Banana Man recommended this restaurant in Furano, Hokkaido, so my father and I decided to visit. The restaurant is located on top of the forest and has a slightly sophisticated atmosphere. I ordered the tempura set and my father ordered the pork cutlet set.

I stretched my legs a bit and came to the supermarket for shopping. It's lunchtime, and I suddenly felt like eating a simple homemade hamburger, so I was drawn into this place. The atmosphere inside the restaurant feels nostalgic. The menu includes soba, rice bowl sets, and more. The hamburger seemed to be hand-kneaded inside and was fluffy, juicy, and delicious. It was topped generously with cheese. It's a nice place to casually drop by. There were plenty of seats, and many families were dining together. In terms of cost performance, the 260-gram hamburger was about 1,450 yen, and the coffee jelly for dessert was 450 yen, totaling around 2,000 yen. Well, it was tasty. Thank you for the meal!

I wish there were more vegetable options, like a mega salad or ramen with a side salad. Even a tuna salad like the one at Denny's would be appreciated.

The staff probably chose this restaurant considering the number of participants. When I arrived, the "set meals" were already on the table, unfortunately all cold. The rice was covered with plastic wrap. I think they could have served the dishes even after we were seated. It's understandable that they may have pre-made the food due to the group size of about 10 people, but this relatively large restaurant with 140 seats might want to reconsider this service. Overall, it's an average family restaurant, nothing exceptional.

When I went to Furano for work and needed lunch, I quickly found a family restaurant called "Restaurant Shiki no Megumi". It is located on the 2nd floor of the A Coop Forest store in Shin-Tomi-cho, Furano City. They are open from 11:00 to 20:00, with parking available and smoking allowed. It's right in the middle of the town. The display is typical of a family restaurant. I ordered the recommended Sauce Katsu Don for 980 yen, which came with a generous portion of pork cutlet, cabbage, and rice. It was quite a filling meal, with the rice being about 1.3 times the usual amount for a katsu don. The pork cutlet had a moderate thickness, the breading was crispy, albeit a bit oily, and the sauce had a tangy tomato flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad and you could feel the effort put into the meal.

Went to this restaurant nearby, it's a branch of AEON Nagayama store (the AEON store is set to reopen on 12/12 after the recent fire incident). The display on the 2nd floor of the shopping facility here is bigger, right? The black sesame soy sauce ramen on the easel menu caught my eye (750 yen). The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious and the smoking area is well separated, with staff in striking white uniforms guiding me to a window-side smoking seat. The menu is impressively diverse, with curry, meat dishes, and rice bowls, but I decided to try the black sesame soy sauce ramen that caught my attention. It arrived promptly after a 5-minute wait, served in a bowl with an overwhelming amount of sesame seeds on top. The soup is dark black, but surprisingly lacks the aroma of sesame. Instead, the scent of garlic chips on top of the chashu tickles the nose. The lukewarm soup is acceptable, with a decent texture from the sesame seeds. The noodles are a bit clumped together, but the thick chashu and normal menma are satisfactory. Overall, it's a decent ramen, but the emphasis on sesame alone feels a bit lacking. Perhaps if it were served piping hot, the evaluation would be different. Ramen at a family restaurant can be tricky, as taste preferences vary greatly. The restaurant is located above the agricultural cooperative, making it easy to find. It is on the second floor, and the view of the town of Furano from the large windows is lovely. The building itself is not new, but it is very spacious and clean. The restroom is located outside the restaurant. It is a family-friendly restaurant with a wide variety of menu items including Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. I ordered a plate set, which was good value for money and delicious.
