It's been a while since I had lunch at Il Dorno. Today's recommendation was the octopus peperoncino. I ordered the A set with appetizer and drink. Also, I asked for peach mozzarella for takeout. The pasta had thick and chewy noodles. The octopus was very tender and delicious. The seasoning was quite light, I personally prefer something more hearty. Tomatoes and mozzarella are common, but peach mozzarella was new to me. Surprisingly, peach and cheese go well together. I feel like having wine with this. For a drink at home, I had the Neapolitan pasta. It also had thick noodles and a relatively light flavor. Adding ketchup and Tabasco made it tastier. I hope to enjoy a meal with wine someday.

I thought they had closed down, but it turns out they were temporarily closed due to the impact of the coronavirus. I found out on Facebook that they had reopened for business, so I visited right away. The menu had changed a bit, but they offer a great takeout menu. I was interested in the Neapolitan, pizza, octopus, and mushroom dishes. Since it was after lunch, I opted for some desserts this time. I ordered berry ice cream, tiramisu, and iced coffee. The tiramisu was incredibly fluffy and had a sophisticated taste that paired well with the coffee. The berry ice cream was also reasonably priced at 300 yen. I'd like to visit for dinner sometime in the future.

The menu is quite limited and changes daily. The food was pretty good but felt a bit small in portion. There were various types of wine available.

The restaurant had a stylish appearance and the food was delicious. I wish they had a few more menu options.

As others have mentioned, it's a stylish space. It might feel a bit awkward for two rough-looking guys like us to show up unannounced, haha. The pasta for lunch is reasonably priced and comes in a decent portion. Some places skimp on the amount of noodles, but this place will satisfy most guys. The spaghetti aglio e olio had a nice kick from the chili peppers. A friend who loves pasta didn't know about this place, and I only found out because I checked if they accepted credit cards. It seems like this place has a lot of reviews, so maybe people who know about it, know about it. I haven't seen it in local free papers like Messenger Pigeon or Monthly Qun, though. Maybe I just missed it? Anyway, it's a great place, so maybe they should advertise it more. But I guess too many new customers could overwhelm the staff and regulars. Still, I personally want to recommend this place to more people.

I decided to perform a live show in Kushiro and stopped by on my way there. This restaurant is managed by a house maker. I chose this place because my own house was built here over 10 years ago, and I know the carpenters and architects. I also had a construction request, so I stopped by. The space is stylish and nice. I wanted to take photos inside, but there were quite a few customers, so I couldn't. I was seated and ordered the shrimp cream pasta. It came soon after. I quickly ate the pasta, which was delicious with its rich cream sauce! I stayed for about an hour and a half, chatting while eating. I checked out as I was about to leave for Kushiro, but they insisted on treating me, probably because of the construction request. Still, I enjoyed a delicious lunch as a treat.

This is a restaurant attached to a housing manufacturer. It is located a little away from the city, but there are a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant, which is convenient. We ordered pizza and pasta and made a toast! The pasta was a creamy dish, hot and delicious! And the Margherita pizza was served with fresh basil and a solid crust. The spicy oil was just like regular olive oil, but it suited my taste. It felt like a pizza from Naples. I was very satisfied. It was a wonderful dinner with friends.

It's a drinking spot in Kitami, the second main location. We had heard about a lovely cafe in the area and the restaurant chosen by my wife turned out to be a cafe during the day and an Italian restaurant at night. We made a reservation over the phone and walked there. It's quite cold in Kitami, and after about a 10-minute walk away from the city center, we arrived at "Il Dono Kitami Store." The exterior looked nice, and the interior was even more charming. We were seated at a table by the window. We started with a toast with beer to warm up. We decided on the chef's recommendation, which turned out to be a selection of appetizers. It was priced at 1,200 yen and was quite impressive. The appetizer included Spanish white mold cheese, shrimp fritters, prosciutto, and Amatriciana. Although nothing seemed particularly special, they served their purpose as appetizers. The restaurant is non-smoking, but there were smokers outside. There is also a second floor where young people seemed to be enjoying themselves. They have a wine cellar where you can choose a bottle and enjoy it at your table for a corkage fee of 1,000 yen. The sommelier was very helpful in selecting a white wine for us to start with, followed by a red wine. I opted for an orange wine, which is a white wine made using red wine methods. The red wine we chose was strong but not heavy, as the sommelier had recommended. We also ordered some blue cheese and beef cheek meat stewed in red wine, which were both delicious. The pasta dish, Amatriciana, was decent. The kitchen had a female chef, while the floor staff were male. The sommelier seemed to be in charge and mentioned he would like to visit again during Christmas, but reservations were already full. Overall, the experience was great, and we plan to return. The total cost was around 11,000 yen, which we found to be reasonable. We rated it around 3.8, but the sommelier suggested it could be a 4.0. If the pasta was a bit tastier, it would have been even better. The sommelier was very knowledgeable about wine, and it was enjoyable listening to him. We wished we had asked more about wines during our visit.

◆December 2016◆I had a business trip to Kitami and visited this cafe during my free time with a colleague. It had been about 3 years since my last visit, and it seems like there have been quite a few changes. The seating on both the first and second floors has increased, making it more convenient. There is a wine cellar on the first floor where you can also purchase wine. The second floor seating still has that cozy attic-like hidden feel that we love. [About the Menu] It seems that the menu has changed significantly over the past 3 years. They now offer 4 types of pasta, a chicken curry plate, and pizza. Additionally, there are desserts and drinks available. I ordered a regular coffee with vanilla ice cream, while my colleague ordered a chocolate glass parfait. The ice cream portion was surprisingly larger than expected, with plenty of vanilla beans and a lovely aroma that paired well with the coffee. The parfait my colleague ordered was just the right size for one person and looked adorable with lots of berries. The curry looked really delicious, so I'd like to try it next time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ◆January 2014◆This cafe is located within the Art Home housing company. It is situated a little north of Hamazushi on the Kitami 4th Street side. The first floor sells lifestyle goods such as tableware and furniture, while the second floor mainly serves as a cafe space. The interior design, typical of a housing company, is quite tasteful. I especially liked the second floor's attic-like log house feel. [About the Menu] The menu offers authentic Italian dishes like pasta, pizza, gratin, salad, and desserts, giving more of a cafe vibe than a full-fledged Italian restaurant. During lunchtime, they have two set options: - Set A: Mini salad, pasta, drink, and dessert for 1,260 yen - Set B (for 2 people): A la carte salad, 2 kinds of pasta, drink, and dessert for 2,100 yen In terms of content and price, ordering Set B for two people seems like a good deal. This time, we ordered Set B with Vongole Rosso and Bolognese pasta, as well as Ebi Fritto Caesar salad. Both pasta dishes were well-cooked with varying thickness, slightly on the lighter side in terms of seasoning. The Ebi Fritto salad had a generous portion with delicious bacon. For dessert, we had pear, tiramisu, and raspberry cream. The cocoa powder on the tiramisu had a hint of bitterness, giving it an adult taste. If all this was only 1,050 yen per person, it would be quite a bargain. The atmosphere is nice, and it seems like it will be popular among women. However, the lunch may be a bit high for a solo male diner.

<<Crowdedness and Atmosphere when Visiting>> I visited around 6:00 PM on a Saturday, just as dinner time was starting, and there were no other customers yet. The first floor had a shop selling miscellaneous goods, making it stylish. It didn't seem like my style at first, so I was a bit nervous, but I soon felt very comfortable in the store! <<Available Beers>> I did not check. <<Food Ordered>> Today's meat dish (beef tenderloin) for 1,100 yen Chilled cream pasta with sea urchin for 1,300 yen Orange juice Oolong tea <<Overall Impression>> It's a very cozy restaurant. While it's nice at night, it feels more like a place to relax and enjoy during the day. I was satisfied with both the food and the atmosphere. The service was a bit inexperienced, maybe the staff was new. It's a place I'd like to visit occasionally since it's nearby, but it might be a bit challenging to go alone since there's no counter (laughs).

The cafe "Il Dolce" operated by the architecture and art home company is located in a slightly hard-to-find location, but it has an open cafe outside and is a stylish cafe. It's a hidden gem and a nice place to relax. You can enjoy stylish pasta and pancakes in a quiet and calming space. I visited today to lift my spirits after a disappointing experience at another restaurant. I ordered a set with a one-plate dish of apple compote, ice cream, and pancakes along with a drink for 1010 yen. The pancakes were small but just the right size. The texture was fluffy, yet the wheat flavor was prominent. The cream and berry sauce were exquisite - not too sweet, just right. However, the apple compote felt a bit watery. The ice cream was rich and satisfying with chocolate dice inside. Delicious! The mint leaves were a nice touch. The warm black tea (served in a coffee cup for some reason) was enjoyable and comforting. If I had to mention one thing for improvement, it would be the wet towel - it had a strong fabric softener smell and felt slimy. I prefer disposable towels for hygiene reasons. It would be nice if this could be addressed. I look forward to trying the pizza next time. Il Dolce has a lot of stylish and unique goods. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I was curious about a newly opened restaurant nearby because there were many cars parked in the parking lot. So, I went there for lunch. The result, as the title suggests, is disappointing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is okay. The first floor mainly sells miscellaneous goods and tableware, while the cafe is on the second floor. It's smaller than I expected. The second floor has sofa seats and table seats, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The website says it's Italian, but they mainly serve pasta, pizza, drinks, and desserts, so it's more like a cafe. I went for lunch around 11:30 am. The seats were almost full, and one staff member was working really hard. The staff's service was not bad. The kitchen is on the first floor, and the main cafe is on the second floor, making it difficult to move up and down the stairs. Honestly, it seems like they didn't consider the flow when designing the store, even though it's supposed to be a store for a real estate company. Furthermore, it took about 50 minutes for the main dish to arrive after entering the restaurant (not an exaggeration). It's understandable because there are only two staff members, one serving and one cooking, handling the busy lunchtime. When I asked about the shortage of staff during payment, I was told that they usually only have two staff members. As for the taste of the food, the pasta was cooked al dente, which I like, but the seasoning may vary as it's on the stronger side. It's not bad, but the situation where the cook apologizes for the delay before bringing out the food is a bit off-putting. The lunch set includes dessert and a drink, making it a good deal. Is this to save on labor costs? However, if you have to wait this long, I don't think there will be many repeat customers. Personally, I would prefer to pay a bit more for delicious food without waiting. If they improve on this aspect, I would like to become a regular customer since it's close by, but as it is now, I would not recommend it. This is constructive criticism with hope for improvement.
