I visited Kacchan Gyoza's Sennichimae branch, which is about a 5-minute walk from Namba Station! Here’s what I tried (prices include tax):
◆ Lemon Sour: 319 yen
◆ Kacchan Gyoza (6 pieces): 418 yen
◆ Cheese Gyoza (6 pieces): 528 yen
◆ Mapo Gyoza (6 pieces): 715 yen
◆ Pork Shumai (3 pieces): 418 yen
◆ Marinated Chicken Thigh Fried Chicken: 605 yen
◆ Plain Chicken Thigh Fried Chicken: 528 yen
◆ Negishio Chicken Thigh Fried Chicken: 605 yen
◆ Overflowing Cheese Mapo Tofu: 746 yen
◆ Salmon Yukke: 572 yen
◆ Grilled Mackerel: 638 yen
◆ Sesame Sauce Tofu Salad: 638 yen
◆ Sesame Balls: 748 yen
The restaurant grand opened on June 19✨ It’s a well-known gyoza izakaya. The dining area is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, featuring both private rooms and open seating! When I visited, the 3rd floor was under renovation, but there were tatami seating options suitable for larger groups.
Now, for my review:
◆ Kacchan Gyoza (6 pieces)
These are plain gyoza with garlic. They were delicious on their own, but they also paired well with miso, ponzu, and soy sauce!✨
◆ Cheese Gyoza (6 pieces)
This dish was irresistible with its melty, gooey cheese. Cheese truly reigns supreme here!
◆ Mapo Gyoza (6 pieces)
A gentle spice level in these gyoza filled with mapo filling. The flavor was terrific without being overly spicy, which I really enjoyed!✨
◆ Marinated Chicken Thigh Fried Chicken: 605 yen
The marinated flavor penetrated well, perfect for those who love bold tastes!
◆ Plain Chicken Thigh Fried Chicken: 528 yen
You can enjoy the juicy meat in this classic fried chicken. In my opinion, it doesn’t get better than this! Haha.
◆ Negishio Chicken Thigh Fried Chicken: 605 yen
This is so delicious that it would pair very well with rice. The green onion salt complemented the fried chicken wonderfully!
◆ Overflowing Cheese Mapo Tofu: 746 yen
The addition of cheese elevated the flavor of the mapo tofu, making it so tasty that you’ll crave white rice with it!
◆ Salmon Yukke: 572 yen
The combination of egg yolk and fatty salmon was simply incredible!✨
◆ Grilled Mackerel: 638 yen
This dish had a nice level of acidity, making it perfect with drinks.
◆ Sesame Sauce Tofu Salad: 638 yen
A generous portion that can serve about four! The tofu was cut into bite-sized cubes, making it easy to eat and delightful!✨
◆ Sesame Balls: 748 yen
These were fragrant with sesame flavor and had a delightful chewy texture, making for a fantastic dessert.
I definitely recommend checking it out!

I visited for the first time. I forgot to take pictures of the drinks and some items, but I have a photo of the gyoza. The Jim Beam highball was just 99 yen. There are many types of gyoza to choose from, making it fun to try different flavors. The gyoza I ordered this time were spicy gyoza and regular gyoza, both of which were juicy and delicious. However, I personally think it would be good to order a salad as well.

The all-you-can-drink option was only 770 yen, which was a real bargain! Even on a weekday, the place was lively and full of customers. It's one of the rare restaurants where smoking is allowed. The food was average, nothing special, but if your main focus is on drinking, I think it's a great deal. Since it has just opened, the restaurant was also very clean.

There is an all-you-can-eat and drink plan that includes dumplings, which offers great value for the price. It is popular among groups and relatively younger people. I thought it was perfect for a first stop since you can eat and drink as much as you like for that price! The dumplings come in various flavors and pair perfectly with beer.

Gyoza starts at 219 yen. It’s an incredibly cheap and high-value place!
The drinks at 1 yen are just too cheap!!
It seems like Mondays and Tuesdays are the special deal days!! Check with the restaurant for more details. ✅

This was my second time visiting. The restaurant is really spacious and clean! There are a lot of young people, so it’s quite lively. This time, I was on the third floor. It really feels like a casual izakaya. For the all-you-can-drink option, you have to order at least two drinks per person! The famous gyoza was quite delicious, and the side dish of bean sprouts namul came in such a large portion that it could easily be enough for drinking on its own! Haha.

At the "Cheap Drinks and Gyoza Bar," you can enjoy a Highball for ¥99, Kacchan Gyoza (3 pieces) for ¥199, Juicy Gyoza (3 pieces) for ¥260, Horse Sashimi Yukke for ¥880, Dote-ni (Braised Beef) for ¥580, Cheese Gyoza (3 pieces) for ¥299, and Mapo Gyoza (3 pieces) for ¥350. The restaurant offers a single-plate drink option for ¥500 and an all-you-can-eat and drink option starting at ¥2,200! Despite the low prices, all the gyoza are delicious, and they have a total of 9 different kinds to choose from! My absolute favorite was the Juicy Gyoza. You can order them in batches of three, so be sure to try a variety.

The restaurant's signature dish, "Kacchan Gyoza," has a crispy exterior that's bursting with juicy meat filling. Once you have one, you won't be able to stop; you’ll want to eat several! The menu also features creative gyoza variations, such as the "Mapo Gyoza," topped with a generous portion of spicy mapo sauce - a perfect match that makes it a great accompaniment to drinks!
With fresh sashimi and plenty of drink-friendly menu items, the final touch is the yakisoba (fried noodles), which has a wonderfully aromatic sauce flavor that is very delicious! Topping it with a fried egg would also be a nice option.
The interior is quite spacious with plenty of seating, including private rooms with sunken kotatsu seating, making it a versatile spot suitable for various occasions.

This gyoza restaurant is located near Namba Grand Kagetsu in Namba, Osaka. True to its name, it offers a wide variety of gyoza, and it’s also an izakaya with many other dishes like fried chicken. This time, I ordered the signature Kacchan gyoza, which has a slightly thicker skin that provides a chewy texture, making it juicy. I also tried the soup gyoza. I was happy to find a miso sauce for dipping! The "Kobore Mapo" wasn't very spicy, but it had a generous amount of minced meat in the mapo sauce, making it delicious. The prices are reasonable and there are quite a few seats, so it's especially recommended for younger people. On this day, it seemed like they had a reservation later, so I felt a bit rushed, which was a bit disappointing. However, it could be a good place for a second stop.

I visited on a Friday night, and it was quite crowded, so I think it's better to make a reservation if you're going with a large group. The highballs are only 99 yen, which is very cheap, so we ended up eating and drinking quite a bit, and it was about 3500 yen per person. I think it's reasonable.

I came across a friend by chance and decided to stop by for a little drink after we had already eaten. I noticed that a new place had opened up in Namba, and even though it was on the second floor, it was quite lively. We ordered fried chicken, French fries, dumplings, and some fried items (laughs) along with beer and highballs. Surprisingly, we didn't order any gyoza at this gyoza place! (laughs) Without gyoza, the menu didn't have as many options as a typical izakaya, but it was a nice spot for casual drinks. This place might be good if you're looking for an all-you-can-eat and drink option.

It was the third place we visited for drinks in the afternoon. I was already quite full, so I just enjoyed some drinks with gyoza as a snack. At first, we were in a private room, but it was a bit too warm since the air conditioning was weak. I accepted the initial arrangement but ended up asking to move because of the heat. They kindly moved us to the back of the private room, right under the air conditioning, which was much cooler. Thank you for your accommodating response. The gyoza and drinks were all reasonably priced and delicious. I think it’s a great place for a casual drink.

On the night of July 8, 2024, after a client meeting, I dropped by "Gyoza no Kacchan, Sennichimae" lured in by the 99 yen highballs. I was already full, so I ordered edamame and cold tofu. More and more customers kept coming in, and it was clear that it’s a popular place! Next time, I’ll definitely order the gyoza. It’s really cheap!!

The signature dish, "Kacchan Gyoza," features crispy gyoza bursting with juicy filling that’s simply irresistible! Once you have one, you’ll want more and more! A new store opened in Namba this June! It’s a 6-minute walk from Namba subway station, and I paid a visit. This time, I ordered a la carte items! Here are the menu items I tried: ◯ Kacchan Gyoza (6 pieces) ¥418 ◯ Fried Gyoza (3 pieces) ¥264 ◯ Cheese Gyoza (3 pieces) ¥329 ◯ Fried Chicken (thigh) ¥528 ◯ Grilled Squid ¥638 ◯ Chijimi (Korean pancake) ¥528 ◯ Sesame Dressing Tofu Salad ¥638 ◯ Seared Mackerel ¥638 ◯ Sesame Balls ¥748 ◯ Negi Shio Fried Chicken (breast) ¥605 ◯ Overflowing Mapo Tofu ¥638.
First, I had to try the signature gyoza. They are a manageable size, and I could easily eat a lot of them! I find them delicious even without any dipping sauce, but there are soy sauce, miso, and ponzu on the table for some variety. While I enjoyed the Kacchan Gyoza, I really liked the fried gyoza! For the fried chicken, you can choose between thigh and breast; I personally prefer the juicy thigh!
The chijimi had a crunchy outside and a chewy inside, which I loved! It was tasty even without any dipping sauce. The other signature dish, overflowing mapo tofu, is mildly spicy. I could even handle it, and it pairs well with white rice!
This restaurant offers a fantastic deal: an a la carte all-you-can-drink for just ¥777! The all-you-can-eat and drink option starts at ¥2780, making it great for group outings! Being located in the arcade, it’s just a short walk from Namba station, so you won’t get wet even if it rains. The restaurant is brand new, so it’s very clean, and all the staff are energetic and provide great service!

I heard they were having a great sale, so I went, but that course was only available by phone reservation. I was quite satisfied with the taste, but even though I only had a drink or two, the bill was still quite high, so I’m not sure if I’ll go back for a second time... The dumplings had a variety of types and were delicious.

This new gyoza restaurant features a beautiful interior ✨ You can choose between cozy semi-private rooms with curtains or open table seating, making it perfect for any occasion. I had a 1 yen beer and chuhai as part of the opening special, but even without the 1 yen deal, I think the prices are still pretty reasonable. As for the taste, I tried the restaurant's signature gyoza. If you like thick, chewy skin, you’ll enjoy it, but personally, I prefer thin, crispy skin, so I rated it 2.5 stars.
