I was feeling hungry at dinner time and looking for a Hokkaido-style menu. I found a curry bread shop called Tenma in the Kanto region, which also serves soup curry. I decided to try the bone-in chicken soup curry, which was basic but delicious. The meat was tender and fell apart easily, and the soup-like curry was very tasty. I chose medium spiciness, which was just right - not too spicy but flavorful. Thank you for the meal!

I had seafood soup curry. I chose regular rice and spicy level was hot. The soup curry was served piping hot. It was dangerous for someone with a sensitive tongue, but I managed to eat it carefully. The ingredients included shrimp, mussels, clams, potatoes, eggplant, okra, broccoli, bell peppers, asparagus (I think). It was nice that it was served hot, but the okra, broccoli, and asparagus were overcooked and too soft. The curry itself had a good amount of spices and was delicious with the level of spiciness I liked.

Located in the restaurant area of Sapporo Daimaru, it is very convenient as it is directly connected to the station. The chicken soup curry contains large pieces of chicken with bones. The meat was so tender that it fell apart easily and was delicious. In addition to soup curry, they also offer regular curry.

After a few years, I went to Stella Dining in JR Tower for lunch. It's close to my office, but I hadn't been there for a while. I was originally planning to have pasta, but I got drawn to the curry and changed my mind. I remember going to a shop in Isezakicho, Yokohama before, which I later found out is a chain restaurant. They have a half & half curry option with 1.5 times the curry sauce. The curry had a keema and chicken with herbal flavors. The rice was served in a unique way, with keema on one side and herbal curry on the other, with a half-boiled egg on top of the keema. The keema was slightly sweet, while the herbal curry was not too strong in flavor. The chicken in the herbal curry was bone-in but fell apart easily. I managed to finish the curry sauce, although I was surprised by the 1.5 times portion. Overall, it was a quick and satisfying meal, and I made it back to the office without going over lunchtime. It was a good timing as the line started forming when I left. It was a nice lunch experience.

After finishing my stay in Sapporo, I had 2 hours until my train departure, so I went to Sapporo Station building with my friend who was seeing me off. We talked about how the chain restaurant soup curry we had in Kyoto was terrible, so we decided to look for a better one. We found a restaurant that was almost full even though it was past lunchtime. The standard soup curry we ordered had a variety of colorful vegetables, but it was just average as a curry. It didn't have anything special like the unique aroma, flavor, or ingredient combinations that you would expect from a soup curry. It felt more like a vegetable curry with soup. The vegetables were tasty, but that was about it. I remember trying Seven-Eleven's soup curry before, and it had more depth in flavors. I wished for a more authentic and distinctive soup curry experience.

I tried to eat at a soup curry specialty store at New Chitose Airport during a business trip, but there were too many people waiting. So, I decided to search on Tabelog and visited a curry specialty store in Sapporo. In my personal opinion, it's a curry store that also offers soup curry. If you want to eat soup curry, unfortunately, I won't be revisiting this place.

Around 7 pm at Sapporo Station, I was feeling hungry and decided to explore the 6th floor restaurant area. It was a Sunday evening, so every place was packed. Luckily, I found one curry restaurant with an available seat and immediately sat down. When in Hokkaido, you think of soup curry, right? So, I ordered the medium-spicy chicken soup curry for 1300 yen. It arrived in about 10 minutes - a hearty bowl with lots of ingredients, simmering hot soup, and slightly firm rice. The chicken was tender and fell apart easily with a spoon. About halfway through, I couldn't stop sweating - it was truly medium-spicy. I managed to finish it without drinking water, and the water afterward tasted the best.笑

On the second day of my Hokkaido trip, around lunchtime, we decided to try some Hokkaido gourmet food - soup curry. We went to this restaurant on the 6th floor of Sapporo Station Stellar Place. We arrived right at the opening time of 11 am and were the first in line. I ordered the Braised Pork and Plenty of Vegetables Soup Curry (¥1300). After a 5-minute wait, our dishes arrived. The soup curry came in two plates - one with the curry and one with rice. It looked visually appealing with lots of vegetables, braised pork, and a boiled egg. The soup curry was piping hot as it was served boiling. Since it was my first time trying soup curry, I asked the staff for eating instructions. They said there was no set way to eat it, but most people eat the soup curry first and then the rice. I followed their advice. The soup curry was different from the curry I usually eat - it was thinner and had a slightly tangy flavor with well-spiced vegetables and juicy braised pork. It was very delicious. I live in Nagoya, where there are also soup curry restaurants, so I would like to try them out too. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant for an early dinner, as usual, after having a late lunch. I actually came to the restaurant district again because I was craving katsudon, but the tonkatsu specialty restaurant didn't have it on their menu. I thought about ordering something else at the tonkatsu restaurant, but luckily there was this restaurant next door that caught my eye. I had been curious about this place for a while, so I decided to visit for the first time. They had both roux curry and soup curry on the menu, and I was interested in both, but this time I chose the seafood and vegetable soup curry. I placed my order and it was served in about 10 minutes. It was served in a clay pot, bubbling hot. I waited for it to cool down a bit before tasting it. The soup had a slight thickness to it and the umami flavor from the seafood was delicious. I had tried seafood soup curry at another restaurant recently, and the soup didn't quite match well with the seafood, but here, the ingredients and the soup complemented each other perfectly. The ingredients included shrimp, clams, as well as vegetables like eggplant, bell peppers, okra, and green beans. I felt like the soup was a bit lacking in quantity, but they had a menu option for extra soup, so I thought I might try that next time. I also realized that seafood soup curry is a good choice. Maybe I'll try their roux curry next time. Thank you for the meal.

I had soup curry for the first time. It was exciting and authentic (っ ॑꒳ ॑c) I ordered bone-in chicken and plenty of vegetable soup curry. My mother ordered pork belly and plenty of vegetable soup curry. It was quite spicy for me, who likes spicy food! But behind the spiciness, there was a lot of umami. Since it's a soup, I think once you get used to the spiciness, you can eat it up easily! The restaurant is directly connected to the station, so be sure to visit when you come to Hokkaido!

Beef curry & keema for 1,200 yen. Mini salad for 150 yen. Rice can be served in a large portion for free. The curry is described to be medium spicy, similar to a medium spiciness of store-bought curry. The soup curry options were limited, so this time I chose the roux curry, but seeing the bubbling of the soup curry at the next table, I might try the soup curry next time.

As it was a holiday in front of Sapporo Station, we had to wait a bit to eat. I ordered the soup chicken curry, which was a safe and delicious choice. The lassi I had with it was also very tasty. Considering the cost, I think it's a satisfying restaurant.

I arrived at Sapporo Station at 9:00 pm for a business trip, so I headed to the reliable station building food court. It's only my second time having soup curry, and I can't remember my impressions from the last time, but this time, the soup curry from Tenma was delicious, so I won't forget it. I had the "Seafood and Plenty of Vegetables Soup Curry" with medium spiciness and regular rice for ¥1,300. Tenma used to be next to my company in Minami-Aoyama, and I often got curry bread to go from this curry shop. They also had regular curry rice, but this time I didn't hesitate to order the soup curry. I enjoyed chewing on the chunks of vegetables, shrimp, and clams, scooping a spoonful of rice, dipping it into the soup curry, and eating it. That's probably the basic way to enjoy it.

I actually wanted to go to a different shop on the same floor, but there was a long line... it's lunchtime so it can't be helped. Let's give up on the salaryman. So I went to Tenma on the same floor. I had been to the Aurora Town store famous for curry bread before, but this was my first time at the Stella Place store. I was in the mood for curry rice, so I ordered the Chinese medicinal herb chicken curry for 900 yen. Rice refill is free, so I got a large serving. It's 250g for a large serving. I added extra spiciness (5 times spicier) for 150 yen and my curry was served promptly after ordering. I wonder if soup curry takes a bit longer? The curry sauce had a mild Chinese medicinal herb flavor, perhaps because of the generous amount of onions in it. There were about 4 pieces of bone-in chicken chunks. The spiciness, with the sweetness of the onions, made me think it could have been a bit spicier. By the time I finished eating, the spiciness kicked in. It must be due to the Chinese medicinal herbs. The tray for the coffee after the meal was made of wood and looked cute. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a certain restaurant on the 6th floor of Sapporo Station Stella Place for lunch, but there was a huge line before the opening at 11 o'clock. I got a ticket number 58. When the store opened, 25 groups entered and it was full. They said the next wait would be over an hour, so I gave up easily. While wandering around the same floor, I noticed a soup curry restaurant. I realized I hadn't eaten soup curry in a long time. I hadn't eaten anything since morning, so I quickly entered the restaurant and looked at the menu. I verbally ordered the Braised Pork and Plenty of Vegetables Soup Curry for 1,300 yen from a beautiful local woman in her 30s. They said it was free to upsize, but I was planning to eat sushi at New Chitose Airport later, so I passed. There were only two customers in front of me in the store, but soon it was full. The lady in her 50s next to me ordered the large size with 6 times the spiciness, which surprised me. Soon, the sizzling hot soup curry in the iron pot was served. The soup curry in the pot looked like magma, almost burning. Since I have a sensitive tongue, I decided to let it cool down before eating. The braised pork was tender and the spicy curry soup was just right for me. The potatoes were delicious, but I wondered what kind of variety they were. When I lined up the ingredients on top of the rice, there were not only potatoes but also boiled eggs, broccoli, eggplant, carrots, lotus root, asparagus, and more. I imagined that the onions must have melted into the soup. It was a spontaneous choice to enter the restaurant, but it turned out to be a big hit. It was very delicious, thank you for the meal.

It was a soup curry restaurant, but they also had regular curries like keema curry. I found the soup curry with cabbage rolls interesting, so I chose that. You could choose the level of spiciness, and I went with the least spicy "normal," but it was still quite spicy. When the meal was served, the soup around the edges of the bowl was bubbling. It had plenty of vegetables and meat, making it a very satisfying dish.

This time, it was my first business trip to Hokkaido in a while. My schedule was quite busy, but I managed to stop by here during my layover because I really wanted to have soup curry for lunch. I ordered the Chicken and Vegetable Soup Curry for 1280 yen, with normal rice and medium spiciness. I always thought that soup curry was quite spicy, but the medium spiciness here was actually just right. If you like it spicy, I recommend going for the spicy or extra spicy options. The whole chicken leg in the curry is a signature of Sapporo-style soup curry. It was delicious and satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

I might be biased, but I visited Tenma, famous for its curry bread. The restaurant has 4 box seats for 4 people each, and 16 table seats. I prefer curry sauce, so I ordered the beef curry and keema curry. The flavor was strong, but overall the portion was small. It was quite different from the photos on the menu. Unfortunately. By the way, the rice comes in a large portion. My companion had soup curry, but the vegetables seemed to be cut small overall.
