【Completely Smoke-Free】Located along the shopping street that stretches from JR Hassamu Chuo Station to Hassamu Minami Station on the Tozai Subway Line is Machi Chinese Restaurant ^^ The restaurant is just a minute's walk from JR Hassamu Chuo Station, right after crossing the Ginnan-dori railroad crossing ^^
On October 28, 2020, at 1:30 PM, I revisited the restaurant even though I had just been there a few days ago. It's the season for good appetite ♡ and it seems like I'm trying to store up nutrients for the winter ahead → (・ω・) On this day, I went cycling in the morning as usual, covering a course of about 56 km passing through Kita-Hiroshima, Ebetsu, Minami-Horo, Naganuma, and back to Kita-Hiroshima. The strong headwind towards the end made it a 2-hour 25-minute ride. Despite the temperature being around 10 degrees Celsius and not sweating much, I still lost 2 kg in weight. But I need to eat at least 2 kg of food, right?
The first stop was a soup curry restaurant where I ordered a large serving of rice, but it didn't feel like I ate much at all. Maybe I was only at my second stomach? Next, I visited the same restaurant I went to last time and this time I decided to dine in and try their hamburger. For the third stop, I hesitated between ordering a single serving of fried rice or the set menu, but since I wanted to eat a lot, I went with the fried rice set for 500 yen. According to the owner, the ingredients and seasoning for the set menu fried rice and the single serving fried rice are different, and so on... I couldn't finish the food this time, so I promised myself to order the single serving fried rice next time.
I don't come to this area by bicycle often, maybe once or twice a year, but I occasionally pass by this railway line, and I will definitely (・ω・) visit when I do. Now, onto the one-coin fried rice set. It came with fried rice, a mini ramen, and two pieces of zangi, all for a great value. Oh, I forgot to take a picture of the mini ramen. The fried rice seemed simple to make but was well-seasoned and quite delicious. The ramen had a rich pork-based salt soup, not the Sapporo-style egg noodles, and it paired well with the fried rice. The zangi had a light marinade and was more like a fritter, but the frying was perfect. I vow to order the single serving next time and headed home (・ω・)
