Plus, you can get large rice servings for free! Instead of water, they serve barley tea. The value is incredible, making it a favorite among salarymen! The service is fantastic! The soup contains seaweed, eggs, and carrots, and the two types of fried items are a nice touch! The Mapo Tofu has a pleasant spicy kick, and the flavors are well-balanced. The portion sizes are more generous than typical in continental Chinese cuisine but not excessively large. There are three daily specials, along with regular menu items. Some regular menu items are offered at the same price as the daily specials. The daily specials include: A) a main dish with soup, one side dish, and white rice; B) a main dish with a mini mapo tofu, soup, and white rice; C) a daily noodle special with mini fried rice. On this particular day, the daily special A featured stir-fried pork with wood ear mushrooms and eggs, accompanied by two fried dumplings as the side dish. For some reason, the soup is always lukewarm and quite salty here! Occasionally, the order in which dishes are served gets a bit mixed up, but considering the restaurant's busyness, it's understandable. We visited with three people and found the cost performance to be excellent. The food was authentic Chinese cuisine and very delicious, which made us very satisfied. The speed of service was also commendable. Since there were only a few of us, we filled up quickly, so going with a larger group might allow for trying more dishes. We plan to use this place again for our company’s year-end party.

Near Minami-Nakata Station and Nishi-Nakajima-Minami, I had lunch here today. The restaurant has only table seating, and the main menu features Chinese cuisine. I ordered the stir-fried green peppers and beef set meal. The rice is free for a large serving, but I opted for the regular size. Now, onto the tasting! The stir-fried green peppers and beef here has a generous amount of bamboo shoots. It’s well-seasoned to pair nicely with the rice, yet not overly oily, making it easy to eat. The portion is quite substantial, so it really filled me up. Thank you for the meal! Additionally, for an extra 150 yen, you can swap regular rice for fried rice. Overall, the menu is quite affordable, so getting a set meal with fried rice for just under 1000 yen is a great value.

This is a new restaurant that opened in March 2024, just a few minutes' walk from Nishinakajima-Minamigata Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and Minami Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. I visited for lunch and had the daily lunch set B: fried chicken with a soy sauce dip and a mini mapo tofu set for 750 yen (including tax). It took about 7 minutes for the food to arrive. The first floor was full, so I was seated on the second floor. The restaurant is spacious with the additional seating on the second floor. The pricing is quite reasonable. While the fried chicken wasn't served piping hot, which was a bit disappointing, and the pickles had a somewhat meager presentation, the portion was generous and the seasoning was good, making it enjoyable overall. The wonton and half fried rice set was 650 yen, but for the grand opening, each set was discounted by 100 yen. The wontons had about five pieces and tasted quite good. The soup was a bit on the salty side. The fried rice was really tasty, which earned it high points. Last Friday, I made a reservation at 4:30 PM to visit the restaurant with my junior colleague for the first time. Initially, I had booked the all-you-can-drink and eat option at Kōmanrō for 3,300 yen, but we ended up at Fukukagen, which just opened on the east side of Nishinakajima Minamikata Station. When we arrived, we were given an explanation of the restaurant's system, and after ordering drinks (draft beer), we received five dishes (chicken salad, dumplings, mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork, and shrimp chili) as our priority items. We were informed that we could choose the remaining dishes ourselves, and we finished with dessert. We had a two-hour time limit, during which we ordered more dishes: stir-fried beef with bell peppers, twice-cooked pork, Moo Shu pork, stir-fried liver with garlic chives, fried chicken, lettuce fried rice, and almond jelly for dessert. The flavors were tailored to suit Japanese tastes, making the food very easy to enjoy and delicious. The staff, who were all Chinese women, provided prompt service. Considering we ate and drank this much for just 3,000 yen, it was a fantastic deal! The location is right in front of 7-Eleven at 3-13-1 Nishinakajima. Making a reservation is definitely the way to go, and it's popular with young groups. The business hours are from 5 PM to 11 PM. I highly recommend giving it a try!
