I will review three types of "Fresh Pies" purchased at "Sannasuvi" in Ei-cho, Rumoi City. The "Chocolate Banana" has a crispy and light pastry with a perfect balance of sweetness from the cream, banana, and chocolate. The "Condensed Milk Strawberry" is a classic combination of pastry, condensed milk cream, and strawberries that is undeniably delicious. The "Fresh Chocolate Mochi" surprisingly pairs well with the sweet bean paste, fresh chocolate, cream, and pastry. Each costs 400 yen. Also, the "Sausage Pie 400 yen" is delicious too.

I was recommended by the owner of the soup curry restaurant "Curry Zion" in Rumoi City to visit "Sannasubi" for delicious apple pie. I stopped by and bought three pies from the showcase: "Sausage Pie for 400 yen," "Custard Cream Pie for 380 yen," and "Rich Apple Pie for 400 yen." The prices were written on sticky notes, so they may have been slightly discounted. The Sausage Pie had a good balance of sausage, tomato sauce, and cheese wrapped in dough, resembling the taste of pizza. The Custard Cream Pie had a moist and rich cream with a crispy crust, creating a great combination. The Rich Apple Pie had a strong and rich flavor with butter and cinnamon. By the way, you can also get the apple pie without cinnamon. All the pies were delicious, but they were on the smaller side, making them feel a bit pricey.

I ate so much that I couldn't carry it all, but both dishes were very delicious. Thank you for the feast.

I purchased a "Dorayaki" from "Sannasubi" at the "Okatteya Moe" in Rumoi, a local confectionery shop in Rumoi, Hokkaido. The shop is run by three siblings and is known for their freshly baked pies and castella cakes. The dorayaki I bought was moist and soft, with a moderate level of sweetness in the skin and chunky red bean paste made from "Shumari red beans" produced in the Kamikawa region. It was delicious, and I could easily finish three of them. I plan to visit the shop again to try their "Apple Pie." Thank you for the meal.

This is Rumoi. While in Rumoi, I'll be picking up some local sweets. "Sannasubi" Castella for 155 yen tax included. This Castella has a lot of coarse sugar attached to the bottom, which gives it a crunchy texture. It's delicious, but when I looked at the calories, I was a bit shocked - about 300kcal! Well, nobody really cares about calories when eating Castella, right? This Castella isn't moist, more on the dry side, so it's best enjoyed with milk. Looking at the store's website, it seems like they specialize in pies and half-baked Castella. I'm not sure what half-baked Castella is, but I'd like to try it! I'll have to visit the actual store for that. I'd love to stay in Rumoi for a while and enjoy the local cuisine. Thank you for the meal!

At work, I received a gift from a valued client: cheese castella, chocolate castella, and nasubi sanasubi... It was from a unique shop I had never heard of before. When I searched online, I found out it was a confectionery shop in Rumoi. There were no reviews, which was lucky. When I opened the box, I found an assortment of castella, dorayaki, and madeleines. The castella came in four flavors: plain, cheese, chocolate, and matcha. I received the chocolate castella, which was airy, fluffy, and lightly sweet - very delicious. Later, a colleague gave me the cheese castella, which surprisingly didn't taste like cheese. Personally, I prefer this kind of light and fluffy castella over the denser ones. It was a treat.
