I visited a cozy café on Jutadori Street in Miaoho Hills in February 2023. They have a parking lot in front of the store. The café has a homey atmosphere. I wanted to try the shrimp gratin, so I ordered it. They said it would take a little time, but it was served in about 15 minutes. The gratin was piping hot with plenty of cheese and white sauce. The shrimp was small but tasty, and the butter rice was also delicious. However, the iced coffee was not sweet enough.

Today is the first day of my two-day weekend! After reading many reviews, I had beef soba at "Nakau" for breakfast. First, as usual, I brought a gift to my grandmother's care home. Oh no, my left eye is feeling weird? It's been 9 months since I had cataract surgery on both eyes, but this week I see 3 black spots in my left eye that bother me! Especially while driving? Before getting into an accident, I decided to go to the hospital to get it checked out! They opened my pupils and took an X-ray, but I drove there myself! The result of the examination showed no abnormalities! If it still feels bad, I may need to go back for a follow-up? Finished! Next, I received tickets for the Dragons game at Sapporo Dome from a friend, so my wife and I went as a couple! But wait, I don't have the new Fighters uniform (I think it looks tacky?)! So, I went to Ario Sapporo to buy a polo shirt and then headed to Sapporo Dome for the game! Big Boss vs. Manager Tatsunori Hara!! Off track! After a long time, I went to a café on the way to Ario Sapporo (maybe I copied someone's review?) Arrived -> It's been decades since I've been to Ario Sapporo, and I've always been curious about this café with a pink exterior! Today, I went alone to check it out! The parking lot has space for 3 cars! A personal taxi was already there when I entered the café. The mother said, "Welcome! Would you like to sit at the counter?" Friendly? I ordered -> I looked at the menu and realized it's not a café but a dining hall (laughs) I was torn! I said, "I'll have the pork cutlet lunch, please." The mother replied, "The pork cutlet lunch is ready!" The man in front of me said, "Here you go, thank you!" Me??? Maybe the father (laughs) Visual -> First, there was sauce and low-sodium soy sauce in a pitcher, which is good for my high blood pressure! Next, the soup? The mother said, "I'll bring the soup out in a bit. It's still in the pot." I thought they were frying the cutlet (laughs) Main dish arrived -> The cutlet was lightly breaded and well-cooked! There was a slice of lemon. Is it for lemon tea? I don't know now, but in the old days, there were genuine coffee shops! The fried egg had nori on it (laughs) The salad had French dressing on it. The pickled daikon was delicious! The burdock and sweet potato tempura were tasty! The onion soup was delicious but had seaweed in it? Maybe it's seaweed soup (laughs) The mother said, "If you need more sauce, let me know, and I'll bring some more!" I replied, "Thank you, but I have enough!" After eating -> It was delicious as usual! The parking lot is always full here, probably because there are many regular customers! I wanted to chat with the owner, but since it was my first time, I decided not to? Postscript -> The couple waved goodbye outside the café, so I couldn't take a photo of the exterior! Next time, I'll eat a pork cutlet bowl without posting on Tabelog and chat with the father and mother (laughs) It seems like I can spend 2 hours eating lunch here! Thank you for the meal! Thank you! I think the preference is split 50/50 (laughs)

Scallop rice is not cooked in, but rather stir-fried. The ingredients include onions, green peppers, ham, and mushrooms. When it comes to scallops, bamboo shoots with butter are the usual, but I couldn't find any bamboo shoots and the butter flavor wasn't very noticeable. There was quite a garlic flavor. The cutlet is made from Sangen pork, which seems to be their pride. The scallop cutlet is a popular menu item. The cutlet is thin, but I like my scallop cutlets thin. The sauce was light and had a unique flavor, not like a demi-glace. The meat sauce was quite ordinary, maybe it's from a commercial source? This place is handy when other nearby restaurants are crowded. Thank you for the meal~ (^_^)

After several years, I visited this place again. I ordered the Katsudon for 850 yen and a coffee for 100 yen after the meal. The atmosphere here is lovely, with the friendly older lady chatting with customers and the master quietly cooking in the kitchen while watching customers play shogi. The menu item "Barley Juice Sapporo" also shows their sense of humor. The Katsudon arrived promptly and was delicious - the pork cutlet was tender and not too fatty, with a light and crispy batter. The sweet sauce had a homemade taste that was comforting, even though it wasn't exactly to my preference. The dish was topped with plenty of egg and crunchy onions, and even came with a side of simmered hijiki seaweed, which was a nice touch. The consomme soup with tempura bits was also tasty. The coffee after the meal was light and slightly acidic, but it reminded me of the good old days. I really like this place, and now I'm curious to try their spicy curry rice or soup curry. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited a restaurant cafe in Higashi-ku, Sapporo for the second time and had the Spaghetti Garibaldi-style dish. I imagined it would have a soy sauce-based Japanese flavor with a strong taste of garlic and ginger, but it was actually quite mild and simple in flavor. The ingredients included pork, ham, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and cabbage. It was lighter than I expected, but still tasty with its easy-to-eat Japanese-style seasoning. Just like last time, I don't think the fried tempura bits in the soup are necessary. The service is still quick and reliable, which I appreciate. Thank you for the meal!

Café restaurant in Higashi-ku, Sapporo. I had been curious about this place for a while and finally visited during my lunch break. Among the unique menu names, I ordered the "He Likes Him" omelette rice. "He Likes Him" is curry pilaf with curry sauce, while "Little Red Riding Hood Likes Him" is with hashed sauce. The lady in charge of the floor was cheerful, attentive, and moved quickly. The service was super fast, maybe just 5 minutes. The curry pilaf inside the omelette had a subtle saltiness with mainly curry powder flavor. It paired well with the curry sauce. The ingredients included green pepper, onion, mushroom, and ham. The curry sauce was thick and slightly spicy yet mild and quite tasty. The omelette curry was delicious and safe, but I somehow felt a bit unsatisfied. Nevertheless, with a wide menu selection and quick service, I would like to visit this place again. Thank you for the meal~ (^_^)

Finally starting work tomorrow. At this age, returning to work after a long break isn't really a bother. To be honest, I might be losing my mind or becoming numb. On 12/15, I visited a quiet café run by a lively old lady and gentleman. It's a place with a calm atmosphere and regular customers playing shogi. The gentleman got involved in their game, trying to correct their moves, but ended up losing. Afterwards, he casually left the café. The old lady was actively listening to a young female customer's problems. I ordered a dish called "Napos Pagratan," which was a combination of various ingredients. It was said to be popular and cost ¥800 after some discounts. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

In March 2020, I passed by Gulliver's twice and remembered the curry rice. My workplace was nearby, and the sandwich shop was gone, making it easier to park. At 11:10, on my umpteenth visit, I ordered my usual, "Curry spaghetti, please." I was told to wait a bit as they warmed up the curry. The spaghetti was fried just like the old days, with the nostalgic curry sauce poured on top. It was delicious, just as I remembered. I used to eat either spaghetti or rice once a week back then. I love the fried spaghetti with this curry sauce - it's a perfect balance. I was very satisfied and enjoyed my meal. Thank you for the delicious food!

One weekend, I visited a cafe with interesting menu names in Higashi-ku, Kitaku 12-jō Higashi 16-chōme. The parking lot is now easier to park in as the neighboring sandwich shop seems to have closed down. Inside the cafe, there are 5 tables and a U-shaped counter, with manga books scattered around various islands. The background music is non-vocal enka songs. After much deliberation over the menu, I ordered the "Blame Him, He Made Me Fat" dish for 850 yen, as recommended by the owner. The dish turned out to be a unique and delicious combination of omurice with a slightly spicy curry sauce, dry curry inside the omelette, bacon, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, orange-colored fukujinzuke, pumpkin stew, salad with aurora dressing, and wakame soup with tempura flakes. As I enjoyed the meal, I appreciated the anticipation of what dish would arrive based on the creative menu names, and the attentive service provided by the owner and owner's wife. It was a delightful dining experience.

The atmosphere feels like home, with a cozy family vibe. The menu has a good variety and the prices are reasonable. I want to try all the dishes next time. It's a comfortable place to be and I definitely want to go back. There is parking space for 3 cars in front of the restaurant. Just be careful when entering and exiting as it's right by an intersection.

I often visit for lunch. The owner and the staff are nice people, and of course, everything I eat is delicious. The omurice is especially amazing.

The menu called "Deserted Island Story" is interesting. Every 1st of the month is Gulliver Day. It is a cozy cafe with delicious curry. ☕️

In mid-May 2017, I came to eat Katsu Curry Spaghetti in the early afternoon. The sign says "Gulliver II". I wonder if there is a Gulliver I? I was able to slip in as there was one parking space available and I sat at the small round counter-like seat on the left. The atmosphere surrounded by manga, even without bringing a book, was nice. The master with a deep voice and the energetic madam. I don't know what it is about this place, but I kind of like it. Everyone has their own preferences, and I think I like it here. I ordered the Katsu Curry Spaghetti with rice set. The Katsu Curry Spaghetti was ¥850, and the rice set was an additional ¥100. After the meal, I had coffee for ¥100, totaling ¥1,050, slightly over budget, but it's nice to indulge during my day off. The Jumbo Hamburger and Squid Yakisoba also caught my eye. Some menu names with coffee included and some without coffee confused me a bit... What's the "Desert Island Story" all about? It's intriguing. After a short wait, the soup, pickles, and simmered butterbur arrived with the rice set. The soup, with a strong consommé and black pepper flavor, was great. The butterbur was delicious. Next, the rice and Katsu Curry Spaghetti arrived. The thin spaghetti was cooked just right, and the curry was spicier than it looked, with a gradual heat. The Katsu was satisfying, despite looking thin. It was a well-balanced and delicious Katsu. There were two forks in the cutlery box, and I used the "Spaghetti Fork" with the wavy edge. It was a joy to use. The spaghetti and curry mixed well. It was strange, but I even ate the rice with the fork. The rice was delicious, and I wanted more. I loved everything about this meal. Although I felt the value for money was not great with this menu, there were many other options on the menu that seemed more worth it. Additionally, they have a One Coin Day on days with 1 in them, so don't miss that! The hot coffee after the meal was thoughtful, and the service from the lovely madam was excellent. It was a pleasant time. I forgot to take photos of the menu, so I'll definitely come back here again. I got a bit excited. Thank you so much!

Visited for lunch at ★KG★☆LP☆. I have been here for lunch several times, but this is my first review. There is parking for 2-3 cars in front of the shop, but since the neighboring sandwich shop is there, it's effectively 2 cars. Smoking is allowed in all seats, and it's a small, cozy shop with an old-fashioned coffee shop atmosphere. The menu is lined up on the wall, with some mysterious menu names that you wouldn't know what they are without asking. When I asked the lady, she kindly explained it to me. The menu is not only on the wall but also available for you to see. My favorite is the omurice here. The chicken rice sautéed with ketchup is incredibly delicious. The rice dishes are quite filling, so I recommend asking for a smaller portion if you are a woman. It's heartwarming when they automatically give you a smaller portion when you become a regular. The man in the kitchen, who seems to be the husband, has a nice deep voice, and his banter with the lady is entertaining. There are also pasta dishes, but I recommend the fried rice and hamburger dishes. It may seem a bit intimidating to enter, but definitely give it a try! 😉

In the morning of May 2015, I saw a very delicious-looking Napolitan on Facebook. While working, I couldn't get that Napolitan photo out of my mind, so I decided to have pasta for lunch at a cafe near my former workplace from 15 years ago. The sushi restaurant on the left has turned into a soba shop, and the beauty salon on the right has become a special sandwich shop, but this cafe is still going strong. Without hesitation, I decided on the Napolitan and started looking at the spaghetti menu. Just then, my mom arrived and without missing a beat, she ordered, "I'll have the Pork Cutlet Curry Spaghetti, please!" What a life, giving in to curry so easily (laughs). In just 10 minutes, the dish arrived, and the curry smelled wonderful. You couldn't see the cutlet, as it was covered in plenty of curry sauce. This place is proud of its curry rice. It was delicious, with the spaghetti cooked just right, finely chopped parsley, something that wasn't there in the past. Evolution, evolution! The seaweed-filled soup was a bit unbalanced, but it was soothing to drink. I overheard another customer's order, "I'll have the Escalope!" That's right, the way this cutlet is sliced... I see now. Thank you for the meal. Next time, it's Escalope for me.

When I thought about eating Napolitan, I remembered this restaurant so I decided to come. Last time, I had curry spaghetti. On days with a "1" in them, everything is 500 yen, which is very generous. But today is not one of those days... (tears) The Napolitan costs 650 yen (with soup). The ingredients include cabbage, green pepper, onion, and ham, although the ham seems a bit scarce. The spaghetti is medium thickness and slightly soft. There is plenty of ketchup but not too sour. The cabbage is quite good. It's a hearty portion. The soup with tempura bits is delicious! There are many intriguing menu items, so I have a feeling I will be coming back here often! (Rating: 3.9) I finally visited this restaurant that I've been curious about for a while. It seems to be a cafe. The menu is quite extensive, making it hard to decide. There are 25 items a la carte, 7 types of bread, 9 types of curry, 4 types of omurice, 4 types of doria, 15 types of spaghetti, 8 types of pilaf, and 3 types of spaghetti gratin. There are also 3 items in the "From Mito" series. Some menu names seem like dad jokes... Among the many items I want to try, I ordered the curry spaghetti for 650 yen. I was happy to see that it came with soup. I chose the curry over Napolitan based on Mbmb's recommendation that the curry is delicious. The curry is a thick, rich type which I like. It has a nice spicy kick. The spaghetti is thin and seems to be pre-boiled. It's cooked soft. The spaghetti is nicely coated in curry because it's stir-fried once. It's more filling than it looks. The soup is also delicious. As Tom mentioned, the rich consomme soup is tasty. The tempura bits inside add a nice flavor. It seems the restaurant is run by a husband and wife, with the wife doing the cooking. The husband was playing with a toy car. I would like to visit again when I'm in the area. (Rating: 3.8)

Welcome! This restaurant is located in the Higashi Ward, near the Kansho-dori Higashi area. There is a parking lot in front of the store and also in the back. The interior has L-shaped tables, tables in the back, and a circular counter, giving it more of a diner feel than a cafe. The atmosphere is bustling with locals enjoying a meal or a cup of coffee. The menu offers daily specials, including a "One Coin Menu" on the 1st, 11th, 21st, and 31st of each month. There is also a limited "Shoyu Ramen" available on other days. The owner and staff are friendly and efficient, serving up delicious meals quickly. The decor is filled with manga and quirky phrases, reflecting the owners' personalities. The Gari-Ba Spaghetti is a must-try, served with grated cheese and Tabasco. The noodles are cooked perfectly, and the dish is flavorful with a generous amount of pork, ham, cabbage, and onions. The consomme soup is also delicious and can be customized to your liking. Overall, it's a cozy spot to enjoy a satisfying meal.
