There is a new restaurant serving Northeastern Chinese cuisine in Kamishinjou. Dishes like lamb skewers showcase the characteristics of this region's food. Unfortunately, they don’t have ramen. However, they do offer yakisoba, cold noodles, fried rice, boiled dumplings, and wontons as substitutes. I ordered a wonton soup for 600 yen and a lamb rib skewer for 150 yen. The skewers come in various types and are all reasonably priced at 100-150 yen. The flavors really reflect authentic tastes, which tend to be stronger with garlic; it might be a matter of personal preference for Japanese customers. The menu uses Chinese characters, and I've noticed that there are Chinese patrons visiting, suggesting there are more people from China working in Osaka now.
