I found another delicious restaurant in Chiyobashi. It's located on a side street, away from the shopping arcade, so I think many people might not know about it unless they look for it. The specialty, straw-roasted dishes, are all delicious. I especially loved the salmon and the red snapper. Every other dish was also well-made and tasty.

Actually, I didn't find the wagyu (barbecued over straw) very fragrant when I had it in Kochi, but the one here had an amazing aroma, and I thought, "So this is what wagyu is supposed to be like!" The sake selection seemed to focus on delicious options from the western region, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I brought some elderly people with me, and the thick cuts of meat in the wagyu were a bit difficult to eat, so I thought it would be nice to have "thin slices of pork belly wagyu" instead, even though that was a selfish wish of mine. However, for those with strong teeth, it would be absolutely perfect!

I used this place for our monthly drinking party! They reserved the second-floor table seating for us with an all-you-can-drink option for 5000 yen. I think people who love seafood will be very satisfied! Everyone ate and drank a lot. There was a staff member on the second floor, so getting refills for drinks was smooth and made us happy. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

This is my second visit to the restaurant. During my first visit, I shared my requests, and I was deeply moved by how quickly they responded to them. While I understand that fulfilling every request might not always be possible, the fact that they took my feedback to heart was already touching. Of course, the delicious food is a given for my repeat visit, but it was the thoughtfulness of the staff that made me want to come back again. This time, I ordered the grilled straw-seared seafood and a sashimi platter again. The deep-fried daikon in the oden was also delicious. I forgot to take pictures, but I did have photos of the grilled straw-seared seafood and sashimi platter, along with the salt-grilled salmon collar and rolled omelet.

It seemed like a new restaurant, and I was curious about the lanterns hanging outside, so I decided to stop by✨✨ I was intrigued by what they were smoking with straw, so I tried their recommended menu items: straw-grilled dishes and a three-piece sashimi platter featuring horse mackerel, salmon, and skipping fish; straw-grilled tuna, amberjack, and striped jack sashimi; straw-grilled beef tongue; shrimp and maitake mushroom fritters; simmered daikon radish; and fried chicken Caesar salad. Everything was delicious and generously portioned!

In the Ajina shopping street, there is a restaurant specializing in straw-grilled dishes. The interior is spacious, with a counter and a tatami seating area, and the second floor can be used for banquets. The restaurant allows smoking and offers fish with a robust aroma from the grilling process. The sashimi selection is diverse, and the assorted platter is a great value. The dashi rolled omelet has a comforting, gentle flavor, while the 'uzaku' features larger cucumber slices (similar to pickles), which was a bit different from what I had imagined. It seems that many customers make reservations, and the place quickly fills up, so it's advisable to book in advance if you’re going with a group.

Located in Senbayashi, Osaka, "Umami Sakana to Warayaki Matafuku Senbayashi" is an izakaya where you can enjoy delicious fish and warayaki (straw-grilled) dishes. They source fresh seafood from Kizumarket, which can be enjoyed as grilled dishes or sashimi. The selection of local sake is extensive, and the cost performance is excellent! Its charm lies in its accessibility, making it easy to drop by. The establishment features a dug-out kotatsu table for groups, while the counter seating allows solo diners to enjoy their meals.
One of the highlights of Matafuku Senbayashi is the fresh fish sourced from Kizumarket, which varies daily, ensuring returning customers have something new to look forward to. Popular warayaki dishes include the "Assorted Warayaki of Four Fresh Fish," "Katsuobushi Warayaki," and "Chicken Neck Meat Warayaki." According to the recommendation rankings, the "Assorted Warayaki and Sashimi of Six Types" takes the top spot!
The restaurant’s sake offerings include well-known brands like Hakusen from Hiroshima and Koku-ryu from Fukui, which are nice additions to the menu. The interior features dug-out kotatsu seating on the first floor, and the second floor has table seating, accommodating up to 30 guests for private parties. The counter seats 12 people, making it a comfortable place for individuals too.
On the day I visited, the "Assorted Warayaki and Sashimi of Six Types" featured warayaki of bonito and salmon, along with sashimi of bluefin tuna, amberjack, and striped jack. It's a great deal at 1,780 yen to enjoy high-quality fish sashimi! The "Assorted Warayaki and Sashimi of Six Types" showcases the savory aroma of the straw-grilled fish combined with the umami of the fresh sashimi. The soy sauce accompaniment was light, complementing various fish well. The warayaki can be enhanced with lemon or salt, depending on your preference.
The texture of the fish was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with flavors concentrated into a delightful experience! Although the sake cup was from Ozeki, I opted for the Hakusen. It was a rich but easy-to-drink sake that paired well with the warayaki and sashimi.
"Umami Sakana to Warayaki Matafuku Senbayashi" is a perfect izakaya for those looking to enjoy fresh seafood through warayaki or sashimi. With great cost performance, I highly recommend visiting if you're in Senbayashi. Thank you for reading until the end!

I visited the restaurant for the first time, and I found the interior to be clean and lively, which was great. Since we were a group of 15, we were able to reserve the second floor. However, the second floor has regular tables and is not a sunken kotatsu style, so it might be uncomfortable for those with bad legs or backs. I really enjoyed the grilled fish and meat, as the flavor of the straw used for grilling was pleasant. It would have been even better if the drink menu had a wider selection, but overall, I would consider coming back. Thank you for the meal!

You can enjoy authentic straw-grilled dishes and sashimi here. The fish is carefully selected by knowledgeable staff at Kizu Market. Additionally, the specialty oden daikon and other unique menu items are delicious and offer a taste you can't find elsewhere. Although the restaurant just opened in March 2024, it has already gained a reputation for being tasty, and I believe it will become a popular spot. Even on a weekday, there were quite a few customers, so it might already be considered a popular restaurant.

I visited on the third day after opening. The grilled assortment was very delicious, and it's conveniently close to the station. The staff's service was also great, and it feels like this place will be popular. Since it was only the third day, they seemed busy, so I plan to visit again once things settle down!

This is my first visit. I had a course that cost 4500 yen✨, and I was satisfied with the all-you-can-drink option. The staff asked us not to leave bicycles in front of the restaurant. It seems there have been various complaints from the surrounding area?

I had beer and lemon sour, and the total bill was ¥3,000, which was quite reasonable.
