At Izakaya Jiro, we had a drink and glanced at Siesta Hakodate before heading to Balthus. The atmosphere at Balthus was calm and sophisticated. Three Hakodate girls who were in front of our house were having a lively conversation. We ordered Sapporo Classic (for myself) and a White Parfait (for my wife). The White Parfait was elegant and not too sweet, very delicious. We also shared a Meat Sauce and Mushroom Doria, which was hot and tasty. We enjoyed it with a second Sapporo Classic. After relaxing, we headed back to our accommodation.

Baltus is a popular café where you can take a break. It has been known for its stylish atmosphere since it opened. It is particularly popular among women. The café is always filled with women. The main attraction here is the white parfait. The whole parfait is white, making it perfect for Instagram. The must-try item here is the white parfait, which consists of white chocolate, rare cheese, lychee, milk gelato, coconut panna cotta, and peach sorbet all packed into a glass. It's all white-colored food and it's sweet and delicious. It's a parfait with a satisfying amount of food. The atmosphere here also makes you feel a little more feminine. A few years ago, I visited this restaurant and decided that I would definitely come back because the food was so delicious. I ordered the Kabocha and Eggplant Meat Gratin for 1,000 yen (including bread, salad, and a drink) and an Iced Tea. I also ordered the White Parfait 02 for 800 yen. The gratin was very hot, so it took me some time to eat it as I have a sensitive tongue, but it was very delicious! I went to a cafe near Teo by myself. There was a counter seat that was easy for one person to sit at. The lunch menu, like gratin and doria, was 1000 yen. I couldn't decide which gratin to choose, either eggplant or pumpkin. There was a photo book of the artist Bartus displayed, I like that artist too. There was also a picture book by a painter living in Hakodate, I spent time looking at it, it was also to my liking, I would have bought it when I was younger. First, a salad was brought, and shortly after, a hot gratin arrived, it was so hot that I wondered if I could eat it right away, I ate it carefully, it had a rich white sauce. I arrived around 11:45, and while eating, an old pendulum clock that was out of date rang twelve times. I have a clock like that at home too, maybe this is a shop where things I like overlap. The bread was also homemade, it was chewy and delicious. The coffee after the meal was also generous, it was written as tailored coffee. The clock rang once with a "bon" sound, indicating 12:30, it was time to leave soon, it will ring again at 1 o'clock, it was a shop where time like that flows.

I visited one of Hakodate's three major parfaits, Balthus, and tried the seasonal Shine Muscat parfait. It was delicious with a great balance and refreshing taste. Even though it was close to closing time, they kindly mentioned at the checkout, "You could have taken your time more with your meal." This kind of consideration really makes a difference.
