It's been 10 years since I last visited this place. I was surprised myself! The first fruit mochi I tried was so delicious that it was a cultural shock. Fruit mochi must be reserved in advance!!! I picked it up on my way back from LOHAS! By chance, I saw online that they were having a renewal opening at the same time. Uh-oh, it must be crowded! We braved the crowds and made our way to the store. We went from the Expo side, so navigating through the narrow residential streets was a bit challenging. Depending on how you get there, you can arrive smoothly. It was unexpected that we could easily park in the parking lot. It was empty! Phew! We also each received a first-come, first-served gift this time. Thank you! The fruit mochi I bought this time included chestnut, strawberry, melon, Japanese pear, grape, muscat, and pineapple. I chose the lineup for this season except for persimmon. I also bought one bean daifuku. They are cute sizes, but you can tell that each one is carefully made. It's like a treasure box of mochi. Even after 10 years, the deliciousness is still impressive. This is the true taste of carefully selected fruits. These are Osaka's specialty items that showcase the skills of the craftsmen. Delicious!!!! Each and every one of them! They all bring smiles to everyone's faces. The renewal opening gifts included black sugar dorayaki, matcha dorayaki, matcha red bean bousse, and a 100 yen discount ticket. The dorayaki has a chewy skin and delicious red bean paste. It's a step above regular dorayaki. The bousse is also incredibly fluffy. The matcha cream inside and the red beans are exquisite! Truly amazing traditional Japanese sweets from this long-standing shop.

Established in the 22nd year of the Meiji era, Matsuzakado is known for its fruit mochi. It's a shop that I have loved for a long time, and I often find myself craving their treats. The shop is located on a one-way street with a parking lot just a short walk away. It takes about 20 minutes on foot from the nearest Hankyu Yamada Station. Unlike typical fruit daifuku, Matsuzakado offers fruit mochi that is truly unique. You can also purchase their products online, and they have a branch in Kobe as well as participate in department store events. The mochi comes in two types of outer layers - one made with gyuhi (soft rice cake) and the other with plump kuzu (arrowroot) - and I personally prefer the gyuhi type. The fruit varieties change with the seasons. On weekdays, the parking lot fills up quickly just 5 minutes before opening, and there is often a line outside the shop. Various payment methods are accepted. My favorite is the peach, but since it's not strawberry season yet, I tried the persimmon, melon, and Shine Muscat flavors today. I also bought their exclusive fruit skewers. The Shine Muscat was my first time trying it, and it was delicious with a crispy skin and juicy center. The white bean paste inside was not too sweet, balancing well with the fruit. The peach today was a bit less ripe and sweet than I expected, but still tasty. I wonder if they have the special item available now? I might have to go back soon! I'll be waiting for the strawberries to be in season. Thank you for the delicious treats!

It was my first visit, so I ordered the recommended 4 items today. The restaurant is listed in the Top 100 Restaurants 2022 and I've been curious about it for a while. Among the 4 dishes, the peach was especially delicious! (top left) I was told it can last 2-3 days in the refrigerator, so I would love to use it as a souvenir.

I have been eating Matsushiro's fruit mochi since I was a child, and my favorites are peach, persimmon, pineapple, and strawberry. I prefer the mochi with sweet bean paste filling. Today, I had peach and pineapple flavors, and I was surprised to see that the packaging had changed. I definitely prefer the previous white and pink box with a clear film. I wish they would at least give us the option to choose. #Matsushiro Fruit Mochi #Matsushiro #Fruit Mochi #Yamada Higashi, Suita City #Peach #Pineapple #Peach Fruit Mochi #Pineapple Fruit Mochi #Suita Gourmet #Suita Sweets #Suita Wagashi

The company's philosophy is "deliciousness in eating and enjoyment in seeing." They pay attention to the design of their fruit mochi. The Shine Muscat fruit mochi has a nice crispy texture on the skin. The Pione grape seems to have the skin peeled off. The mochi is thick and satisfying. All the fruits are juicy and delicious.

My friend who lives near Matsuzakado always brings it to me every time we meet, so I have received it more than ten times already. Every time I eat it, I think that the quality of the fruits is superb. I am especially impressed by the quality of fruits such as mango, cherries, and peaches, which must be quite expensive. There is never any compromise in the quality of the fruits. I am happy every time I receive it. It is also safe to use as a gift.

It is located quite a distance from Banpaku Kinen Koen Station. Both the muscat and pineapple are large in size. The muscat is incredibly juicy and bursting with flavor, making it hard to believe that it is a processed product. The combination of white bean paste and mochi complements the muscat perfectly, creating a delicate balance of sweetness and chewiness. The pineapple is also juicy, with a perfect balance of acidity, sweetness, white bean paste, and mochi. While it may be challenging to get to due to its location, the dish is more than satisfying.

I tried it for the first time in 13 years. Recently, fruit daifuku is quite common. Instead of fruit daifuku, these have thin mochi with fresh seasonal fruits inside. Today, I bought 6 flavors: pineapple, melon, mango, peach, sakuranbo, and banana & raspberry. The juicy fruits are carefully wrapped in mochi, almost like a work of art. It's really delicious!

Visit Date & Time: 13:45 on Sunday with light rain Wait Time: None Menu: Purchased pineapple, mango, peach strawberry, strawberry, orange, and melon flavored mochi that were available at the time of visit. I tried the orange one, which had a sweet and delicious filling. The price was cheaper compared to other common fruit daifuku shops, so I felt like I got a good deal being able to try various flavors. Thank you for the meal.

About 10 years ago, the comedian Shinsuke Shimada praised the various fruit mochi at this place on several TV shows, and since then the shop has become famous and clean. It is located near Yamada Daiichi Elementary School along a one-way street on the old road. I visited after a long time, and the fruit mochi is around 300 yen each, while other traditional Japanese sweets are around 150 yen. I bought a strawberry fruit mochi for 340 yen and a kashiwa mochi for 140 yen plus tax. The fruit mochi has a soft mochi filled with sweet strawberries and white sweet bean paste, which is delicious. It would be irresistible when paired with a bitter green tea.

I visited a long-established Japanese confectionery store called "Shokado Suita Yamada Honten" in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, which was founded in the 22nd year of the Meiji era, to try their fruit mochi. When I entered the store, I saw dorayaki and fruit mochi lined up in the showcase. I ordered the "Fruit Mochi Sakura Peach Strawberry" for 442 yen and "Ohagi" for 162 yen (all prices include tax). The "Fruit Mochi Sakura Peach Strawberry" didn't have much cherry blossom flavor, but the sweetness of the peach-like mochi, the refreshing taste of the white bean paste, and the acidity and sweetness of the strawberry balanced each other out perfectly and tasted delicious! The acidity and sweetness of the strawberry added a nice touch. The "Ohagi" had a perfect combination of not overly sweet red bean paste and the chewy texture of the mochi rice. It was delicious! Highly recommended!

I enjoyed a variety of fruits in a delicious daifuku. Strawberry is a classic choice, but there were also melon and pineapple. Mango and kiwi were also included, and they all looked so cute that it lifted my spirits. I ended up eating the pineapple, but the melon and other fruits were eaten by my mother and nephews. I couldn't try the kiwi that I was curious about... Next time, I'll have to get my revenge.

I often visit this traditional fruit mochi shop that has been around for a long time. The mochi looks cute, and it changes its shape depending on the season, which adds to the enjoyment. This time, since it was before Hinamatsuri, the mochi had a cute hina doll shape. The strawberry inside was juicy and delicious. It's a recommended shop for souvenirs as well.

I visited around 12:10 on a regular day. They still had some fruit mochi left. I think it was around 200 yen for one when I bought it over 10 years ago, but the price has definitely gone up. It had been a long time since I last ate it, but it was juicy and delicious. The only downside is that it doesn't last long, but I think it's perfect for a souvenir.

Tabelog Sweets WEST Top 100 Stores 2022, Ranked 84th out of 100 in Western Japan, Tabelog Overall Rating 3.70, Visited on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 15:10. Takeout contents: Sakura Peach Strawberry - 442 yen, Banana & Raspberry - 313 yen, Orange - 313 yen, Pineapple - 313 yen. I was hoping to get the fruit mochi I was looking for. It was a tricky time, but when I arrived at the store, there were a few customers ahead of me! I was on the side where the fruit mochi was displayed, so I thought there might still be some left. I managed to get the above four types as there were only a few left. The following customers also came for the fruit mochi and bought the remaining two types, resulting in a complete sellout. When I got home and tried them, the fruit was indeed the star ingredient, carefully selected for each type. Well, it's only natural for a store that has been selected as one of the top 100 to use such high-quality ingredients. However, the strawberry mochi I had at a top 100 sweets store I visited recently was... tough! Sour! It was a bit of a shock (^◇^;) Also, fruit daifuku and fruit mochi are now available in various qualities, from cheap to high-end, with nationwide chains offering them as souvenirs. I have received them a few times, but they have all been more about appearance than taste, so I didn't have a very good impression. However, if it's a top 100 store, I might have some expectations, so I decided to visit. This time, I was not disappointed, and the mochi, white bean paste, and fruit were all satisfying in taste. In particular, the "Sakura Peach Strawberry" was impressive and delicious. Since reservations are also available, I would like to visit this store again as a souvenir.

Fruit Daifuku is trending, and this shop has been selling Fruit Daifuku for a long time. It is popular locally. The mochi is very thin, and the red bean paste is also light. It's more about enjoying the fruit itself. The price is also cheaper compared to other shops. I bought it after a long time because I passed by the shop. The downside is that there is no coin parking nearby, and the road in front is very narrow. It looks beautiful, so I think it would be appreciated as a gift. Personally, I was very interested in the red rice and the dorayaki. I want to buy dorayaki next time.

This is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop founded in the Meiji era. In addition to traditional Japanese sweets such as manju and dorayaki, their specialty is fruit mochi made with luxurious seasonal fruits. ●Chestnut (442 yen) - Available from September to December. Made with domestic chestnuts squeezed into chestnut paste and wrapped in kudzu-based dough. It has a comforting texture and a rich, deep sweetness. ●Sakuramomo Ichigo (442 yen) - Available from December to May. Sakuramomo Ichigo is a rare strawberry grown only in Sanagochi Village, Tokushima Prefecture. It has a juicy, firm flesh and a fragrant, rich sweetness. ●Strawberry (345 yen) - Available from November to April. Made with domestic strawberries wrapped in kudzu-based dough. A familiar taste with a stable finish. ●Melon (345 yen) - Available year-round, but may be Yubari melon from June to August. A very juicy melon wrapped in kudzu-based dough. Even though I'm not a fan of melon, I found it delicious. ●Pineapple (313 yen) - Available year-round. Pineapple with a good balance of acidity and sweetness wrapped in kudzu-based dough. The combination of pineapple and white bean paste is not bad, but personally, it didn't quite suit my taste. ●Mandarin Orange (313 yen) - Available from November to June. Mandarin orange with a prominent sweet taste wrapped in kudzu-based dough. It's a shame that the thin skin tends to linger in the mouth due to it being fresh.

The seasonal fruit is often referred to as a water dessert, but when you try the fruit mochi at this shop, you'll understand why. The taste is incredibly juicy and you can really savor the natural flavor of the fruit. It's so easy to eat and enjoy! I'll definitely come back in the summer to try a different fruit mochi. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I discovered a shop with a lot of orchids lined up near where I parked my car to attend a Dragon Quest event at the Osaka Expo Commemorative Park, so I decided to stop by. They were selling various types of fruit mochi, which are basically fruit daifuku, and popular ones like strawberry and peach were sold out. I ended up purchasing Nashi pear, Shine Muscat grape, and chestnut mochi for just over 1000 yen including tax. They gave me ice packs to keep them cool, and I carried them home in a cooler box. When I tried them at home, the Nashi pear and Shine Muscat grape were juicy, and the chestnut had an elegant sweetness, truly living up to the reputation of being a top 100 shop. It was lucky that I stumbled upon this shop. If you ever visit the Expo Park, be sure to check it out! Thank you for the delicious treats!

Today I visited this shop. This shop is selected as one of the top 100 sweets shops in the west by Tabelog in 2022. It takes about 40 minutes from Umeda Station to Banpaku Kinen Koen Station, and then a little over 20 minutes on foot. This shop is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop founded in 1922. Their popular item is the fruit mochi. When I arrived at the shop in the evening, the fruit mochi I wanted was already sold out. There is no eating space available. I purchased the following items: Manrioka (mochi filled with bean paste) for 210 yen. It is a mochi shaped like a bamboo shoot, created by the previous owner in the year of the Osaka Expo to commemorate the disappearing bamboo groves around the Expo site. Ototebashi (black sugar) dorayaki for 194 yen. It has a moist and mysteriously rich dough with a mildly sweet bean paste filling. There are three flavors of Ototebashi (black sugar, matcha, chestnut) and I chose black sugar. Only domestically produced Hateruma black sugar is used. Kotsubu natto (a new encounter of natto and rice crackers) won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award. Both Manrioka and Ototebashi were very delicious. The total cost was 788 yen. Thank you for the meal.
