It had been a while since my last visit. A friend wanted to eat soba, so we decided to go! When we arrived, there was no line outside, but the inside was full and we had to wait. We were lucky to get a table eventually. We ordered grilled miso, grated yam, rolled omelette, and soba with tempura, along with some sake. The grilled miso was fragrant and went well with the sake. The rolled omelette was delicious and the grated yam was a nice addition. We enjoyed changing the flavors with the spicy radish. The soba had a great aroma and a smooth texture. The tempura was crispy and plentiful. Everything was so delicious! We were very full by the end of the meal, and I wondered if we could eat dinner later. It was a fantastic meal! Thank you, we will definitely come back again.

13:00 Entered the restaurant 13:01 Waited in the waiting area 13:29 Seated 13:32 Placed an order 14:28 Soba and tempura arrived 14:45 Left the restaurant It felt like a family-run place. They apologized for the wait each time they served something. I think they need to reevaluate their system. The tempura soba was delicious, but paying 2500 yen and spending 2 hours there didn't feel worth it. Maybe it's better for soba enthusiasts or those with extra time. The soba tea and the final soba broth were tasty.

Had lunch at Soba Takama-san. I ordered the mori soba. They warned me that it would take some time, and it did. The soba was clean, clear, light, and had a slight chewiness to it. It went down smoothly. The soba-yu at the end was also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Visited around 1:30 pm on Sunday. There was no wait, but it seemed like they let in one group as soon as another left, so there was a constant flow of customers. The entrance to the restaurant was a bit hard to find (lol), so I checked the photos posted by others before going in. Ordered the Tempura Soba (large) and the Inaka Soba, and shared them both. The difference between the two was subtle, but I think I preferred the Inaka Soba. The tempura was all delicious, but my favorite was the corn tempura. The soba broth was also tasty.

I arrived at around 12:00 on a regular day. There were customers inside but no waiting time to be seated. I ordered the country-style soba with tempura. The tempura included shrimp, corn, edamame, smelt fish, eggplant, and more, and was very generous in portion. It was quite filling.

Soba restaurant located in Tenroku with 100 famous shops. It is a very popular place and there are long lines on weekends. This time, I was able to visit on a weekday with a reservation! Order: Tempura soba, rolled omelette for about ¥3500. Everything is delicious in a simple way. The complimentary soba tea is also delicious. You can choose between country-style soba and seiro soba. This time, I chose country-style soba, which was fragrant, flavorful, and very satisfying in terms of cost and satisfaction. The soba noodles are shorter than expected, so you savor them rather than slurp. You can get salt upon request, but both the broth and salt are delicious. Definitely a delicious soba restaurant that I will visit again.

I ordered miso-marinated tofu, rolled omelette with dashi, and tempura soba, and all of them were delicious from the tempura to the soba. The tempura had a variety of unique items, which was interesting. I had fig tempura for the first time and it was sweet and really to my liking! I couldn't drink alcohol this time, but I'm sure it would be a perfect match with it...! I definitely want to have it with alcohol next time I visit!

On Sunday afternoon at 1:00, two of us visited. We had Mori Soba, Spicy Daikon Oroshi Soba, Dashimaki Tamago, Tempura Assortment, Sweet Simmered Ayu, a medium bottle of Ebisu beer, and two glasses of sake, totaling 9450 yen. I personally think that the fresh soba here is the best in Kansai. I also like the liquor bottle made by glassblower Koji Nishikawa which we used for the sake.

Hello ♪ It's RamenWalking! Today is Soba Day, and I had "Tenzaru Soba" at Soba Takama in Tenjinbashi Rokuchome. Soba shops are often only open for lunch, so lunchtime on holidays is very precious. I visited the shop in Tenjinbashi Rokuchome that I had been eyeing for a while. I arrived a bit early at 13:50 to find out they close at 14:00. There were 4 other customers already, so I entered immediately. [Order] Tenzaru Soba - 2,500 yen [Soba] You can choose between "Country Soba" or regular Soba. I chose the Country Soba for its rustic flavor. The Soba had a coarse texture and a nice flavor. The thin Soba noodles were on the shorter side, not ideal for slurping, but still good. [Tenzaru] The Tenzaru should be eaten separately from the Soba broth. It was delicious. The tempura had a light crispy batter, with the vegetables and shrimp retaining their crunchiness. The black fu tempura had a chewy texture. Eating it with a little salt was very tasty. The elegant Japanese-style interior of the restaurant was also nice. Thank you, Soba Takama! This is a hidden gem that only those in the know can find. The must-order dish here is the "Yamaoroshi Soba", where you can choose between a generous portion or a more traditional serving of soba noodles. I opted for the traditional style, which had a firm texture and a rich aroma. The spicy daikon radish was delicious, and the yamaimo (mountain yam) was incredibly sticky and stretched like mochi, making it incredibly tasty. I recommend getting a soba choko cup to dip the soba noodles in the broth along with the yamaimo. If you love yamaimo, you must visit this place! The soba noodles were very thin and easy to eat. I will definitely be going back. Thank you for the meal!

For lunch on a Sunday, I visited Soba Takama for the first time in about a year. I arrived at 1:30 pm and luckily didn't have to wait to be seated. When I come here, I always look forward to their soba noodles, but also their tempura. They offer not only classic tempura like shrimp, but also seasonal variations that I've never tried before. So, I ordered the tempura soba with countryside-style soba noodles. Shortly after, the soba and tempura arrived. The hostess kindly explained the tempura of the day, which included shrimp, saury, bamboo shoots, and taro. Taro in tempura form was new to me, and it was my first time trying it. Lastly, the hostess mentioned "Negi Bozu," which turned out to be the flower of a green onion. I had never heard of it before, but I was excited to try it. I started with the soba noodles, which were thin and had a strong texture, with a lingering sweetness and flavor. Then, I tried the Negi Bozu tempura, which had a wonderful aroma and delicious taste without any overpowering flavors. It was a pleasant surprise. Finally, I finished my meal with a thick soba broth. It was a delightful dining experience.

Visited for the first time at around 10:45 on a Thursday holiday in May 2023. "Soba Takama" is a popular soba restaurant in Osaka. It has been selected as a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Osaka guide and also as one of the top 100 soba restaurants on Tabelog. Since it was a holiday, I confirmed if the restaurant was open that day. The staff advised that there had been long wait times the previous day, so it would be better to arrive early. Already, one group of two people was waiting when I arrived! After meeting with the staff, we waited for the opening outside the shop. More and more customers arrived one after another! Thanks to the consideration of the staff, we were allowed to enter slightly before the scheduled time. The staff constantly checked the order of arrival, so we were seated and ordered in that order, which was a very fair operation. From the menu, I ordered a 1-go sake "Junmai Ginjo Abe Kan Kame no O" (1,200 yen), a "Mixed Soba" (1,000 yen), "Sweetened Boiled Ayu" (900 yen), and "Dashimaki Tamago" (900 yen for 3 pieces) which could also be ordered in a small size (600 yen for 2 pieces). The "Abe Kan Kame no O" sake was a well-balanced and delicious sake that went well with both the "Sweetened Boiled Ayu" and "Dashimaki Tamago" as recommended in the menu. The "Sweetened Boiled Ayu" was meticulously prepared, including the belly. From head to tail, you could enjoy various textures and flavors. The "Dashimaki Tamago" was also perfectly made! When paired with soy sauce and grated radish served separately, it was simply amazing. After enjoying the appetizers, the "Mixed Soba" arrived in front of me. It was finely cut, glossy, and beautiful. There was no shortage of quantity, unlike in some famous soba restaurants where the portions can be small. Oh, this "Mixed Soba" is delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful soba and delicious appetizers. Thank you for the meal! I would definitely like to make another visit when I have the chance.

The soba noodles were firm and chewy, even though they were made with 100% buckwheat flour, and they were delicious. The tempura assortment was crispy and tasty. The fluffy and juicy tamagoyaki was served hot, and it tasted even better when eaten with grated daikon radish. The duck soup tsukemen was also delicious. It took over two hours from lining up to actually eating, so it was tough being hungry. More than half of the customers were from overseas, and the staff were able to communicate in English.

The restaurant serves delicious soba noodles at a slightly expensive price. The regular portion of soba noodles is 2500 yen, while the country-style soba noodles cost 1000 yen, totaling 3500 yen. Despite the large portion of the regular soba noodles, I decided to order the country-style soba noodles as well. The noodles were thin and had a great texture. The tempura included water eggplant, snow peas, white fish wrapped in shiso leaf, shrimp, butterbur sprouts, and sweet potato. The tempura was well-cooked and delicious. The wasabi provided was in generous portions. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

On a regular day at 11:10 (20 minutes before opening), I arrived early to avoid waiting. I ordered the Duck Soup Soba (¥1,800) and the Country Soba (¥1,000). Yesterday, I came right before opening but couldn't get a seat, so today I came early and secured the first spot in line. Around 11:15, the line started to grow gradually, but at opening time, there were still 3 empty seats at the counter out of 10. The seating consists of a counter-like setup with a large table in the middle divided by acrylic panels. Yesterday, around 4-5 people, including myself, couldn't get a seat, so it seems like there are days when you can get in without waiting even at opening time. Today was quite warm, and the direct sunlight during the wait was quite intense. The lady next to me was prepared with a parasol. Inside the restaurant, there were waiting chairs, and two people were waiting inside. When I left at 12:06, there were 7 people waiting. Now, onto the soba. I had to try both options available. I ordered the Duck Soup Soba (served cold) and the Country Soba. The dishes were served at 11:46. Interestingly, the Tempura Soba, ordered after mine, was served first. Perhaps the duck soup takes longer to prepare. The lady with the parasol who came in second was already done paying by 11:50. First, the Duck Soup Soba. The soba noodles were served cold and had a great texture. The generous portion was easily eaten in one go. The duck soup with duck meat, meatballs, and green onions had a delicious flavor and paired perfectly with the chilled, thinly cut soba noodles. This was the best soba I've ever had. Next, the Country Soba. This soba had a darker color with buckwheat husks. The flavor of the soba was more pronounced, but the texture was similar to the cold soba. Both dishes were delicious, and it's a matter of personal preference which one you prefer. Even though I was full after eating both, I felt like one serving wouldn't have been enough, so I recommend trying both if you can. Overall, these were the best soba noodles I've had in Osaka.

Located in Tenjinbashi, the well-known soba restaurant is right next to the famous "Japanese Cuisine Aoki." I arrived 15 minutes before opening and secured a spot in the first round. Many customers were enjoying their soba dishes, and if you miss the first round, you'll end up waiting for quite a while, which can be challenging. The restaurant exudes a strong aura from its exterior to its interior, but the lady sitting diagonally in front of me had an overpowering perfume scent, which was a bit too much. I came here looking forward to trying two different dishes: "Inaka Soba" for 1,000 yen and "Morisoba" for 1,000 yen. The soba served in the beautifully crafted zaru was like a piece of art with its fine strands. The soba, made from 100% buckwheat flour and finely cut, had a silky smooth texture. The Inaka Soba had a rich aroma and excellent throat feel, with plenty of scallions and wasabi, which was a nice touch. The well-rounded yet sharp dipping sauce was made with a rich soba broth, allowing me to enjoy every last drop. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

I went in the early afternoon. There were about two groups ahead of us, and we were able to get in after about 30 minutes. I had the "tenzaru soba" and was surprised by the deliciousness and variety of the tempura. When I had it, it included eggplant, butterbur sprouts, bamboo shoots, kisu fish wrapped in shiso leaf, and two shrimp. The soba noodles were thin and a bit too cold to eat comfortably. There were many foreign customers, and I was impressed by how the staff kindly explained things.

A soba restaurant famous for winning the Michelin star. It can get crowded on weekends, but you can easily get in on weekdays. The slow turnover rate and the level of customer service are concerning. There are many things that bother me, such as menu misunderstandings (misplacement) and loud placement of dishes. They may be making it carefully, but the service takes too long. It's difficult to enjoy within a company lunch time (1 hour). The pricing is also on the high side. Despite winning the Michelin star, I think customers will still come. Many people order the tempura set. It can be shared by two people. The tempura is delicious, and the soba has a smooth texture. For those who value flavor and texture, it may be a bit subtle. Perhaps choosing the countryside soba would have made a difference. It's not bad, but overall, it's not a place I would want to revisit.

I had been curious about this place for a while, so I had someone help me find it with a map. It turned out to be in a very confusing location. There were already 4-5 groups of customers outside... The turnover rate was not very high, so I had to wait quite a bit. Finally, I was shown to a seat inside the restaurant, where I had to wait a bit longer. While waiting, I was given a menu to look at, and by the time I finished deciding, I was finally seated. ----- Taste Review ----- No one had ordered the firefly squid with seaweed pickles. It has a unique taste. Rich and delicious! It's even better when eaten with grated radish! You can choose between tempura soba and Inaka soba, but the Inaka soba seemed to be sold out due to the late hour, so I had Inaka soba and my boyfriend had tempura soba. The soba noodles were incredibly thin, and I was surprised by how satisfying they were. The soba broth was thick and delicious... It was the first time I had experienced something like this, so I was amazed. ------------------- I actually got to eat the soba around 2 pm. I probably waited for about an hour. The food was delicious, and the staff were nice, but I'm not sure if I would wait nearly an hour again to eat here. The prices are a bit high for soba, so opinions might be divided on that aspect. However, at the very least, I think it's worth trying this unique soba experience at least once. Whether you continue to visit afterwards is up to your personal preference...! Thank you as always. Itadakimasu!

I finally got to visit the soba restaurant I wanted to go to the most while in Osaka (*´˘`*)♡ It's Soba Takama-san located in the area north of Tenjinbashi Rokuchome Station. When I arrived around 1 pm, there were already 6 people waiting in front of the restaurant. Truly a popular spot in Osaka! After waiting for about 30 minutes, I was able to enter the restaurant. I ordered the simple Mori Soba. The soba, served on a bamboo tray, was thinly cut and chilled in ice-cold water, giving it a refreshing texture without the typical firmness of 100% buckwheat soba. The dipping sauce had a sharp and refreshing flavor with a strong bonito taste, and dipping the soba just slightly brought out the best flavor of the noodles. Some people recommend eating it with salt or wasabi, so I tried it multiple times. While those combinations were indeed delicious and had a deep flavor, I personally believe that enjoying the soba dipped in the sauce is the best way to savor its taste. Especially at Takama-san, the soba has a flavor and taste that can definitely compete with the rich dipping sauce. The subtle sweetness in the aftertaste lingers for a long time, allowing you to savor the experience even 30 minutes after finishing the meal. The soba was so delicious that I didn't want to leave even a single piece of noodle, so I found myself desperately picking at the soba stuck in the bamboo tray mesh (laughs). After eating the soba here, I absolutely did not want to go to another restaurant for a second meal! That's how amazing the soba was (*^^*) Thank you for the meal! m(_ _)m
