Last month, I casually dropped by this restaurant just to enjoy some sake. This time, I returned with a bit of an appetite to savor the highly praised creations by the "Hyper Dried Fish Creator." I first ordered the three sake tasting set of the day: ◉ Sen Rikyu Junmai Sake ◉ Kuro Ushi Junmai Sake, Unfiltered, Fresh Sake ◉ Oujirou Junmai Sake, Gin Fubuki, Pasteurized For snacks with my sake, I had: ◎ Binncho Maguro (Skipjack Tuna) Konbu-Zukuri (seaweed cured) ◎ Toro Sawara (Mackerel) Mirin Dried Fish ◎ Gastro Haramo (the belly of a mackerel) ◎ Moro-kyu (cucumbers with miso) (I forgot to take a picture) First, I tried the Konbu-Zukuri. The chef suggested enjoying it with a generous amount of wasabi instead of soy sauce. The mochi-like texture and the flavor of the seaweed danced through my mouth and nose… it was delicious! Next came the much-anticipated Toro Sawara. I can confidently say it's the best dried fish I've ever tasted in my life. It's simply so delicious, and it’s the perfect pairing for sake. The Gastro Haramo (the belly of Skipjack Tuna) was also extraordinarily tasty. The accompanying shiba-zuke (pickled vegetables) was a nice touch! I was so comfortable that I ended up ordering the three-sake tasting set again, along with two glasses of sake, and ended up drinking quite a bit. The range of sakes is impressive, but so is the variety of snacks, demonstrating great taste. The playful conversation with the chef and the owner made the atmosphere very friendly, allowing easy interactions with other customers. There’s a great selection of drinks other than sake, making it a perfect recommendation even for those who aren’t keen on sake. I feel like I should come back often, fitting to the restaurant’s name... it was truly delicious!

I happened to pass by and found this clean, trendy restaurant that has been open for six months. It has a modern exterior and interior design. They use a QR system without Wi-Fi, which is a bit unusual; instead of ordering through the QR code, you only use it to view the menu and place your order verbally. If you can't read the QR code, you can also view the menu on a tablet provided by the restaurant. There’s an English menu, so it seems like they might have some inbound customers during early hours. The sake selection changes daily, which makes it a great place to visit regularly. With no prior information, I decided to try a tasting flight of three types of sake and a five-item platter of today’s appetizers. Both had good cost performance. The appetizers had bold flavors that paired well with the drinks, although the food might require some careful sake pairing. I found the tasting of the three types of Daijiro sake to be interesting. While the restaurant mainly has a counter seating layout, it feels like it’s geared more towards regular customers. I tried to strike up a few conversations, but they didn’t continue, leaving me with a bit of an outsider feeling, which was somewhat disappointing. It seems that dried fish is popular here, making it a convenient spot for a quick drink.

Due to the impact of a typhoon, we had to change our schedule but finally made it to the restaurant (even though the typhoon never actually hit). The tasting of six types of sake was delightful, allowing us to enjoy a moderate amount of each. The mackerel marinated in mirin was also delicious and perfect as a snack. The ramen seems to be a popular dish, but I was too full to try it this time... Next time I go, I will definitely eat it! The couple running the place were friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I drank sake for the first time in my life at a U-shaped counter, where I enjoyed talking with various people while having a good time with drinks. Since it was fully booked and we were turned away, I think it’s better to make a reservation on Fridays and Saturdays! If you tell the owner that you prefer "something sweet" or "something refreshing," they will recommend a sake that suits your taste! For those who might not like sake, they also have other beverages available, such as beer, highballs, and umeshu (plum wine).

This restaurant is located just a 5-minute walk from Daikokucho Station and offers a great selection of sake and delicious snacks. Everything was tasty, and I had the chance to try dried fish from a "super dried fish creator." They also have sake that pairs well with the dishes, making it a must-visit for sake lovers! For a final treat, I enjoyed a soy sauce ramen infused with seafood flavors, which left me completely satisfied! They also serve other types of alcohol, so I recommend it to anyone who enjoys drinks. I definitely want to come back! Operating Hours: 17:30 - 23:00 Location: 1-5-3 Shikitsuhigashi, Naniwa Ward, Osaka 556-0012, in Dio Corp Namba, a 5-minute walk from Daikokucho Station.

Right near the Namba exit of the Hanshin Expressway, a new place called "SAKE BAR CHOCO CHOCO" is set to open in February 2024! Despite the name, it’s a restaurant known for its delicious ramen and sake! The “Yakan Ramen” is quite reasonable, too! If you go late at night, there’s a one-drink policy, but if you go earlier, you can just grab some ramen. It’s a bit of a trek from Namba Station and also from Daikokucho Station, but I think I found a great place! I definitely recommend checking it out just once, especially since the name is so fun, "CHOCO CHOCO"!

It was a place where you can easily enjoy delicious sake along with tasty side dishes. You can also try the dried fish created by a master of dried fish, which pairs well with the excellent sake they offer, making it a great recommendation for sake lovers. As a finale, there’s a delicious seafood-flavored soy sauce ramen to enjoy as well. In addition to sake, they also serve beer and shochu highballs.
