This year, I bought a "Chicken Leg 500 yen" from the Kamenaka Butcher Shop in Fukagawa City for Christmas (pre-order required) and ate it. As always, the meat was thick, tender, and very delicious. It was quite filling, so I struggled to finish the Christmas cake afterwards.

Every year for Christmas, I pre-order and buy a "Chicken Leg 1 piece for 400 yen" at "Kaminaka Butcher Shop" in Fukagawa City. It is a limited-time sale during the Christmas season. The meat is thick, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and very delicious. It's a once-a-year treat for me.

◆September 2016◆ This is a butcher shop located about a 10-minute walk from Fukagawa Station. It was established in the Meiji era, making it one of the oldest shops in Fukagawa City. The sign for "meat" is very prominent and easy to spot. The exterior and interior are both new and clean, which is nice. The owner of the shop is very kind and friendly. They recommended dishes like Genghis Khan, hormone, and pork, so I purchased Fukagawa Genghis Khan (400g), salted hormone, and grilled pork. The miso hormone is homemade, while the salted one is from Asahikawa Otemon. It was delicious, but I made a little mistake with the salted one (laughs). I should have just gone with the miso hormone. When I grilled the Genghis Khan at home, the meat was incredibly thick! The meat was tender, and the sauce was delicious without any strong flavors. I'll let the grilled pork sit a little longer and enjoy it with a beer.
