In May 2022, I visited "Yakiniku Tokoen" in Hiroo Town with some business partners based on the recommendation that their liver is delicious. Despite the rainy weather, we were the only customers in the restaurant. We ordered various items including beef tongue, beef liver, pork hormone, premium kalbi, tripe, raw lamb loin, chicken cartilage, kimchi, and salt ramen. The beef tongue was thick and satisfying, while the hormone was well marinated in miso sauce. The premium kalbi was not too fatty and had a tender texture. The beef liver was surprisingly thick but delicious when cooked to medium-rare. The salt ramen was made with thin and smooth noodles, and the unique soup with chicken oil and seasoning had a pleasant kick to it. Overall, the experience was different from another yakiniku restaurant in the same town, and I would recommend trying the liver and the ramen when visiting again in the future.
