In June 2021, Howmin Wari was extended, so I wanted to soak in the hot springs a little more. I stayed at Pako for the first time in a while. This time breakfast was included, so it's essentially 1,100 yen per person, 2 people for 2,200 yen! Amazing. So, let's talk about breakfast. The last review was in 2018, but it feels like it has gotten better since then. If there is curry, I will have manga rice. I had half with curry and the other half with egg over rice. Every side dish was delicious, and the Genghis Khan that I thought was delicious last time was still delicious. Although the variety of dishes is not huge, each dish is delicious, so I am satisfied. I want to eat here again. Thank you for the meal.

The hot spring was nice, but I was getting a bit tired of the breakfast, so it had been a while since I stayed. I soaked in the hot spring, sweated in the sauna, and had a good night's sleep. I arrived at the dining area around 7:30 am, expecting it to be crowded, but surprisingly it wasn't that busy. This was unusual. There are usually customers waiting, but not this time. The menu was mostly the same, but the food was good that day. There were a lot of meat dishes like lamb Jingisukan, beef bowl toppings, chicken cream stew, Zangi, and kashiwa-nuki. I enjoyed eating to my heart's content, adding toppings like lamb Jingisukan to the rice or chasing after the mentaiko on the pasta. The kashiwa-nuki was a rare find. I'm not sure if it was just a lucky day or if they made improvements. I'll have to stay again to confirm.

I stayed overnight again and had breakfast. I had chicken tempura, curry, marinated tuna, and Genghis Khan. I wonder if the other dishes are the same? They were delicious, but if you're here for breakfast, you might get tired of it. Maybe it was just a day with similar dishes? I will confirm and stay again next time.

In January 2021, on a Sunday, I had a long weekend off due to taking a compensatory day off. I wanted to go on a trip somewhere, but since Goto Travel was not available, I decided to stay in Kushiro. I walked from home to the hotel, where I have stayed for the third time. This time, I made a reservation for a twin room without meals, but I decided to add breakfast for 1,100 yen. I really like this hotel because the baths are spacious compared to other hotels in the Paco Group like Obihiro, Asahikawa, and Sapporo. The breakfast quality is better at the nearby Lavista Kushiro River, but the accommodation cost is cheaper here! This time, I booked a twin room with breakfast for 6,700 yen (for 2 people!). The bath at Paco is bigger and the hot water is nice, making it very relaxing. Oh, I got carried away there (laughs). I have to write a review on Tabelog (a restaurant review site), right? Speaking of breakfast, the view from the 12th floor is fantastic and really lifts your spirits. The buffet setup is the same as usual, with the addition of wearing gloves and masks. I chose curry rice as my main dish and selected side dishes that would go well with it. There's nothing particularly outstanding in terms of taste, but nothing was bad either. I ended my meal with dessert (pudding) and a cup of hot coffee while enjoying the view. If you can eat what you want for breakfast, relax and enjoy the scenery with a cup of coffee, then 1,100 yen for breakfast is well worth it in terms of satisfaction. Originally, I was planning to go to Lake Akan, but it was postponed due to the suspension of Goto Travel. However, thanks to that, I was able to fully enjoy the hot springs at Paco. I wish Goto Travel would come back soon.

I stayed for a while and noticed that the hotel had been renovated. The lobby and rooms were clean and the hot springs were relaxing. The breakfast area had also been renovated and looked stylish and spacious. The food selection seemed to have been upgraded with more meat and seafood dishes. I enjoyed chicken tempura with sweet sauce, delicious curry, marinated tuna, salmon tataki, and pork Genghis Khan. The breakfast after the renovation was definitely upgraded. I will stay again to enjoy the hot springs and breakfast.

On the 4th day of my trip to Kushiro and Nemuro, I stayed at a hotel for less than 2000 yen including breakfast. With a 1000 yen coupon, it ended up costing me less than 1000 yen. The breakfast buffet had a variety of dishes, including local specialties like salted salmon, salmon fry, and zangi. The dining area had a great view of the Kushiro River and the Nusamai Bridge. The hot springs at the hotel were like a super sento, with bubble baths, saunas, and outdoor baths. The indoor and outdoor baths had glass windows, allowing guests to enjoy the view while soaking. Locals were also seen enjoying the hot springs, and it seems that day visitors can also use the facilities.

Hotel Pako Today, we are staying in Kushiro to have some fun, not risking our lives, but staying overnight. The hotel where we are staying is called Pako. It's my first time staying here. My wife was proud to mention that they have a "large communal bath", but it's not her achievement. We left our luggage here in the morning and started drinking and having lunch in Akkeshi. Oh boy, we drank a lot. The hotel is located along the Kushiro River in the downtown area and is currently under renovation, which is why it was cheap. The communal bath operates on a rotation system, which is inconvenient. There is no lounge available due to the renovation. The bath is located on the 6th floor, usually used as the women's bath. The locker room is all pink, which made me dizzy. Honestly, it's not a very relaxing space. The bath has floor-to-ceiling glass windows with a good view, but the neighboring hotel is taller, so it feels like people can see us. My wife doesn't mind being seen, but it feels a bit weird. The room is spacious and nice, although not new, it doesn't feel old. The service is not exceptional, but it's okay. The beer served is Kirin, which is surprisingly delicious. It was a great way to end the day with a beer.

I have stayed at this hotel several times but this is my first review of the breakfast buffet at Hotel Pako. I had rice, miso soup, cabbage, cherry tomatoes, bacon, ham, zangi (fried chicken), omelette, natto, pickled plums, grilled cod roe, and milk. The dishes were similar to what I usually have, but I was excited to see grilled cod roe, which I love. However, the rice was not cooked well, a bit too firm. It was a shame for the grilled cod roe. The cup natto was nothing special, similar to what you can buy elsewhere, but I was lucky to find some green onions for the miso soup. Green onions are a must with natto, right? The miso soup with tofu and taro used granulated dashi, but even a simple miso soup in the morning tastes good. I don't like taro though. The other dishes were pretty ordinary. Since it's a buffet, they were already cold. The milk was delicious and had a rich flavor. I've never been disappointed with hotel milk, it's strange. Maybe it's because it's from Hokkaido? When I went to make coffee after eating, I noticed they had curry... and it smelled really good. Next time I stay here, I won't forget to have curry for breakfast. Thank you for the meal.

This is a business trip breakfast in Kushiro. It's close to Suehiro, so when you go drinking, you can go to the neighboring Lavista or here. Even though I've stayed here many times, there are still places I haven't written about occasionally. Yesterday, I went for a business run and didn't go drinking, so I spent the night with just water and protein, and ended up eating too much because I was so hungry (ﾟдﾟ). There are plenty of vegetables, so maybe it's okay? The amount of food is just enough to satisfy. Although I didn't have any, they also serve curry. I quietly like the open-air bath here. The temperature is just right, and there is a large TV, so you can relax alone without getting bored (ﾟ-ﾟ). The only downside is that it's a bit old-fashioned and there are no power outlets by the bedside (*_*) I bring an extension cord with me (・∀・). Now, my task for today is to safely return. A 4-hour drive (・∀・) Let's find some material for a story (・∀・)

I had the classic Genghis Khan, chicken karaage, beef bowl, chicken without bones, and tonkatsu. I consumed too much protein since morning.

For now, in a New Year's Eve-like way, we transition from Heisei to Reiwa. I think soba noodles would be nice. So, at Paco's resting place, I had soba noodles and katsudon. I hope Reiwa brings good things.笑.

I stayed again and had breakfast, which was almost the same every time. I like Genghis Khan, so I'm fine with just this.
