Nanba Tonteki Set! The rich sauce is delicious, the meat is thick, and you can get unlimited refills of rice, soup, and drinks, making it a great value at 1,100 yen. There are plenty of seats, and you can sit comfortably. I appreciate that there is sparkling water in the drink corner. You can also enjoy coffee after your meal.

I entered the restaurant around noon on a weekday, and there were plenty of seats available, so I was able to get a table quickly. The cheapest option is the daily special set for 950 yen, while other dishes cost 1,100 yen. Rice, soup, and drinks are self-serve. I had the tonteki set meal, which was delicious and filling, even though it was a bit salty. The spacious seating made it easy to enjoy my lunch at a leisurely pace, which made the experience even better.

Today, I'm back from the Nara National Museum's Shosoin Exhibition! I really enjoyed the autumn scenery and weather in Nara! I entered the restaurant around 7 PM. I started with a DX mug and some fried oysters, which are seasonal items. Recently, I've been starting my meals with seasonal dishes! After that, I ordered my usual favorite menu items. I'll be back again!

Today, I visited Nara Hiryūji Temple for the special autumn opening! It was an unusually warm day for early November! So, I entered the restaurant around 6 PM. I started with my usual DX mug! I also tried the seasonal limited menu item, the fried oysters, which I highly recommend! I'll be back again next week!

At the OCAT restaurant mall in Namba, there is a beer restaurant that used to be an Asahi beer hall. On this day, I ordered two Extra Cold beers and two types of snacks for 1000 yen. I got a great deal with a coupon. Thanks to a reservation benefit through Hot Pepper Gourmet, I received a complimentary glass of beer! The snacks were potato chips and edamame. Although it’s a specialty beer place, the beers were rather ordinary. There didn’t seem to be much emphasis on how they were poured, but the food was exceptional. The seafood yakisoba was filling, and both the taste and aroma were delicious. The roast beef was also fantastic. I enjoyed it alongside some red wine.

The restaurant I visited is O.C. in Namba, Osaka. I believe it used to be an Asahi direct store, but perhaps the owner has changed? The interior and menu are pretty much the same as before. They have a solid selection of Japanese and Chinese dishes typical of Osaka beer halls. I started with a pint of Maruefu Black Beer. It has a refreshing quality that is surprising for a dark beer, with a mild smoky aroma, making it easy to drink even for beginners. For appetizers, I ordered the Cold Beef (small size) and a combo of Fried Chicken & French Fries. Referring to roast beef as "cold beef" feels a bit retro. The tart sauce it comes with is refreshing and perfect as a starter. The Fried Chicken & French Fries combination is essential in any beer hall, and I appreciate that they mixed the two for better service. Both are just as good as those in Munich. The French fries, fried whole, are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Next, I had a medium mug of Super Dry beer, which is, of course, a staple. I then ordered Tonpeki, Gyoza, and Fish and Chips (small size), which felt somewhat random. Surprisingly, the Tonpeki pairs well with the beer. The small sizes of the Cold Beef and Fish and Chips are also a great help, allowing for more variety in what you can order. For my third drink, I had a Super Nikka Highball and finished off with a hearty Yakisoba loaded with ingredients. After all that, the total came to under 8,000 yen, which is very typical for Osaka. I left feeling completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

I stopped by for lunch while running errands. The mixed grill was quite heavy. It was ¥1080, and I ended up leaving some of the salad with the pea shoots. When you order lunch, you can drink as much as you want from the drink bar♡ I had coffee and hojicha, which was great for a little break♡ Thank you for the meal\(^o^)/ •••┈┈┈┈•• I generally use the average rating from Tabelog when scoring.

Today is the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics! I stayed up late watching TV, so I woke up at noon! In the afternoon, I went to a department store for a Hawaii event, where there was a ukulele live performance by Toshiki Kondo! After that, I went to my usual spot, OC! There were also group visitors, which made the atmosphere very lively! I hope this wonderful space continues to exist for a long time!

Today, I went to OC after visiting the nationwide exhibition for the NHK Taiga drama "Hikaru Kimi e"! I enjoyed my usual deluxe mug and grilled Iberico pork with a salty sauce. Even though I'm not feeling great due to summer fatigue, this dish definitely whetted my appetite! The restaurant was fairly crowded with some large groups, so it seemed quite lively! I'll definitely come back again!

On my way back from shopping, I visited my usual OC! This summer, I highly recommend the grilled Iberico pork with salt sauce (as shown in the picture)! It's the perfect accompaniment to a mega mug—so delicious! The restaurant was moderately busy, creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy your time. It's a great spot among the beer halls in Minami!

I used my points on Hot Pepper Gourmet for lunch at a shop located in OCAT, near JR Namba Station in Osaka. I ordered the "Namba Tonteki Set" for 1,100 yen (including tax). The pork steak was thick, and there was plenty of cabbage! The sauce was rich and sweet. You could get refills of rice and soup, which was great. There was a decent amount of garlic in the dish, but it was cooked down well, so the smell wasn't an issue. Being able to refill my rice made me really happy. I had a lovely, leisurely lunch. I'm thinking about visiting for dinner as well.

Today, I visited the "Hikaru Kimi e" Taiga drama exhibition and explored places like Uji Shrine! On my way back from Uji in Kyoto, I stopped by this place! I highly recommend it to all beer lovers! They serve fish and chips!! In England, the fish is typically served whole, but in Japan, it's cut into this size for easier eating. Of course, they also offer beer in a mega mug!

We had the classic fried chicken at the beer hall, and it was delicious! We ordered a lot of fried chicken just to drink with it! Of course, we also got a salad to add some vegetables. When I'm in the mood for fried chicken and beer, I might go back again!

After the Asahi Beer Restaurant withdrew due to business restructuring on the 5th floor of OCAT above JR Namba Station, the Sho-kei Group from the Sheep House in Abeno has reopened a beer restaurant called Beer Restaurant OC Namba OCAT. Both YCAT and OCAT have struggled to fully utilize their original airport operations, leaving only the facilities behind, which has weakened their appeal. Many users of JR Namba do not go up to the 5th floor, and it’s a disadvantage that there’s no direct access from the bus terminal on the 2nd floor. They are running an opening campaign throughout the month, so I hope people will take advantage of it. Lunch was quite popular during the time of the previous Asahi Beer Restaurant, so I believe there is demand. The Sheep House in Abeno is also quite popular.

I used to visit a beer hall that was managed by Asahi, but now it seems to be operated by a different company. Honestly, the interior hasn't changed at all, and the menu feels almost the same. I stopped by for lunch and didn't drink any beer this time. It was disappointing because they used to have a promotional price of 300 yen for beer. The mixed grill set and the fried oyster set are nice, and they offer all-you-can-drink soft drinks and consommé soup, which is great. I think it was around 1,050 yen for each. The food tastes more like a family restaurant than a typical Western-style restaurant. The place is spacious and not crowded, making it convenient to use.

I stopped by for lunch. Since it was early, I was able to get a table right away and ordered the mixed grill set. It came with soup and a drink bar. I also had some of my companion's fried oysters, which left me feeling full. If it had been a day off, I would have loved to enjoy a lunch beer, but I had plans afterward, so I held back. I enjoyed my meal very much.

A new (or perhaps reopened) beer restaurant has opened on the 5th floor of Namba OCAT. I don’t often visit OCAT, but it’s convenient for tourists using the bus terminal. This time, we booked a course meal with all-you-can-drink options for a party of seven. There was plenty of food, and we drank quite a bit of beer, highball, and wine, so I think we definitely got our money's worth. I forgot to take photos, but the large fried chicken was delicious. Beer and fried chicken are the best together. I believe this is a hidden gem with great cost performance!

I visited a newly opened beer hall in the early afternoon. It’s located on the 5th floor of OCAT at JR Namba Station. The place is non-smoking, with a designated smoking room available on the floor. Since I arrived after 1:30 PM, I had the late lunch fried chicken set and a bone-in fried chicken as part of their opening campaign. Both dishes were delicious. By 2:30 PM, the soup and rice refills ended. The staff had informed us in advance, but they didn't check with me if I wanted a refill, possibly because they thought I wouldn't or it was an oversight. The drink bar had its last orders at 3 PM. They had a glass of wine service coupon available through Hot Pepper. The campaign beer for 300 yen was a great bargain! It was a cost-effective beer hall.
