This is a Margaux series restaurant. It offers detailed information about the taste of wine, suitable food pairings, background on production, and the origin of the names. I entered the restaurant with no knowledge about wine, but by the time I left, I had learned enough to explain wine to my acquaintances. Additionally, there are many recommended points, such as a piano in the restaurant. It is a great place for both dates and girls' nights out.

- You can enjoy an all-you-can-drink wine selection! There's one type each of sparkling and rosé, and three types each of red and white, plus you can also order bottles!!! It's just amazing. - The food tastes just as good as I expected. - There's live piano music, which makes it enjoyable. - Perfect for a wine girls' night out.

A bar located on the 4th floor of a mixed-use building near Shinjuku Station. They have a good selection of both beer and wine. The food is Italian, and the quality of each dish is quite high. While the prices aren't exactly cheap, the deliciousness makes it worthwhile. It's a great place to enjoy both food and music at the same time.

I went to a restaurant located in Shinjuku. I was initially surprised to find a space that felt different from the bustling Shinjuku, situated above a typical mixed-use building. The dimly lit interior was filled with many wine bottles, and there was even piano music playing. I thought it would be a nice spot for a date. The clientele was also at a pleasant level, not too rowdy. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, both the food and wine were very satisfying. However, I did feel it might be difficult to use this place casually as a daily spot.

I went to a piano bar that a friend recommended. The interior was dimly lit and had a nice atmosphere. We were seated in a semi-private room we had reserved (a bit away from the piano). The food was pretty good; the truffle omelette was delicious, but the mussels were a bit of a mystery... not sure where to start with those? Haha. They had a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, but I was a little disappointed that there were no non-alcoholic options. The concept is great, so I hope they can improve in various areas.

I visited the bistro "MARUGO OTTO," located about a 3 to 4-minute walk from Seibu Shinjuku Station, on a weekday around 7 PM in September 2024. The restaurant is on the 4th floor of a building and offers a rich variety of wines. The interior has a comfortable size and was about 50% full with customers. Since it's a restaurant where you can enjoy live piano performances, I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere without loud diners. After confirming my reservation, I sat at a table for two. We started with a "Pilsner Urquell Haradinka (Japan size)" for ¥950 to toast and quench our thirst. This quality beer has a clean finish along with a rich flavor. Next, we ordered a Spicy Ceviche for ¥850, which includes a marinated mix of tuna, octopus, and squid with added spice. The pleasant texture and subtle acidity made it delightful. The fresh onions and tomatoes provided a great accent that deepened the flavor, making it an excellent beer snack. We then tried the Lamb Mao Zedong Spare Ribs for ¥700. The ribs were generously coated with Mao Zedong spices, featuring chili and cumin, delivering a deliciously junky taste. The juiciness of the lamb combined with the spices was just as satisfying as expected. I decided to switch from beer to the orange wine "Just Orange Wine" for ¥4,500, which paired nicely. The fresh and aromatic orange wine provided satisfaction that exceeded its price. For pasta, we ordered Shirasu Penne Arrabbiata for ¥1,500. This dish packs a good amount of heat and was topped with shirasu (baby sardines). It was hearty and fulfilling, and pairing it with the orange wine worked well. The saltiness of the shirasu added a pleasant accent to the dish. Finally, we sampled the Mussels Frites from Mont Saint-Michel for ¥1,600, served with fried potatoes and a mayonnaise sauce. The mussels, enjoyed with plenty of sliced onions, were of high quality, offering a clean yet flavorful taste. The creamy sauce and fried potatoes made for a delightful combination. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the mussels were. "MARUGO OTTO" offers a lovely experience with delicious food and wine while listening to the piano. The only downside was the small size of the table, but overall, I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal in the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant.

It's just gone too far, hasn't it? In summer, I find myself wanting something refreshing, like champagne or sparkling wine. My female boss loves champagne, and we've been frequenting champagne bars and places that offer champagne free flow, which has made me shift from being a wine enthusiast to enjoying both champagne and wine now. Laughs. I quickly became a regular at places where both the food and drinks are consistently delicious. The counter seats tend to have availability, so if there's someone sitting there for a long time, it's probably me! Laughs. The turnover rate is relatively quick too. They also have private rooms and all-you-can-drink plans, making it a great spot for gatherings or birthday surprises, so I highly recommend it! The live piano performances are amazing! I love it so much that I’m writing a glowing review, but at the same time, I worry about it becoming so popular that it becomes hard to get a reservation. It's such a contradictory feeling, right?

I usually end up drinking too much, haha! Instead of just having one glass, I leave it to the owner who remembers my preferences and let him choose the wine for me. I think I’m taking it slow, but before I know it, I’ve finished a whole bottle. This is my favorite place that takes me to that kind of world! The food is delicious, and all the cocktails are well-crafted. The wide variety of tequilas is fantastic too! The live piano performances are the best! I also recommend it for solo female visitors since you can enjoy spending time at the counter, but I secretly hope it doesn’t get too crowded, which is a bit of a contradiction, haha!

The Italian tacos and wine selection were abundant. I didn't know the specific brands, but since it was hot outside, we toasted with a sparkling rosé. We enjoyed omelets and tacos, and the shrimp ajillo paired wonderfully with red wine. I ended up drinking a bit too much from the bottle.

I went to the restaurant with a friend. I only intended to have one drink, but that was a total lie! The combination of truffle toast and roasted summer vegetables was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it! And then there’s the tequila—Azuul Reposado. It tastes nothing like the tequila you drink at clubs; it's so delicious! I felt like I was in a luxurious setting, enjoying a blissful moment. I love it so much that I keep coming back!

It's a piano bar, so the atmosphere is really nice. It's a great place for both dates and girls' nights out. The prices aren't too high either. The food was delicious, especially the gnocchi, which I love! The signature dish, Mao Zedong spare ribs, was also incredibly tasty! It's not too spicy, and the meat was tender. By the way, the sparkling wine was delightful too! I definitely want to visit again!

Dinner at #modernpubmouton. On the way back from the 25th anniversary live show at Shinjuku LOFT. I reserved a table for two. The big window is nice. The table is small, though. There's live piano music right next to us, very chic. #LambProsciutto isn't too salty, so it's better to enjoy it in larger bites to really taste the lamb. This might be my first experience with it. #OctopusAndCeleryMarinated is lighter on lime and stronger on tomato. #SalsicciaAndAsparagusSauvagePasta has thin, soft asparagus stalks that look like foxtail. The taste is quite good. #LambChop is cut thick and served with a tangy mustard sauce. The grilled vegetables include eggplant, young corn, bell pepper, radish, zucchini, and sweet potato. I personally prefer a bit more fat on the meat. #DryGingerAle has a strong ginger flavor but also some sweetness, which is nice. A non-alcoholic beer for my friend. The total came to around 8000 to 9000 yen. There was a good selection of wines. #TokyoGourmet #ShinjukuGourmet #MoutonShinjuku #Lamb #LambDishes #LambChops

It was very calm and comfortable, and the staff's service was attentive. Having a meal while listening to a live piano performance added a touch of luxury to the experience. I was quite full this time, so I mainly focused on drinks, but I look forward to enjoying the food next time.

This place is really amazing! It's impressive to find such a stylish and welcoming restaurant in this area of Shinjuku. Although the building and elevator have a somewhat cluttered vibe, the interior is very fashionable. The food and drinks are delicious, and the staff quickly attended to us.

On this day, I ended up having an even better meal than my first stop! The lamb spare ribs were truly delicious and undeniably the highlight of the meal! Next time I go to MOUTON, I will definitely order the prosciutto and lamb again. Of course, it was delicious. There were also wonderful dishes made with plenty of cheese and baby sardines mixed into cabbage, as well as an omelet generously flavored with truffles—all of which were excellent. The cooking of the omelet was fantastic; it was beautifully and evenly cooked on the outside, fluffy, and the inside was just the right amount of creamy, very elegant. I ordered three glasses of red wine, and each one was delicious. The wine menu clearly described the origins, varieties, and characteristics, making it easy to place an order. I had a wonderful time! It seems that during early hours, you can enjoy your meal while listening to live piano music. Actually, on this day, I initially tried to make a reservation at MOUTON for my first stop but found it fully booked. Although I had to give up on going there first, I decided to drop by as my second stop!

I was looking for a nice place to enjoy wine on a weekday evening and surprisingly realized there was a great restaurant nearby. I made a reservation for a semi-private room, and it was a wonderful place with a round table where we could enjoy live piano performances. I had the recommended truffle omelette and my favorite, lamb chops ♡ And of course, I couldn't resist ordering the Caprese salad—it's a must-have whenever I see it on the menu. Everything was delicious! I got so caught up in conversations that I only took two pictures, but it's definitely a place I want to revisit. Thank you for the lovely meal! (*´艸`)

I often see this restaurant in Instagram ads, so I decided to check it out. I didn't realize there was such a nice place in Kabukicho, not Shinjuku Sanchome. I’m glad I went. Although I forgot the time schedule, there’s a piano with live performances. From the large windows, you can see the chaotic scenery of Shinjuku, but here you can enjoy it elegantly with a wine glass in hand. This place is worth remembering for adults.

I used this restaurant for a dinner with a friend who came from afar. Perhaps because I explained our situation at the time of reservation, we were provided with a cozy seat. Thank you very much. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the staff was attentive, pouring the wine at just the right moments. It was a bit chilly, so when I requested to adjust the temperature, they regularly checked in on us and kindly asked if everything was okay, which made me feel reassured. The food was delicious, and my friend seemed very satisfied with the atmosphere as well. Thank you! I would love to visit again.

The service in the dining area was terrible. The staff was overly attentive to a regular customer at the counter, serving them wine, while I was just given a bottle placed on the table without any tasting, even though it was a vintage from 7-8 years ago. They cleared the plates but didn’t pour any wine. The worst part was as I was leaving, the male staff member near the exit completely ignored me and didn't even look in my direction. The food was okay, but the poor service really stood out at this restaurant.

I had a wonderful experience in a sophisticated atmosphere where piano music played, and a knowledgeable sommelier provided wines at an affordable price. It's great for wine beginners too! For those who don’t drink wine, there are plenty of cocktails to enjoy, so everyone can feel at ease. This place is excellent for dates, and they also have private rooms for group use. The fact that there’s no music charge is a plus, but the quality of the food is average. I think if you want to enjoy the music more, Vagabond would be a better choice. It felt like there were not many customers who truly appreciate music.

At WINE&BEER MOUTON, I enjoyed a delicious meal and drinks while listening to live piano music. I tried various types of whiskey, including Chivas Regal 18 (with soda), Yoichi 10 (straight then on the rocks), Masons 8 (with soda), and smoked whiskey (with soda). The selection of drinks was abundant, and it was a great experience!
