After leaving the festival, I wanted to have a drink and visited this place for the first time. The interior is filled with Showa era signs, creating a great atmosphere. It seems like there are more locals than tourists here. Overall, it was really good. The tuna sashimi was thick and satisfying, and the whale sashimi was plentiful and delicious. The grilled dishes were juicy with large portions and cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious. They had a wide variety of local sake and sour drinks. I will definitely come back again!

After several years, I visited the restaurant with the intention of having a drink while chatting with the beautiful landlady. However, when I entered, I saw a new face in the kitchen. The previous landlady had retired and seemed to be happily married now. The restaurant is now being run by a regular customer of this place. Since my bus was about to leave, I just had a light drink. I ordered an electric blanket and some appetizers (oden), as well as cold tofu, but they forgot the cold tofu. Will I visit again? Hmm...

I was full from eating at another place, so we decided to stop by this second restaurant. We were a large group, so we sat at both the table and counter seats. There were other customers already there, quietly enjoying their drinks, when a loud group came in and disrupted the peaceful atmosphere. The interior was decorated with posters and knick-knacks that gave off a Showa-era vibe. It was my first time here, but the person who brought me was a regular. They offered us some snacks, saying "You're not hungry, right? Is this okay?" I heard that the rice sushi here has various types of fish, like hatahata. Hatahata is a common fish in Kushiro, but for me, it was a rare experience. It was surprisingly easy to eat, not too sour. I devoured it. The owner and the hostess had a good sense of distance, making it a comfortable place to be.

A restaurant that looks like it belongs on Asakusa Hoppy Street with a red lantern. The background music is, of course, nostalgic tunes. There was a friendly man and a beautiful woman welcoming customers. It was around 6:30 pm, maybe the quiet time? I had a rough day, feeling overwhelmed, and a bit down, which happens once or twice a year on business trips. This day was one of those days. There were no other customers, but feeling low, I wanted to quickly finish my meal in a dimly lit and quiet atmosphere, so I chose a table instead of sitting at the counter. The complimentary sashimi was delicious! The grated daikon with giant dried young sardines was also tasty! The grated daikon was finely done. I ordered the salted mackerel for 550 yen - delicious! It was tender and the flesh easily came off. The saltiness was just right, and the skin was tasty too. The mackerel was so good! I also tried the chicken gizzards for 150 yen, which were also delicious! They were tender with a slight chewy texture. They were not too small, so I was satisfied. Perhaps they noticed I was feeling down because the chef gave me a free octopus skewer. Thank you! It had a sweet taste, was tender with a good bite, and the texture of the suckers was enjoyable. After eating these delicious dishes, I felt better. The total bill was around 1850 yen. Maybe it included the cover charge? Some regular customers started to come in. The chef has been dedicated to volleyball since junior high, and he continues to excel even as an adult. He also enjoys boating, which is cool. Since there is no team in Kushiro, they always end up as runners-up in competitions. They also seem to perform well at the port festival. I sat under the red lantern light, which made the photo turn red, but the freshness and taste of the food were excellent. As an adult, I feel a sense of responsibility for no reason. It didn't seem too busy, but the remnants of the previous customers were left on the counter, and they sat at the next table without clearing the dishes... Shouldn't they clear them? Received a wet towel and ordered a drink, "Fukushi @ 500." According to other people's reviews, the beautiful mama is apparently over 50... Really? :(；ﾞﾟ'ωﾟ'): Ahem... Excuse me. Ordered "Eggplant Stir-Fry, Salmon Roe (trout roe?) Tamagoyaki." Eggplant... Stir-fried? The seasoning is decent. Salmon roe... Too salty. Tamagoyaki... Just average. Ordered "Sohachi Karei @ 550." It was served in about 10 minutes... Too high in salt, too mature, this is impossible. The bill was about 1,300 yen. The master asked, "Were you drinking nearby?" while grilling the fish, but the conversation ended there... When serving the Karei, he retreated to the back of the kitchen with the beautiful mama and chatted. Kushiro drinking district nearby. A shop from the Showa era in the Reiwa period! Visited before a drinking party. Because MyRebi-san recommended it. Visited by a person from Sapporo before the people of Kushiro wrote about it. There is no all-you-can-drink option. I had beer, which was very delicious and refreshing. I planned to have just one drink, but ended up ordering two. The whale ginger stir-fry is in season now. The meat is thick and not too strong in flavor, so it's enjoyable. The menchi katsu is just delicious in a normal way! The waitresses are incredibly beautiful as MyRebi-san mentioned. There were no other customers that day, so I had one drink and left as the drinking party had a set time. I would like to try other items on the menu next time.

This week, Mrs. Yome, who came to Kushiro alone, is hardly at home at all. She has been working late every day, even on Saturdays and Sundays. She decided to come to Kushiro for some fun. She played golf and went to the barber shop, so when she arrived, it was just before 7 pm. She visited five places, but the first place she went to was a flashy bar called "Kushiro Yuhi Sakaba" that she had been curious about. It was empty on a Saturday at 7 pm, with only a father and daughter pair. The daughter was very beautiful. The counter had 8 or 9 seats and there was one table for 4 people. The music was nostalgic. The beer she ordered was cold and classic. The appetizers were delicious, including rice sushi, potato salad, and pork skewers. The skewers were normal but tasty. She ended up having a good time at the bar, chatting with a couple who were impressed by her youthful appearance. Overall, she found it to be a good place and recommends it to the locals of Kushiro.

Inside the restaurant, the red lanterns of Hoppy give a predominantly red feeling when taken with a phone, but that must be the effect of the sunset. The chairs are like school chairs with cushions on top, which is helpful. The owner is laid-back, but it seems that regular customers and acquaintances gather there, probably because it's late. The food menu has some interesting options... surprisingly on the pricier side, I wish they were more Showa era prices. The "Sunset Highball" in Kushiro is made to resemble the colors of the sunset with grenadine syrup, making it a local highball. It is sweeter than a regular highball. Starting with octopus sashimi, it has a refreshing coolness. There are also slices of shabu-shabu meat for Genghis Khan and lamb and onions cooked on a skillet, with a tangy sauce that doesn't disappoint, giving it a soulful food vibe. It has a hint of spiciness. It was a moment where I felt like I wanted to have a drink while talking with the owner during a time when there were no regular customers. It was a slightly unique experience.

I entered the store a little after 4 pm on Saturday. One person had already started drinking, but there were still seats available and I could sit down comfortably. The retro-chic interior creates a relaxing atmosphere. The landlady is beautiful and has a graceful presence that is quite charming (laughs). By the time it was past 5 pm, more and more customers started coming in. I thought there would be a lot of tourists, but it turns out most of the customers are locals. Whether it's the landlady's personality or not, the customers are well-behaved. They have a rare "Hoppy" in Kushiro, and they also have authentic drinks like Electric Blanc and coffee shochu, so there is quite a variety of drinks available. The food to go with the drinks is also decent, so you won't get bored. It's a bit away from the downtown area, but it's a cozy place to drink and has become one of my favorite spots.
