One of the 100 famous mountains in Hokkaido, popular among climbers in the southern part of the region, "Mt. Keizan" was visited with the intention of being an accommodation for mountain trips. "Hotel Keifu" is a small hotel located at the foot of Mt. Keizan, standing on Keizan Cape, boasting two types of spring wells with flowing hot springs and dishes made with fresh ingredients from Maehama fishing port. The name "Keifu" is written as "cape" in English, a clever naming that rhymes with Keizan Cape. It is located 90 minutes from Hakodate, for more details please check on the Tabelog screen. The southern part of Hokkaido is a treasure trove of gourmet food and hot springs, so there are various ways to enjoy it. Starting from a business hotel in Hakodate, you can explore izakayas and shops, relax at Yugawa Onsen, or even line up for breakfast at a famous hotel. However, this time the choice is Mt. Keizan. The blessings of the mountain have showered me with abalone, steak, and sushi in the form of "Go to" Kei. Furthermore, the parking lot at Mt. Keizan itself is the trailhead, so you can park your car, prepare for climbing with drinks, refreshments, and toilets at the hotel, enjoy the approximately 3-hour climb of the famous spiritual spot Mt. Keizan, and check in directly, making it the hotel closest to heaven for climbers. The only issue is the weather, but that is a matter of one's daily actions and self-responsibility. It's not my fault. This time it was sunny, and I boasted to my partner, "It's because my daily actions are good," to which she replied, "It's not you, it's because my actions are good," and so on. We argued about who was responsible, but couldn't come to a conclusion. It could be neither of us. So, after absorbing plenty of negative ions on the forest bathing course designated as a prefectural park, and sweating with moderate exercise, I enjoyed the highly effective hot spring. This facility also operates as a day trip bathing facility and offers a source-flowing main bath and a circulating main bath, as well as a popular hot spring for women with beautiful skin, "carbonate hydrogen salt spring," and a highly sterilizing "sodium chloride spring" in small baths and open-air baths. The sauna is a high-temperature far-infrared type, but there is no TV, and there is only one sand timer for the sauna, so it's not the best sauna experience. The cold water bath is experiential, but at around 16°C, it is not too lukewarm, allowing you to stay in for a long time. The shampoo and body soap quality varies, but it's closer to the lower end. Even I, who doesn't pay much attention, can clearly tell when it's bad, so I think it's better to bring your own bath products. In addition to this, guests can use the exclusive bathhouse for guests at any time during their stay. After sweating, I went to the day-trip relaxation corner for a beer before dinner. This is my special treat when I stay as a driver. ■ Dinner "Kei Course" ◆ Assorted hors d'oeuvres I enjoyed ham, crab claws, and smoked salmon mixed with sauce and vegetables. A healthy dish that goes well with alcohol. ◆ Three kinds of small dishes I nibbled on various appetizers. ◆ Sashimi Served in a sashimi bucket, an impressive assortment of tuna, button shrimp, octopus, salmon, scallops, and sea urchin. I don't know the exact place of origin, but it was delicious. However, it takes up space and there are other dishes, so I ate it early. ◆ Meat dish Beef loin steak I was delighted to have a warm steak at this timing. It's not very voluminous, but there are plenty of other things to eat, so it's not a problem. It was a tender and delicious loin meat. ◆ Fish dish Scallop bacon roll ◆ Fried food Fried golden threadfish ◆ Grilled dish Grilled cod Elegant seasoning on the cod, which also goes well with sake. ◆ Hot dish Dancing grilled abalone Grilled abalone with butter soy sauce for a rich flavor and chewy texture, it was delicious. ◆ Meal Nigiri sushi Sea urchin, salmon roe, tuna, mackerel ◆ Soup ◆ Dessert Homemade water yokan and petit cake I leisurely enjoyed a cold sake with a separate order. ■ Breakfast Buffet Salmon, squid, sweet shrimp, and salmon roe are all-you-can-eat, so I transformed them into a seafood bowl. If there is a place with salmon roe, it doesn't have to be a famous inn.
