I heard that a super popular restaurant, known for its long queues in Tokyo, has finally opened in Osaka, and I've been wanting to go for a long time! ✨✨ They operate continuously for lunch and dinner at the same price. Since it was my first visit, I started with the basics... I ordered the signature dish: "Ultimate" Thick-Cut Beef Tongue Grilled Set Meal for ¥2990 (tax included ¥3280). It comes with beef tongue soup, beef tongue curry, beef tongue meat miso, grated yam, and salad. Isn’t the lineup that comes with it incredible?
The meat is cut from the most delicious and rare part of the beef tongue and grilled carefully over charcoal, then finished in an oven. Honestly, the thickness is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Six pieces of thick beef tongue come with the set, which is amazing!
Now, about the set contents:
- **Salad**: It had nice leafy greens (with fewer stems, haha) and the dressing complemented the meat perfectly—delicious! ✨
- **Beef Tongue Soup**: A milky white soup with chunks of beef tongue throughout. This is so tasty—it's made by simmering beef bones and tails for a long time to extract the flavors, packed with the umami of beef tongue.
- **Beef Tongue Curry**: Another dish with chunks of beef tongue in a sweet and spicy curry that was simply too delicious to stop eating after the first bite.
- **Beef Tongue Meat Miso**: This features carefully selected domestic miso blended with secret seasonings and ground beef tongue, then allowed to meld. It has fresh green chili peppers for a spicy kick—so good!
- **Grated Yam**: Made from carefully selected domestic mountain yam with special soy sauce added, it was the perfect topping for the beef tongue.
- **Special Thick Egg**: Available for an extra charge, while rice can be served in large portions for free! They also have a quirky statement about being able to refill, depending on the mood.
In any case, it was incredibly delicious, and I can’t understand how there wasn’t a line! It wouldn't be surprising if reservations become hard to get, so I’ll definitely be returning before that happens!

Our specialty is the "Kiwami" thick-cut grilled beef tongue set, made with charcoal-grilled thick slices of beef tongue served with hot rice cooked in a large feather cooker! It costs 2,999 yen. You can get double portions of beef tongue for an extra 2,500 yen.

I found out that Lemon-san has opened in Osaka, so I immediately made a reservation and went there. The signature dish, the "Ultimate" thick-cut beef tongue, was tender and incredibly delicious. It was really tender and so tasty that I mentioned it twice! (laughs) I ordered it alongside the wagyu short ribs, but the thick-cut beef tongue was overwhelmingly more delicious (that’s the third time). So next time, I think I'll just order the thick-cut beef tongue. The rice is also worthy of five stars, thanks to the rice meister. The rice cooked in a pot was very tasty, and I had three helpings. I was stuffed! I was extremely satisfied!!! There’s a one-hour rule from the time you enter until you leave, and since it's a set meal, the turnover is quite fast. When I arrived, there were about ten people in line, but by the time I finished my meal, the entire queue had changed.

I had been curious about this restaurant (∩˃ ᵕ ˂∩)♡ so I made a reservation through Tabelog a week in advance. When I arrived, there were about five groups waiting, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. The thickly sliced beef tongue had no distinct odor and was incredibly tender, melting smoothly in my mouth. The moment I took a bite, I knew I would absolutely want to come back because it was truly delicious! ✨ The side dishes of tororo (grated yam), soup, curry, and miso were all also really tasty (⸝⸝⸝ᵒ̴̶̷̥́ ⌑ ᵒ̴̶̷̣̥̀⸝⸝⸝). The lemon chuhai drink was extremely refreshing, and the atmosphere along with the service was just lovely. This time, I had the two types of beef tongue, but next time, I will definitely go for the thick-cut tongue! The single order of the "haneshita" (a cut of beef) was also delicious, so for those with a bit of room in their stomach, I highly recommend trying it! (՞˶・֊・˶՞).ᐟ.ᐟ

I hate thin beef tongue, so if I'm going to eat it, I want it thick! I went to a new restaurant I saw on Instagram for that reason. As expected, there was a line... but that's to be expected since everyone probably wants thick beef tongue too. I was seated at the counter, which is the best spot! Haha. I watched as the beef tongue was being grilled one after another on the grill, eagerly waiting for my turn. This was the thickest beef tongue I've ever had, and it was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the meal!

This is my third visit. I enjoyed it so much that I recommended it to my friends and my wife, and before I knew it, I was going there every week. I was once again amazed by the deliciousness of the rice. The variety of dishes and the taste of the beef tongue also satisfied me. It was really tasty!

I visited for lunch on a weekday around 1 PM and found a line outside! Although I had to wait, the turnover was quick, and I got in sooner than I expected. I ordered the "Ultimate" thick-cut grilled beef tongue and salted koji aged tongue set. The thick tongue was incredibly satisfying to eat! It was very delicious, but the thickness made it a bit challenging for me, so I asked for a knife to cut it (laughs). The meat miso and tororo both complemented the tongue nicely. I was also surprised by how tasty everything that came with the set—salad, soup, and curry—was! The interior of the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and it had a pleasant atmosphere overall!

The grilled beef tongue was absolutely amazing! I upgraded my meal to the "Extreme Thick-Sliced Beef Tongue & Aged Salt Koji Tongue Set" with a change to ikura rice for an additional 990 yen. While I found the Aged Salt Koji Tongue to be a bit tough depending on where I was eating, the thick-sliced beef tongue was tender and easy to chew, with no unpleasant odor—just delicious! I felt so happy enjoying it. I also tried various flavors with the beef tongue miso and tororo. The ikura was a bit small, but for an additional 990 yen, it felt like a good deal! Plus, I appreciated the free refills of white rice after the ikura bowl. The set came with salad, beef tongue curry, and beef tongue soup, so the generous portion of the main beef tongue had me very satisfied. Personally, I was thrilled that they offered cold green tea instead of just water!
If you want to try a variety, it's a great idea to order both types, but if you prefer tender beef tongue, go for the thick-sliced beef tongue—it's the best! I visited for lunch, but given the location, the road was congested, and nearby parking was full, so I had to use a street parking ticket a bit further away. The last order was at 2:30 PM, and I was starting to lose hope, but when I asked the staff closing the sign, they kindly guided me inside! Despite being close to last call, they told me I could get as many refills as I wanted, and the staff in the kitchen smiled back at me whenever our eyes met. It was incredibly inviting and comfortable in there! (I will definitely come back…) Since it’s a popular spot, be prepared for long waits during busy times and plan your visit accordingly—I learned that the hard way! Thank you so much!

The thick-cut tongue was surprisingly tender, and the salt-miso tongue had a nice chew to it. The meat miso, soup, and beef tongue curry offered great volume for the price! You can get extra rice, and the large portion is truly large. My child enjoyed the thick-cut tongue and beef ribs. We arrived earlier than our reservation, but they were prepared for us, and it was a place I definitely want to visit again.

The meat was thick and had a strong charcoal flavor, making it very delicious. The grilling was done perfectly. The staff were very kind and asked about the preferred cooking level! I went around 12 PM on a weekday, but it was fully booked. It's better to make a reservation. After 1 PM, there were about five groups waiting in line.

On November 21, 2024, after exiting the ticket gate of Kintetsu Nipponbashi Station, I went up the stairs to exit 29 of Namba Walk, and I immediately found the restaurant. The interior is clean and stylish, and the box size is just right—not too big and not too small. After 12 o’clock, it almost fills up. I arrived around 11:20 AM, so I was seated at the counter without a reservation and could enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. The open kitchen has counter and table seats arranged around it, providing a good view for both the staff and customers. The service was kind and attentive.
Rice is unlimited, but soup incurs an extra charge. During lunch, there are about four types of set meals on the menu, and I ordered the second most popular dish, the grilled beef tongue set. They mention that if you're not fond of rare meat, they can cook it thoroughly for you, but since I'm okay with rare, I left it up to them. The meat was incredibly tender and filling, and the rice portion was just right. It comes with a small bowl of curry for a nice change of flavor, so it doesn’t get boring. It costs around 3,000 yen, but it’s a place I’d like to visit occasionally. That was my dining experience. Thank you for the meal!

A popular restaurant from Tokyo known for its long lines has finally opened a new location in Nipponbashi, Osaka: Gyutan no Remon (Beef Tongue Lemon). The menu at Gyutan no Remon is simple, featuring only three dishes: thick-cut beef tongue, salted malt-aged tongue, and black wagyu short ribs.
This time, I tried their most popular dish, the "Ultimate Thick-Cut Beef Tongue Grilled & Salted Malt-Aged Tongue Set." What you must try at Gyutan no Remon is the signature Ultimate Thick-Cut Beef Tongue. The incredibly thick cut of beef tongue has a perfectly cooked pink interior, and its texture produces a delightful crunch, showcasing the unique chewiness of beef tongue while being both tender and texturally satisfying. It's such an exquisite dish that three slices disappear in an instant.
On the other hand, the salted malt-aged tongue has a firmer bite than expected, but it's wonderfully filling, and the combination with meat miso and dashi tororo is outstanding, allowing you to enjoy as many bowls of the complimentary rice as you can handle.
Surprisingly, the set also comes with a mini curry, which has so much meat in it that you might think there’s more meat than sauce! This set is packed with meat, from the main dish to the sides and soup.
This amazing thick-cut beef tongue restaurant, Gyutan no Remon, is so delicious that you'd want to wait in line to eat there. Thank you for the meal!

The portions were huge, and I ended up with a very full stomach. The meat was soft and delicious. I recommend making a reservation, as you’ll have to wait in line if you don’t. The serving time is extremely fast, so if you're hungry, you can eat right away.

I visited the restaurant on a date with him. We had a reservation for 12 o'clock, but there were a few customers lined up in front of the restaurant, so it was great that we had a reservation. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and the staff's attention to detail was exceptional! Of course, the grilled beef tongue was plump and very delicious! I definitely want to go again.

I went with my sister after seeing it on Instagram! We ordered a two-sample platter of thick beef tongue and salt koji-marinated beef tongue. It came with oxtail soup, salad, and beef tongue curry, all of which were delicious, and I definitely want to go back. The curry was on the spicier side! The miso and tororo that accompanied the beef tongue were also really tasty!

I visited on Saturday night before 6 PM. I was lucky to get in without waiting, but a line formed right after. I was recommended the regular tongue and salt-marinated tongue, so I ordered those. First, I was surprised by how delicious the rice was. Additionally, since there were large portions and unlimited refills, I could only predict that I would eat too much. There were many side dishes, and everything was delicious—thick-cut tongue, tongue curry, salt-marinated tongue, and tororo—all paired perfectly with the rice, and I definitely overindulged. It was delicious!

I had a set meal! The thick meat was incredibly delicious! The lemonade and lemon sour drinks allowed me to squeeze fresh lemons myself, which was a nice touch! I was also happy that refills for rice were free! It came with a small bowl of grated yam and curry, so I was very satisfied! ✨

I visited "Lemon," a grilled beef tongue restaurant located in Nihonbashi. It seems to be a popular Tokyo restaurant that's expanded to Osaka. I ordered the signature "Extreme Thick Cut Grilled Beef Tongue Set Meal." I changed my rice to high-quality egg and ikura (salmon roe) rice. The set meal comes with various sides, so maybe ikura was an extra that wasn't necessary. Green tea, of course.
I started cutting the beef tongue from the tongue's tip. The extreme thick cut beef tongue set meal arrived, along with a beef tongue curry that was generously filled with beef tongue, high-quality egg and ikura rice, and a vegetable salad. The beef bone soup was made from large beef bones. The doneness of the grilled tongue was perfect.
I made sure to eat the vegetable salad first, keeping it healthy. Adding tororo (grated yam) to the beef tongue was delicious. The ikura rice looked great—definitely worth ordering. It was really tasty. I couldn't stop with the spoon and finished the ikura rice in no time.
I added the leftover rice with meat miso on top, which was quite good as well. Next, I put tororo on the rice. The combination of beef tongue and tororo rice is outstanding. I asked for a second serving of rice, about half of what I had before, and added beef tongue curry on top. That was delicious. Adding the beef tongue made the flavor explode; beef tongue curry and beef tongue go well together—that's obvious.
The total price was 4,700 yen. Well, it makes sense that it's a Tokyo price since it's a Tokyo restaurant. If I hadn’t ordered the green tea and ikura, I could have kept it around 3,000 yen. Personally, I was happy to taste the unique texture of the tongue's tip. It was quite a nice experience.

I was also interested in the salt malt, but I ended up ordering the classic option. The meat was delicious and exceeded my expectations, so I was very satisfied! If I had to say one thing, I would have loved a bit more lemon to make it perfect. The side dishes all had plenty of beef tongue, which was beyond what I imagined, but the standout was definitely the soup, which I really enjoyed! The curry was quite spicy, so it would have been nice if it were a bit sweeter or if there was an option to choose the level of spiciness. Additionally, I found it a bit awkward when the staff interrupted our menu discussions, asking about what we were doing next or making small talk unrelated to the meal, so I’m giving it a star less for that!

I returned to the restaurant with my partner because the food was delicious last time! I ordered the popular "Kiwami" thick-cut grilled beef tongue with salt koji aged tongue set meal, while my partner ordered the signature "Kiwami" thick-cut grilled beef tongue set meal. We compared the two, but I felt that the "Kiwami" thick-cut grilled beef tongue set meal I had last time was more to my liking! My partner was also happy, so I definitely want to visit again. The rice refills and large portions are free, and the staff were really friendly. Thank you for the meal!
