Next to my favorite bakery, there is this place that I've always been curious about. But they only serve lunch on weekdays, so it was a bit hard to visit. Finally, I made it there. There were only a few customers for lunch, and it seemed like it was popular among the locals. I ordered the sushi lunch for 900 yen, which came with squid, salmon, octopus, yellowtail, mackerel, shrimp, white fish, and shellfish salad, along with chawanmushi and miso soup. I was happy to see chawanmushi included! The balance between the rice and the toppings was good. However, I was a bit disappointed that there was no tuna. Maybe it was just for that day. Thank you for the meal!

I recently encountered a restaurant where I was surprised by how delicious the tuna was. I tried the lean tuna and medium fatty tuna, both of which were visually appealing and delicious. I also had abalone sashimi for the first time and learned that you can eat the abalone's teeth. It was a wonderful restaurant where they also shared interesting knowledge. Although it's far away in Nishino, I will definitely visit again! Thank you very much!

This is a sushi restaurant located away from the city center of Sapporo. It is far from the station, but easy to access by car as it has a large parking lot. They have a wide selection of lunch menus. This time, I ordered the Nigiri Sushi and Tempura Soba set, B lunch. As expected of a sushi restaurant, the fish toppings and sushi rice were delicious. The soba came with two large shrimp tempura, which were crispy and tasty. The soba dipping sauce was rich in flavor and exquisite. It is a lunch set with great value for money.

I had the A lunch set with 8 pieces of sushi and soba noodles. The sushi rice was neatly shaped and the vinegar rice was delicious. The selection of toppings included crab, yellowtail, and surf clam, which made me happy. And there was also soba noodles. I have no complaints at all because it's so affordable. Thank you for the meal!

Today at lunch, I went to a sushi restaurant relatively close to my parents' house. According to Tabelog, the opening time is listed as 11:30, so I headed there around that time, only to find that the restaurant was already open when I arrived. Additionally, the lunch menu posted outside stated that the business hours were from 11:00. Despite my attempt to avoid crowds by arriving early, there was only one other customer inside. I decided to order the B lunch set, which included sushi and tempura soba, for 1000 yen excluding tax. The restaurant had hand sanitizer at the entrance, but I unintentionally forgot to use it before being seated. The staff should have guided me properly. The counter seats seemed to be arranged as usual, with the tables in the raised seating area likely unchanged. The ventilation inside the restaurant did not seem adequate, as the windows were not open and the entrance was not left open. The COVID-19 prevention measures felt lacking. After waiting for about 7-8 minutes, my order arrived. The soba was cold, and the tempura was served separately. The sushi was placed in a black square dish, different from the menu photo. The soba texture was not to my liking, and the sushi pieces were large and satisfying. The freshness of the ingredients was good. As we finished our meal, it was almost noon, and more customers started to arrive, making the place crowded. We decided to leave promptly.

I came to this restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I visited around the opening time of 11:30, but the curtain was already up even though it was before the opening time. I like this kind of attitude from a restaurant. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu. The lunch menu includes: Sushi Lunch for 770 yen with sushi, salad, chawanmushi, and miso soup, A Lunch for 770 yen with sushi and soba noodles, B Lunch for 1,100 yen with sushi and shrimp tempura soba, C Lunch for 880 yen with tempura rice bowl and soba, and Ebi-tama Lunch for 770 yen with rice and miso soup, a total of 5 options. There was a photo of Katsudon, but no price was listed. I wanted to try the chawanmushi, so I ordered that for lunch. It took some time for the chawanmushi to be prepared. The sushi included squid, salmon, sweet shrimp, flounder, scallop, crab stick, octopus, and yellowtail, a total of 8 pieces. There were no rolls. The rice was soft but well-seasoned with vinegar, and it was delicious. The size of the sushi was just right, not too small. The sushi had a lot of white fish, so it didn't look very photogenic. I like it when there is tuna, egg, and mackerel in the sushi. The freshly made chawanmushi was delicious. There wasn't a lot of filling, but it was piping hot, which was great. The salad consisted of cabbage and cherry tomatoes. The miso soup had a strong dashi flavor with wakame seaweed, and it was tasty. I want to try the shrimp tempura soba set next time. (Nov 2019)

Located in the residential area of Nishino, just a 5-minute drive from the Miyanozawa subway station (or a 20-minute walk), this traditional Japanese-style sushi restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with both counter and sunken table seating. The parking lot is available, making it convenient for customers. I ordered the nigiri set for 1,000 yen, which was delicious. The sushi rice was seasoned with a gentle touch of vinegar, and the fish was fresh and generously sized. The tuna, in particular, was outstanding, sourced from Spanish waters. Overall, the quality of the ingredients and the skilled preparation make this restaurant a great value for everyday dining.

It's been so long since I last walked through the curtain of a sushi restaurant that I can't even remember. I saw this place on TV before and thought I'd like to try it because it's close and seems cheap for lunch, but time passed and I finally got to visit. The restaurant is spacious and has a better atmosphere than the sushi place I went to before. The lunch menu has been reduced to five options, and I chose the B lunch set. My companion tried to order from the lunch menu, but the waiter insisted on the 14-piece set for 1780 yen. It was a strategy, anticipating that my companion, who eats lightly, would leave some behind when I'm still hungry. After enjoying the atmosphere for a while, the sushi was served. At first, I felt it was a bit expensive based on the appearance, but that changed once I started eating. The sushi crafted by the chef has a unique unity. The way the rice falls apart is exquisite. The tempura shrimp in the B lunch set also had a firm texture and filled my mouth with flavor. As expected, my companion couldn't finish their meal, but surprisingly, I was satisfied with just the lunch set. The nori on the sushi rolls was carefully selected and not overwhelming. The lunch hours until 1 pm on weekdays are quite strict, but considering the prices, it's understandable for the restaurant.

For nearly four years, Tabelog has been on a break and has undergone various system changes. The way reviews are done now is different from before and there are many unclear points. In September 2018, I revisited "Seisu Sushi," a local sushi restaurant that offers a great value lunch menu. The lunch special is only available on weekdays until 1 pm. Even when it's hot and I lose my appetite, I always seem to crave sushi. I visited with my usual dining companion after a long time. There were 2 customers before us and 11 customers after us. All the customers were locals, and my dining companion and I were the youngest there (laughs). We both ordered the "Sushi Lunch" from the weekday lunch menu at the counter. Sushi Lunch: - Assorted sushi (scallop, crab stick, shrimp, flounder, salmon, squid) - Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) - Salad - Miso soup The chawanmushi was freshly made and smooth without any air bubbles on the surface. The ingredients of the day included shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, shrimp, and chicken, which were delicious. The salad was made of daikon radish, carrot, onion, mizuna, and cherry tomatoes. The miso soup had a rich and flavorful broth, which I personally love. The sushi had a slightly sharp taste compared to other local sushi places. For 756 yen (tax included), we got 8 pieces of sushi, including flounder and crab stick, which are not usually used in regular sushi sets. The hot chawanmushi, salad, and miso soup were also included in the set, making it a great value for the price. The owner mentioned that they use the same quality of ingredients for both lunch and dinner. I noticed that the low tables for sitting on tatami mats had been replaced with tables and chairs. The owner explained that many elderly customers found it difficult to sit on the tatami mats, so they changed all the tables to ones with chairs. It's a great sushi restaurant that considers the comfort of its customers. I look forward to having sushi for lunch there again next time. Delicious meal, thank you!

One weekend, I had the misfortune of finding a famous soba restaurant closed, a community cafe not open, and a sushi restaurant seemingly non-existent. Luckily, I stumbled upon this well-known sushi restaurant in the Nishino area that was open for business. The restaurant has a spacious parking lot next to it, and inside, there is a traditional counter and table seating on a raised tatami platform, making it accessible for those with mobility issues. The background music playing was a soccer game on TV. I decided to try their "Jou-nama Chirashi" (raw fish over rice) for lunch, which was beautifully presented in a wooden tub. It featured squid, fatty yellowtail, well-balanced tuna, light salmon, flavorful octopus, crab meat, sweet shrimp, scallop slices, plenty of salmon roe, sweet egg omelet, fresh cucumber, pickled ginger, shiso leaf, radish sprouts, and vinegared rice with a gentle and rounded flavor. The meal ended with a miso soup with seaweed and green onions. Overall, I recommend trying their lunch menu or the three-tiered sushi set for a good value. Thank you for the delicious meal.

It's sushi, Sapporo, it's sushi, for you♪ It's sushi, Sapporo, it's sushi, more than anyone♪ The chef at the entrance was very friendly and welcoming, making regular customers feel at ease to enjoy their sushi. The overall service was pleasant and left a good impression. The lunch deals were cost-effective, with options like sushi lunch sets with chawanmushi or soba, priced at 700 yen (excluding tax). I was curious about the tempura, so I opted for the B lunch set with tempura soba and sushi. The B lunch set cost 1,000 yen (excluding tax), which may not be profitable in some locations. The tempura arrived hot and crispy, with 2 pieces of shrimp tempura. The sushi was well-prepared and satisfying, showcasing the skill and care of the chef. The lunch was affordable and seemed to cater to the local community, with regulars coming in during lunchtime. The sushi included tuna, snow crab, salmon, scallop, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, octopus, and squid - all classic choices. The tuna was particularly delicious with a great texture. The rice was glossy and had a good texture as well. The tempura and soba were decent but not outstanding. Next time, I might skip the soba. Overall, I felt that opting for the 1,780 yen (excluding tax) option would have been more worthwhile. In the evening, you can also order yakitori from the neighboring Senba restaurant. While it's a bit far for me, I would love to come back for dinner if I'm in the area. I feel like there are some great sushi restaurants in residential areas. I look forward to continuing my lunch sushi adventures. Stay tuned for the next episode - a sushi restaurant I'd like to visit again when I'm nearby! It's sushi, Sapporo, it's sushi, for you♪ It's sushi, Sapporo, it's sushi, more than anyone♪

Sesuji Sushi was my first visit this time. I had been wanting to visit this restaurant since last summer when I saw their website. Their lunch menu is only available on weekdays and ends at 1:00 PM. Due to the location of the restaurant, it was difficult for me to visit by 1:00 PM. However, I got a chance and decided to visit. Unfortunately, there was heavy snow causing traffic congestion, making it risky to arrive by 1:00 PM. My companion made a phone call from the car. We were told that it was okay to arrive a bit late if we made a reservation in advance. We reserved two servings of "sushi lunch". We arrived at the restaurant at 1:02 PM. The restaurant is located in Nishino, Nishi Ward, Sapporo, a little uphill from the Kitaichijo Shrine's Sawadori Street. You can check the exact location on Tabelog. We parked the car in the parking space next to the restaurant. Upon entering, we mentioned our reservation. The interior of the restaurant had counter seats and a raised tatami area. We sat at the counter. In just 2 minutes, the "sushi lunch" was served. The sushi lunch included 8 pieces of nigiri sushi: crab, flounder, shrimp, salmon, tuna, scallop. It also came with freshly made hot chawanmushi, salad, and miso soup. The quality of the sushi was slightly sharper in taste compared to Machizushi. The inclusion of flounder and crab was not common for the regular offerings. The flounder had a matured taste and was quite delicious. The price of 735 yen included the sushi, hot chawanmushi, salad, and miso soup, which was a great deal considering the quality and quantity. The owner mentioned that they use the same ingredients for lunch and dinner. It's not a place where casual customers come, so they focus on providing a high-quality lunch. Many female customers also order two servings of the sushi lunch. The leftovers can be taken home, which is convenient. I would definitely want to try their "sushi lunch" and the "sushi and soba set" for 735 yen next time. The owner was friendly and it was a pleasant dining experience.

This is a sushi restaurant located in a residential area in Nishino. When I visited, the soba restaurant was closed, so I decided to stop by here. The restaurant has a typical sushi counter and raised seating area. The sign also mentioned tempura, so it's not surprising to find lunch options like tempura and soba. The restaurant seems to be designed to be convenient for local residents. They had a sushi lunch set for 700 yen, but I opted for a set with a unique name. The soy sauce dispenser was divided into "sashimi" and "sushi," which is not something you see often. The sushi was neatly shaped and the vinegar seasoning was mild, suitable for the local palate. I wish I had paid more attention to the types of sushi when ordering, as some may have higher costs and may not be to everyone's liking. It was probably my fault for not ordering wisely. Overall, it was a very good value sushi meal (1869 yen).

There is a sushi restaurant that offers a great deal with a menu of 14 pieces for less than 2,000 yen. It includes sea urchin, salmon roe, and crab. Eating it alone can be quite filling, so it's recommended to order one for two people or two for three people to have room to try other dishes. Additionally, there is a yakitori restaurant next door where you can order from. The yakitori skewers are large and delicious. The atmosphere is great and the sushi is tasty, so it's definitely recommended over a regular conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

On a certain night in September, I went to this restaurant alone. The interior had about 10 counter seats and a small raised area, giving off a clean and tidy vibe. I ordered the "One and a Half" sushi set, which included tuna, medium fatty tuna, squid, scallop, salmon, sweet shrimp, yellowtail, surf clam, sea urchin, salmon roe, and 2 pieces each of crab and crab roll (there might have been more...). It came with miso soup for 1,890 yen, a great deal. When the owner asked if I was full, I mentioned that I was planning to order a bit more, so he suggested some recommended sushi toppings like octopus, mackerel, sea bream, and flounder. The toppings were all fresh, with the tuna being fresh bluefin tuna. Even the tuna used in the crab roll was delicious. Another recommended dish was the marinated mackerel, which had a melt-in-your-mouth flavor. Despite ordering so much, the bill came out to just over 2,500 yen. The service was exceptional. I believe it's more affordable and satisfying than eating at a mediocre conveyor belt sushi place.
