Delicious hand-rolled onigiri with attention to detail♪ I also liked the atmosphere, the dishes, and the concept...! It had been about 2 months since my last visit. After bathing at Kitahiroshima Classe Hotel, I visited the restaurant. Last time, I had 2 onigiri, but this time I opted for the lunch plate. The location of the restaurant can be found in my previous review. We arrived with 3 people right at the opening time of 11:30. Since I enjoyed the onigiri last time, I was determined to try the lunch plate this time! So, without hesitation, I ordered the Plate Lunch A. I ordered the onigiri with raw cod roe (+50 yen) and seaweed tsukudani. It cost 850 yen (tax included) and was the first order of the day, but we had to wait for 27 minutes. I wonder if something went wrong or if there were various reasons for the delay. Last time, when I only had onigiri, the wait was about 10 minutes, so this time felt a bit longer. The atmosphere is nice, and they have rental boxes, so it's a good place to spend time, but if you're in a hurry, the lunch plate might be a bit challenging! It might have been just this time, though. The Plate Lunch A includes 2 onigiri (up to 180 yen each) with raw cod roe and salmon (+50 yen extra). You can choose 2 main dishes from soy sauce koji fried chicken or simmered Pacific saury (I chose the latter). It also comes with potato and bell pepper curry stir-fry, leek and bean sprout salad, and miso soup with cabbage, onion, and fried tofu. The contents change daily, which is nice. When the lunch was brought out, I was delighted. This was definitely going to be delicious! First, I tried the miso soup. It's been a while since I had miso soup with cabbage. It had a sweet taste from the cabbage, and it was full of ingredients. The flavor was really good and seemed good for the body. It might not be filling enough for men, but it was to my liking. The simmered Pacific saury (2 pieces) was excellent. There were 2 pieces, so I exchanged one with my companion's fried chicken. The accent of the plum flavor was really good. The Pacific saury was simmered well, so the bones were not an issue. Oh... this is definitely a great side dish. I also traded with my companion for the fried chicken, and it also had a great seasoning. The saltiness was not overpowering, which was nice. It seems you can order it separately for an additional 100 yen, so it might be good to have it with a single onigiri. The potato and bell pepper curry stir-fry was delicious, even though I'm not a fan of potatoes. The texture of the potatoes was firm, and the curry spice was just right, so there was no starchy taste. The volume was good, and it was a tasty side dish. The leek and egg salad had a slightly sweet seasoning, but the strong leek flavor was irresistible. Leeks and eggs are the best combination, in my opinion. It was delicious! The bean sprout salad had a good amount, and the seasoning was not too strong, making it easy to eat and tasty, but I still can't seem to like bean sprouts. It's not the restaurant's fault; it's just my preference. The pickled cucumbers were praised by my companion, who felt the homemade touch of the pickling. The onigiri, while a bit small, were plump and well-made. They were delicious. I was surprised by the raw cod roe, which was made with top-quality cod roe finished with only natural salt. I also ordered seaweed tsukudani, which was made without chemical seasonings. It's amazing how natural flavors can be like this. It's not the usual cod roe and tsukudani I eat, so I was impressed. My companion also really enjoyed the tuna mayo, which was made with real tuna (using skipjack tuna). The overall seasoning, including the onigiri, may not appeal to everyone (it's generally mild), but I hope this restaurant stays the same. I enjoyed it once again this time. I will definitely visit again.
