They are a yakitori restaurant, but they also offer a wide range of izakaya dishes and even nigiri sushi. It's easy to over order because everything looks so good. I just popped in and overall it was delicious. There were no disappointments. The chef seemed a bit intimidating, but maybe it was just because he didn't smile. That's how chefs are supposed to be, right? I wish all izakayas would put more effort into their otoshi (appetizers). Looking at the receipt can make you feel a bit complicated.

I have visited this place a few times in the past for drinking parties with colleagues, but it had been a while since my last visit. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and even seats on the basement and second floor, making it quite spacious. It also has private rooms, making it suitable for group gatherings. Although I visited during a slightly late dinner time, the place was bustling with many customers, indicating its popularity. The menu is quite extensive, comparable to major izakaya chains. This time, I ordered grilled "hokke (780 yen)," "chicken skewers (193 yen)," "gizzard skewers (209 yen)," sushi "homemade mackerel (328 yen)," "salmon roe (493 yen)," fried "camembert mochi (482 yen)," "fried potatoes (438 yen)," and a meal option "onigiri (salmon) 240 yen." The cover charge was 385 yen. The dishes were served promptly and were all delicious. The staff were energetic and efficient, and overall, the prices were reasonable. I think it's a good place for meals or gatherings.

It was my third visit to this place. Everyone was so drunk that we didn't take any photos at all... Somehow we ended up drinking mysterious Japanese sake. We ordered tuna sushi and mountain wasabi rolls for food, to replenish our carbs. The mountain wasabi rolls were incredibly spicy, and everyone was screaming. But the spiciness was addictive, so we couldn't stop eating them. Both the alcohol and the food were delicious, so I definitely want to come back from the first round next time!

During the cold winter, I wanted to warm up at a cozy izakaya-like place, so I looked around for a restaurant in Konoe. Unfortunately, most places were already closed for the night, but luckily I found KinGyo which had more flexible hours. This was my second visit and I remembered that they had a wide variety of menu options including skewers and sashimi. I decided to order the limited-time oden assortment to warm up, along with a motsunabe. The food was delicious and perfect for warming up in the cold weather. The only downside was that our table was near the entrance, so we felt a bit of a draft. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I felt like eating grilled skewers in Kotoni, so I stopped by here this time. I used to come here quite often after work, but this is my first time recording a review. There are plenty of easy-to-enter and affordable izakayas in Kotoni. I mainly ordered grilled chicken skewers, but there are also some seafood options. I think it was a Toritaro affiliate? The menu is similar, and there is a wide variety of skewers. I will try to review it again when I casually stop by next time.

I bought mackerel-pressed sushi at Kin-gyo in Kotoni. The price was almost reaching 1000 yen, but other lunch menu items were a bit expensive. The mackerel vinegar rice was mild and not too strong, which was reassuring. The quality of the rice and mackerel was average, but eating only mackerel-pressed sushi can get boring, so I wish they had a mixed version in a bento box. Adding a tamagoyaki would make the lunch too expensive for takeout, so it might be better to buy a few items to share with others rather than getting a single serving. Overall, the lunch menu seemed a bit pricey for takeout. I am curious about the sushi chef's hand-rolled sushi, so if I have the chance to come again, I'll try getting a half portion for takeout. During lunchtime, only takeout was available, and the takeout counter was open, but dining in was not allowed. I had only been going out during the day recently, so being out at night in Kotoni made me a little nervous. Visited for Father's Day and birthday celebration for my dad. This place is registered on Instagram and is a child-friendly izakaya. They have spill-proof cups for little kids and the second floor is all private rooms for children. They offer a surprise dessert plate or cake with advance order. We ordered a variety of dishes, but my personal favorite was the nori tsukune - a skewer of ground chicken with teriyaki sauce and seaweed. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was great. They also offer all-you-can-drink options. The cake that was brought out at just the right moment was a hit with my dad. I visited this restaurant back when it was called Toritaro. It was over 10 years ago. I remember the red staircase leading up to the second floor. When I entered the restaurant, I was seated in the waiting area. It was crowded, probably because it was a Friday. But I was seated within a few minutes. I had sashimi, yakitori, and fried dishes. When I looked at the menu, I felt that it was a bit pricey. However, the taste of each dish was good. I'm not sure what their specialty is though. I didn't try the sushi this time, but it looks like it might be good. I'll try the sushi next time.

When I got hungry late at night and was looking for a place to eat in Kotoni, I found that there were few late-night restaurants open, and most of them only served ramen. It was strange that there was no late-night soba available in Kotoni. I still wanted to have some drinks, so I ended up going to a late-night izakaya for some light sushi and a toast. The food was not particularly delicious, but the staff was surprisingly friendly. However, on that day, I forgot my scarf in the restaurant, and even though it seemed like the staff didn't notice, I didn't see anyone looking for it. I paid by card and while waiting, I felt like someone was cleaning up around me. Well, it was my own fault for being careless. I'll be more careful next time I drink.
