糸島yummy
I visited the restaurant on a weekday at 11:30 AM with a reservation. In front of the restaurant, the menu displayed clear photographs of the courses. There were also chairs for waiting. Upon entering the calm and relaxing interior, I noticed there were tables as well as private rooms in the back. Although the private rooms are paid, they offer a sense of privacy and can be utilized for various occasions. You can enjoy views of the cruise from the windows as well.
I ordered the 3,500 yen course featuring motsunabe (beef tripe hot pot). We started with sumo (vinegar tripe). The tripe was tender and easy to eat, with a gentle flavor and topped with yuzu pepper, offering a taste of Kyushu. Next was sesame mackerel; the tender mackerel paired perfectly with a sesame sauce, making it an excellent match for alcohol—it's too bad I visited on a day I wasn't drinking. This dish was garnished with myoga (Japanese ginger), which added a nice touch.
Then, it was time for the motsunabe. I had the option to choose between soy sauce and miso, and I decided on miso. The pot was filled with rich broth and vegetables, revealing delicious tripe peeking through. The aroma intensified as it cooked, and the staff was attentive, cooking it for us. They topped it off with fresh, raw garlic chives from Itoshima, adding a photogenic element to the dish. When we finally enjoyed the motsunabe, the soft tripe and plentiful chives in the gentle miso broth were delightful. Even first-timers could easily enjoy the flavors, thanks to the experience of Hakata Rou, which has been delighting patrons with its Japanese cuisine for years. The portion was generous enough for one.
In between, I had the ramen salad. I've been a fan since it was offered in Daimyo, so I was thrilled to finally have it again. It had a light flavor and included plenty of vegetables, making me want more! The portion was just right for the course, and I plan to return for it as an à la carte option.
The meal also included a cheerful selection of three types of noodles for the finale: zosui (rice porridge), champon noodles, or curly noodles. I chose the curly noodles, which were pre-cooked and ready to enjoy at the right moment, allowing me to savor them to my liking. Despite feeling full, the deliciousness made it hard to stop eating. The dessert, a sorbet and jelly, was also tasty.
The staff provided attentive and detailed service, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere, making it a lovely restaurant experience. It felt like a wonderful establishment from the days in Daimyo had returned! While the main shop is great, I also recommend this more casual spot for hosting guests.
An article has been introduced on Yahoo News. You can search for it via copy-paste or on tripcamera with "Fukuoka Gourmet." If you're looking to host in Fukuoka, here are my top recommendations:
- Sumo
- Sesame mackerel
- Motsunabe course
Depending on the course, there are also options for live squid sashimi and Kumamoto horse sashimi. The menu even includes dishes like Chikuzenni (a simmered dish) and okyuto, and you can thoroughly enjoy all that Fukuoka has to offer. The ramen salad, with its perfectly balanced healthiness, has returned and can now be enjoyed as part of the course.
Note: A la carte options are also available, and both the motsunabe and the water chicken courses are delicious!
On that note, Yahoo News will be releasing an article in the evening today.
