Ikebukuro Tobu Department Store Gourmet Autumn Hokkaido Fair '23/9/14 (Thu) to 9/27 (Wed) [Menu] Fresh Doughnuts 301 yen~ Plain, Custard, Caramel, Berry, Chocolate, Pistachio After eating ramen, we bought fresh doughnuts as dessert. We chose "Pistachio" among various flavors. The dough is very soft, so when you bite into the doughnut, the pistachio cream oozes out from everywhere. It comes in a triangular packaging to avoid getting your hands dirty, but it was a bit difficult to eat. There are several eat-in spaces inside the venue, and if the weather is good, you can also enjoy it on the Sky Deck. KOKAGE's booth is available throughout the event, but the fresh doughnuts are only available until 9/20.

I was curious about the cream puffs, but they were all bought up by the previous customers, leaving only two. The puff pastry was not crispy but rather soft and squishy. The waffle bar, which had chocolate on top, cannot be reheated and also lacked a crispy texture, feeling a bit soggy. The waffle bars at C Sapporo were also like this. Hmm, I don't think I'll be revisiting.

I was watching a TV special on crepes and suddenly had a craving for something sweet! I wanted crepes! So I headed to this nearby shop that I've been to a few times. The crepes here are a bit different from regular crepes. The crepe batter has a rich buttery aroma and a combination of crispy and chewy textures. I always order the simple chocolate crepe. It was delicious! My craving for crepes has been satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I was curious about what a s'more was, so I looked it up on the web. It turns out that a s'more is a sweet treat made by sandwiching roasted marshmallows and chocolate between crackers or biscuits. It's so delicious that you'll end up saying "some more" and that's how it got its name. The s'more I tried was a large, heavy cookie with a roasted marshmallow sandwiched between coffee shop-style rectangular cookies. It was as tasty as it looked! The crunchy cookie and the texture of the marshmallow went really well together. I definitely want to try other items on the menu. It was so delicious! Thank you, s'more!

I wasn't planning on stopping, but I was drawn in by the shaved ice sign. It was so hot that I decided to give it a try. I chose the summer orange flavor. It cost 700 yen, a bit pricey for a fancy shaved ice. It had fluffy whipped cream, orange jelly, and maybe some ice cream inside. I've only had regular shaved ice before, so it was a nice change of pace.

I suddenly felt like having a snack and visited this place. I arrived just before closing time, so I felt a bit sorry. I ordered a cookie choux cream (caramel) and a blueberry scone. The choux cream had a hint of caramel mixed with the custard cream inside, creating a deep sweetness. The blueberry scone was a bit greasy but had a soft texture and was delicious. I usually don't warm up scones, but maybe it would have been better if I did? The crepes were sold out, so I couldn't try them. I would like to come back next time around lunchtime to try them!

When it gets hot, my symptoms worsen, and I have a designated rare disease specified by the government. There is still no medicine to cure my rare disease. However, temporary improvement in symptoms can be achieved by administering "blood products" for five consecutive days. Last year, I was hospitalized five times for rare disease treatment. I was admitted for the second time this year on April 4th but was discharged 58 days ago. Due to worsening health, I have made a reservation for my third hospitalization this year, which will take place as soon as a hospital bed becomes available. Your supportive comments are always a source of encouragement for me during my hospital stays. I am truly grateful. Moving forward, I will mainly focus on reviewing past content that has not been reviewed yet. New visits will be limited based on my health condition. "Kokage" is a dessert shop that serves pancake sandwiches and cropples. The shop opened in October 2020 and is affiliated with "Logiura Cafe." I had been curious about this shop since using Logiura Cafe at the "Hokkaido Ice Cream Fest" held at Mitsukoshi Sapporo store. On a holiday evening, I made my first visit with my usual companion. The shop is located in the Yamate area of Nishi Ward, Sapporo, right near the popular "Handmade Udon Teraya," listed as one of the "Top 100 Udon Restaurants" on Tabelog. Please check Tabelog for the exact location of the shop. I visited around 5:30 pm on a holiday. I searched for dessert shops open on holidays on Tabelog and visited several shops with no specified regular holidays until finally finding one that was open on a holiday on my fifth attempt. Many items were already sold out. The sample items that my companion liked were already sold out. I ended up buying two items that were still available. - Pancake Sandwich Mix Weight: 102g (after deducting the weight of the packaging) A fluffy pancake base with creamy filling containing three types of fruits - orange, strawberry, kiwi. The dough is cooked after ordering, resulting in a soft and melty texture. Price: 550 yen (tax included) - Cropple Garlic Butter Weight: 49g (after deducting the weight of the packaging) A cropple with a strong garlic and ghee flavor. It is easy to eat with a stick resembling an ice candy. It has a unique texture, different from the popular "waffles made from croissants" in Korea. The texture is similar to "Dutch senbei" waffles, which are currently manufactured and sold near the shop in Nishi Ward. It may be a collaboration product between the two shops in Nishi Ward. Price: 320 yen (tax included) The "Pancake Mix" had a good-sized, nice pancake base that can rival the famous shop from Sapporo with a branch in Ginza. The "Cropple" has a unique texture that is similar to the bendable and unbreakable "Dutch senbei," with a soft and distinctive texture. I was delighted to find a dessert shop open on a holiday evening. Next time, it is highly likely that my companion will buy the sweets they wanted. (laughs) It was delicious, thank you.

When I went to buy a crepe, there was a space to sit and eat, which was nice. However, the wooden table was rough and shaky, not very comfortable. The crepe had a lot of dough and was crispy and delicious. The whipped cream was lukewarm, it would have been better if it was a bit colder. The honey lemon flavor was tasty. I would like to try other flavors of crepes as well.

I happened to come across a sweets shop nearby and was intrigued by the menu. They had a deep orange-colored cheesecake called "Manga-like cheesecake". The name was quite interesting, so I decided to buy it without hesitation. Despite its manga-like appearance, the taste was a classic cheesecake with a strong sweetness. It wasn't as cheesy as I expected. They also had other interesting items like "Croffles", waffles made with croissant dough. I still have more items to try, so I will visit again and review them. It's surprising how you can overlook a sweets shop nearby... The shop is called KOKAGE, nestled in the shade of the trees. Have a good day.

It has been a long time since I visited this place since the open sale event. When they first opened, the young male staff seemed a bit nervous and the crepes were overcooked and falling apart. However, this time the crepes were soft and delicious. My son got a student discount, so it was a great deal at half price! They asked to see the post on Instagram for the discount, which was a bit bothersome, but we managed to get it applied. They seem to have started selling cream puffs too, so I would like to try them next time.

I took this as a takeaway as the last dessert at the Hokkaido Products Exhibition. I believe it was called something like "Manga Cheesecake" and it looked like cheese from a Disney movie. The taste was pretty good, just like a regular delicious cheesecake. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place where they serve crepes with a whole peach on top, which I had been curious about for a while. Inside the shop, there were delicious-looking croffles and pancake fruit sandwiches. You have to wait a bit for your crepe to be cooked after ordering. The staff were very kind, opening the door for us and all. The peach crepe turned out to be a bit disappointing because the peach wasn't ripe, giving it a crunchy, vegetable-like texture. Only a small part was sweet and juicy, while the rest tasted more like an unripe peach. The custard cream and whipped cream inside were subtly sweet and delicious. The crepe itself was crispy and fragrant, really tasty. I think it would have been much better if the peach was ripe. I'd like to try other items on the menu next time!

The colorful fruit sandwich in the showcase at the front is eye-catching, but what caught my attention was the "cropple" which is a combination of croissant and waffle, said to be trending in Korea. They were sold out of the plain flavor so I went for the cinnamon sugar one. This sweet treat uses clarified butter called "ghee", which is also gaining popularity now. The cropple is easy to eat as it is served on a stick, so you don't have to get your hands dirty. The taste is like a croissant taiyaki, with a crispy outside and a fluffy inside, quite delicious. They also have crepes and a wide variety of menu options. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

- Cropple 300 yen - Pancake sandwich (chocolate) 400 yen I finally had the chance to visit this place after missing out on their opening sale where they sold out quickly. Cropple is a new trend from Korea, and it's my first time hearing about it. It's made with croissant dough in a waffle form, which sounded delicious. It's like biting into butter and sugar, absolutely sinful and incredibly tasty. The texture is denser than a regular croissant, giving it a satisfying bite. They also make it fresh upon order, but you can't take it to go in that case. The pancake sandwich, while not as tasty as Tsubaki Sand or Honki Sand, is still a good value for its size. The dough is firm, almost like chiffon cake, with a strong egg flavor. The cream filling is just the right amount of sweetness, not too overwhelming. They also sell waffles, which I regret not trying. They have crepes and other trendy items, so it might be fun to visit and try them out. Thank you for the meal!

Record of my trip to Hokkaido. A place I wanted to try in Hokkaido was Kokage. I ordered a butter crepe as I often see fruit sandwiches at events. The appearance is like a regular crepe, but the texture is different! It's not chewy, but crispy. It was my first time trying a crispy crepe. I had plans for dinner later, so I just had one crepe to save room. If I didn't have plans later, I would have tried a crepe with whipped cream and fruit.笑

I was curious about this place called Kakage-san. I came here because I wanted to eat crepes. They offer crepes, waffles, and pancake sandwiches here. I ordered a caramel nut crepe with ice cream topping and a plain waffle. The waffle was put in a cute bag. The crepe was crispy on top and chewy towards the bottom, which I liked. The caramel, ice cream, and cream were not too sweet and easy to eat, but towards the end, there was too much cream, so I felt a bit heavy. However, it was delicious, and I would like to eat it again. The room temperature waffle was quite dense and had a good elasticity. I warmed it up in the toaster for 3 minutes as recommended, but it remained moist. It wasn't my preferred type of waffle. Thank you for the meal!

I headed to a popular soup curry restaurant in the West district for lunch and spotted this place nearby that I had seen on TV before and was curious about. This is a sister store of the popular ROJIURA Cafe in Susukino. I decided to check it out with my friend Nocchimu. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was already one group of people eating inside and another group ordering. More customers kept coming in, showing how popular this place is. The menu includes crepes, pancake sandwiches, and waffles. We ordered a crepe with chocolate and banana filling, and later decided to also get a pancake sandwich. The crepe with chocolate and banana had a thick, chewy texture. It didn't use too much whipped cream or chocolate, so you could really taste the flavors of the banana and the crepe itself. It seemed like they wanted you to enjoy the taste of the crepe. The pancake sandwich was simple, allowing you to enjoy the taste of the pancake and cream. The pancake had a slightly dense texture with a hint of egg flavor, but a mild taste overall. The sandwich was filled with a cream made from three types of berries - strawberry, blueberry, and cranberry. The pancake was moist with a fine texture, and the cream had a good balance of sweetness and the tartness of cranberries, with the strawberries and blueberries tasting fresh and delicious. There were some minor disappointments, like inconsistencies in the pancakes, but overall, the service and atmosphere were good. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place which serves soup curry in the West district and it's relatively new, just opened! I noticed that it's related to Logiura Cafe (ΦωΦ) I had seen their pancake sandwich before, so I was curious about it...! -Crepe (Honey Lemon) The recommended item at the shop is the honey lemon crepe. The outer layer is crispy while the dough itself is on the chewy side. It's similar to the dough of a clover. The ingredients are not visible until you eat through the dough, so there's a lot of dough elements. The slightly sweet milky cream and the subtle acidity of honey lemon do not interfere with the dough, making it a well-balanced topping, but for those who like to enjoy the ingredients in crepes, it may feel a bit lacking... -Waffle (Chocolate) After ordering the crepe, a freshly made waffle arrived with a tempting chocolate scent...! It smelled so good...!! I couldn't resist the temptation (˘ω˘) I thought it would be a hard waffle like Manneken, so I didn't mind, but it turned out to be chewy, which I like...! The chocolate was quite bitter, giving it an adult-like taste (completely opposite to the American junky feel). If there's a shop nearby, I would definitely want to come back for this...!!! It was by far the best thing I had this time, haha. -Pancake Sandwich I only planned to buy a crepe, but I got curious when I saw it and ended up trying it... The plain pancake tasted like scrambled eggs...!? The texture was soft and bouncy... The berry pancake, on the other hand, had a more pancake-like taste, with a slightly different texture and flavor... It might vary depending on the person making it...! The berry pancake seemed more like a pancake sandwich, and I thought it was delicious... But I wished it had more fruits...! (I had just eaten a fruit sandwich with lots of fruits right before, so even more so...). It's similar to Tsubosand in terms of style, but personally, I prefer Tsubosand. It was a good discovery that the waffle, unexpectedly, was the one I wanted to come back for the most...! It's a bit tough because it's in an area that's hard to visit, but if I have the chance, I definitely want to try the waffle again...! Haha, thank you so much, wu-ta-san! (((orz

I visited around 12:30 on a holiday in November 2020. I used this place for dessert after lunch! The location is near the intersection of Yamanote Street and Konoei-cho Street, close to the famous udon restaurant "Teraya". There is no parking lot, so you need to think about parking a bit. There is no seating for dining in as it is a takeout-only shop, so there are no tables. The showcase is lined with pancake sandwiches. Popular items like original crepes, pancake sandwiches, and waffles are available. I ordered the Clear Butter crepe as my first choice before entering, and my companion ordered the Very Very Strawberry crepe. The Clear Butter costs 380 yen (tax included) and has a simple yet flavorful crepe with roasted almonds and low-temperature butter. The texture and taste are unique, with a crispy texture and a buttery flavor. The Very Very Strawberry costs 490 yen (tax included) and is filled with three types of berries, whipped cream, and berry sauce. The crepe itself is delicious, and the combination of berries and cream is fresh and not too sweet. Overall, the highlight is the attention to detail in the crepe itself, allowing you to enjoy the flavor of the crepe and butter. I would like to try the pancake sandwich next time.

- Honey Lemon Crepe, 460 yen This crepe is recommended as it is not too sweet and has a refreshing taste. The lemon with the peel on gives a natural acidity and a hint of bitterness, leaving a light and delicious aftertaste. - Pancake Sandwich with Shine Muscat, 650 yen The fluffy pancakes with plenty of whipped cream and large Shine Muscat grapes are indeed delicious. However, at 650 yen, it might be a bit too expensive. If judged on the pancake alone, it would be a 3.3 out of 5. Thank you for the meal!
