I was in the mood for horse meat dishes, so I visited this restaurant, Bettei. Every horse meat dish is delicious, and I always find myself struggling to choose what to eat. This time, I ordered a sashimi platter and sakura grilled meat! The sashimi is fresh and tasty, and the grilled meat has a light dipping sauce, so it doesn't feel heavy at all. I'm actually drawn to order the grilled meat because of this sauce! As it’s getting colder, I want to try shabu-shabu next time. I had it before, and it was also delicious! The restaurant has private rooms, so I can enjoy my meal without worrying about others. It's one of my favorites!

The food and sake were both delicious. I tried comparing different types of Kubota sake a few times, which ended up costing quite a bit, so I think I'll hold back a little next time, haha. There weren't any older employees around; it felt like the staff was mostly made up of young people.

If someone asks me for recommended places in the Shinsaibashi area, I would definitely mention this restaurant, which serves both sushi and horse meat, both of which are incredibly authentic and delicious. It’s the popular sushi restaurant "Oyaji Last Hand" and its annex. The annex not only offers sushi but also a wide variety of horse meat dishes that are high in protein, healthy, and have beauty benefits. Personally, I prefer the annex over the main restaurant. I visited at 5:00 PM, and the exterior and interior exude a calm "Japanese" atmosphere filled with a sense of luxury. I had a great time enjoying my meal while watching the cooking process. The spacious counter seats and a relaxing private room in the back were available; that day, I was seated at the counter. The menu offered both course and à la carte options, and I chose the à la carte while asking the staff for their recommendations. - **Horse liver**: This is a rare find that is available in limited quantities. If you see it, count yourself lucky! It has a plump and smooth texture, with a rich flavor that explodes in your mouth; it was so delicious, it brought me to tears. - **Sakura nabe (cherry blossom pot)**: The fresh horse meat can be eaten raw and is perfect for shabu-shabu. The flavor of the meat was exquisite, and the broth for the pot was unbelievably delicious; it made me tear up. - **Sushi platter**: It included sweetfish (hamo), sea urchin (uni), fatty tuna (otoro), striped jack (shima-aji), mackerel pike (kamasu), squid (kensaki-ika), red shrimp (aka-ebi), and scallops (hotate). While the horse meat was fantastic, the sushi was also extraordinary. The bite-sized sushi was easy to eat, and I could have kept eating it endlessly. - **Oyaji’s specialty! Oyaji roll!**: Although priced at market rates, this is a must-try when you visit. It features luxurious ingredients like caviar, salmon roe, sea urchin, and fatty tuna, making it a top-tier menu item. I think you can tell how amazing the food is... I ate so well. It’s not easy to find such high-quality horse meat in Osaka, so whether you're a horse meat lover, someone who's never tried it, or even if you usually dislike it, I highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant. Of course, the sushi is delicious, and the service and atmosphere are also great. Thank you for the meal!

We had a gathering with five people to enjoy drinks with friends visiting from afar. As it was our first time at the restaurant, we asked for recommendations on dishes and drinks, and the chef came to our room to assist us personally. Their service was very kind and attentive, which contributed to a wonderful evening. I would love to visit this restaurant again if the opportunity arises.

I visited a restaurant in Shinsaibashi where you can enjoy authentic sushi and carefully selected, fresh horse meat dishes delivered directly from Kyushu. Horse meat is a low-calorie, high-protein health food with beauty benefits, and it's simply the best! 😊 This restaurant is open until midnight, and its main branch nearby even operates until 3 AM. They offer completely private rooms and larger spaces for groups. The menu includes both course options and à la carte items, making it suitable for a variety of occasions like dates, business meetings, or group gatherings. ✨ - **Nigiri Sushi** starts at 200 yen; I ordered sushi that was incredibly fresh and to my liking. - **Oyaji Maki** (price varies) features luxurious toppings like sea urchin, fatty tuna, and salmon roe combined on a shinko roll, topped with a mountain of caviar! This extravagant oyaji maki was unbelievably delicious. - **Sashimi Platter**: 3 types for 1,980 yen; 5 types for 2,800 yen. - **Horse Sashimi Platter** for 2,800 yen. - **Sakura Grilled Horse Meat** for 3,800 yen. This horse meat can be eaten raw, and grilling it enhances its flavor. Everything was excellent! I highly recommend you check it out! ================= I share gourmet info on Instagram → @misa_stagram_osaka Please follow me! ❣️ =================

I visited "Oyaji Saigo no Nigiri Bettei" in Shinsaibashi with an acquaintance. This restaurant is part of a series of places I’ve been to recently, and it mainly features private rooms. This time, we ordered à la carte and enjoyed some horse sashimi, fried dishes, and beef as appetizers before diving into the sushi. The taste was consistently delicious, and the balance between the sushi rice and the toppings was just right. For dessert, we ordered the Oyaji roll, which I, someone who dislikes pickles, found surprisingly tasty. I would rate it ★★★☆☆, which is 3 points. I went to eat here for the first time. I don't eat horse meat often, so I can't say I'm an expert, but I do have a good eye for delicious horse meat, and the dishes here are fantastic! I enjoyed everything from the horse sashimi to the stone-grilled meat. There are some interesting names of sake, so I recommend trying them! ☺️

This is a restaurant specializing in horse meat. The sashimi was delicious, and I could really appreciate the freshness. The lava-grilled dishes were also tasty. I would like to try the hot pot next time, and I'm really looking forward to it. (The photo shows an appetizer. The "horse meat hamburger" was served smoked.) Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant is located just a short walk from Osaka Metro Shinsaibashi Station, offering a convenient location. The exterior and interior exude a calm "Japanese" atmosphere filled with a sense of luxury, allowing diners to enjoy their meals while watching the cooking process. The spacious counter seats provide a comfortable dining experience, and there are fully private rooms at the back for relaxation. On this day, I was seated at the counter. The menu offers both coursed meals and à la carte options, and I decided to go with à la carte after asking the staff for recommendations. - **Horse Meat Burger**: The smoky aroma was delightful, and the horse meat was so savory and delicious. - **Horse Sashimi Platter**: Featuring fatty chutoro, selected sirloin, marbled brisket, and throat fat. As you can see in the photo, the lean meat had a robust flavor, while the fat was sweet and melted in your mouth. The quality of the horse meat was exceptional. - **Aso Lava Grill**: This included fatty chutoro, selected sirloin, horse fat, and marbled brisket. Each bite released an abundance of flavor. The sweetness of the horse fat and the meat's texture were incredible, and the tangy sauce made with pickled plum paired wonderfully, making me emotional about how delicious the grilled horse meat was. - **Sakura Hot Pot**: Featuring loin, brisket, water spinach, enoki mushrooms, and garlic chives. The horse meat was used for a shabu-shabu, and the flavors in the broth were just out of this world. Imagining a rice porridge made with that broth would bring me to tears. - **Special Sushi Platter**: Five pieces including fatty chutoro, sirloin, marbled brisket, lean sirloin, and negitoro. The quality was evident when eaten raw, and naturally, everything was delicious. - **Sakura Snowstorm**: This signature dish had yam rolled up and topped with a mix of (sakura meat, sea urchin, and salmon roe) in abundance. It didn't stop there; it was finished with a generous dollop of caviar and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. The combined flavors of sakura meat, sea urchin, and the texture of yam were incredibly pleasing and absolutely delicious, making me emotional again. I had a fantastic meal in a splendid space with excellent service, and I cannot recommend this wonderful restaurant enough. If I had to choose, I would highly recommend the Aso Lava Grill; the grilled horse meat is sure to amaze you. Since the restaurant has just opened and is not widely known yet, now is the perfect time to visit. Whether you're a horse meat lover or have never tried it before, or even if you're hesitant about it, I strongly urge you to give this fantastic place a try. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

There are very few restaurants specializing in horse meat, and with many private rooms available, it's great for business meetings or dates. The mini burgers made from smoked horse meat are a delightful surprise that really boosts the mood. The sashimi is sweet and delicious. I was able to enjoy a bit of everything, including grilled meat, hot pot, and sushi. There's also a wide selection of drinks available to enjoy.

A restaurant where you can fully enjoy exquisite horse meat! The interior has a luxurious and calm atmosphere. There are about three private rooms tucked away behind the counter seats, making it suitable not only for dates but also for business meetings and gatherings, as you can connect the private rooms. Since the private rooms and counter are somewhat separated, it doesn't feel too noisy. This time, I chose the counter seats. The chairs were comfortable and spacious, allowing me to enjoy my meal while chatting with the staff! The menu offers both courses and a la carte options, and I decided to go with the latter this time. I love horse meat and have been eating it occasionally, but this was the freshest I’ve ever had, with sweet, delicious fat. I’m worried I won’t be satisfied with other horse meat elsewhere in the future (laughs). The starter was a bite-sized horse meat burger. When I lifted the glass lid, a smoky aroma wafted up—very impressive! Here are the highlights: - *Sakura Nabe*: You can enjoy horse meat in a shabu-shabu style, lightly. The broth was incredibly delicious, bringing out the meat's umami! You can even add noodles, which I really wanted for the end of the meal, but I had ordered so many other dishes that I had to give it up this time. - *Aso Lava Grilled*: It had a nice, roasted flavor while maintaining just the right amount of fat. The umami of the meat burst in my mouth with each bite. It paired perfectly with the special sauce and salt—I could eat it endlessly! - *Sakura Fubuki*: The preparation right in front of you adds to the experience. First, they roll mountain yam with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese, then pile on horse meat, salmon roe, and sea urchin, and top it all off with caviar. The spectacle got the nearby customers excited too (laughs). Each ingredient complemented one another without clashing, making it an incredibly luxurious and delicious dish! The drinks include a variety of sake specially made to pair with horse meat, so you can choose based on your preferences or the food. I was able to select my favorite from various types of sake cups. It paired so well with the dishes that I ended up drinking a bit too much (laughs). Though the prices are on the higher side, the quality is worth it, or even exceeds it, offering a high level of satisfaction. I highly recommend it for special occasions like anniversaries! Horse meat is healthy and good for your body, so it’s perfect for those trying it for the first time. Thank you for a wonderful meal! ♡

In September 2023, a specialty horse meat restaurant called "Gaikentsu Mon" opened in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. While I often eat beef and chicken, I rarely have the chance to enjoy horse meat. This newly opened restaurant is unique in offering a wide range of horse meat dishes, allowing guests to fully indulge in this delicacy. The restaurant has an elegant atmosphere, making it perfect for a date. Right by the entrance, there are several counter seats, while further inside, there are spacious private rooms. It's suitable for an intimate dinner for two or for larger parties. The menu features traditional horse meat dishes like sashimi and sakura nabe, as well as interesting options like horse meat croquettes, potato salad, and tempura. It's exciting to see horse meat incorporated into various dishes. There are also two course options available for 7,000 yen and 16,500 yen. The sake selection includes unique options paired with horse meat dishes, such as "Shichikanba." To start, we had a horse meat burger as an appetizer. It was lightly smoked and aromatic. The horse sashimi platter (3,500 yen) was the first main dish, showcasing a delightful combination of sweet, rich fat without any unpleasant gamey flavor. Once you take a bite, you can immediately appreciate the high quality of the meat. The next dish was horse liver (2,500 yen), which had a firmer texture compared to regular beef liver and was delicious. The highlight for me was the Aso lava grill (4,200 yen). On the plate, the horse meat and vegetables were grilled to perfection, yielding flavors and juices akin to beef. Surprisingly, it didn't even feel like I was eating horse meat. While the sauce was good, I recommend enjoying it with just salt. Another favorite was the sakura nabe (3,800 yen). The meat's umami was extraordinary, and the broth that developed from the meat was delicious. Adding noodles or rice as a final touch was simply the best. We also ordered the restaurant's signature dish, "Sakura Fubuki" (market price). This extravagant plate featured yam rolls topped with horse meat, sea urchin, salmon roe, and caviar. It was pure bliss in every bite, with the creamy and crunchy texture of the yam adding a delightful twist. To finish, we had a selection of five pieces of horse meat sushi (3,000 yen). While grilled options are great, enjoying the meat raw or as sushi reminded me of its high quality. The prices may feel a bit high overall for individual items, but the experience makes it worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a slightly upscale dining experience with delicious horse meat. You should definitely check it out!

Gaisenmon, a specialized horse meat restaurant, recently opened in Shinsaibashi. The interior is filled with a luxurious atmosphere and a calm ambiance, featuring a row of counter seats and private rooms for groups in the back, creating a nice setting. As for the food, it was extremely delicious. I enjoyed the horse sashimi, fatty tissue, horse meat sushi, horse meat shabu-shabu, horse meat yakiniku, horse meat tempura, and horse meat fried chicken – everything was tasty! This place is definitely worth revisiting and comes highly recommended. There are two set menu options: the Sakura Course for 7,000 yen and the Gaisenmon Course for 16,500 yen, but you can also enjoy dishes à la carte, so it’s easy to drop by casually. For other posts, check here: @ichiharajunichiro. Gaisenmon, 1-19-22 Higashi Shinsaibashi, Chuo Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. Phone: 050-5590-6240. Here’s the restaurant's account.

I visited the restaurant with two family members. On my previous visit, I was blown away by the deliciousness of the horse meat right after it opened, which prompted me to come back. Since my last visit, the selection of sushi toppings has increased, and the place feels less like a specialized horse meat restaurant now. The horse meat, especially the shabu-shabu, is incredibly delicious and I believe most people would enjoy it. As for the fish (including sushi), it’s not the main focus, so my impression is that it’s just decent. The rice did not match my personal preference, but overall, I was very satisfied. However, I did have one concern regarding the sake-steamed dishes. I think the alcohol content is quite strong, which might be an issue for some people who can’t handle it. Since I believe the sake is offered at a very reasonable price, a lighter alcohol flavor in the sake-steamed dishes could enhance the overall experience and preserve the taste of the sake. I think it would be better to focus on the flavor of the dish itself with just a little sake for seasoning.

The freshness of the sakura meat was excellent! It tasted just as good as what I had in Kumamoto, and I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Additionally, I appreciate the thoughtful touch of providing us with a private room, especially since it was just the two of us. Thank you for your consideration.
