I visited "Sobakiri Gakusora," a restaurant located in Osaka city. It has been selected as one of the top 100 soba restaurants in the 2022 Tabelog rankings, and has also received a Michelin Bib Gourmand award in the soba category for 2020 and 2023. The restaurant opened in January 2017 and is located a 3-minute walk from Tanimachi 6-chome station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi and Nagahori Tsurumi-Ryokuchi lines. It is situated on an old Kumano Kaido street just off the main road, with an exterior resembling a traditional storehouse. Inside, there is a stylish and simple space with an L-shaped counter seating for 8 people made of beautiful light wood. The soba noodles are served until they run out, and they can sell out quickly. Today, I had the Mori Soba, which features thin, firm noodles with visible grains. The noodles have a strong texture, pleasant aroma, and a smooth mouthfeel. The soba dipping sauce is slightly on the richer side. Soba water is served at the right timing and comes with a small spoon to adjust the amount of dipping sauce and water to your liking. You can drink the soba water endlessly. I definitely plan on revisiting in the future. Thank you for the meal.

It will be two weeks in a row of food hopping in Tanimachi♪ Heading east along the Karahori Shopping Street and crossing Tanimachi Street, there was a restaurant on the right. Soba Kiridake Sora-san, a well-known and popular shop. Already two groups of people were lining up! We were lucky to get a seat on our first try, but on this day, it was still scorching hot outside and the people waiting were struggling :( ;´꒳`;) We ordered soba tofu, seared mackerel sushi, and mori soba. We decided to go easy on alcohol and enjoy hot soba tea instead (*^^*) The soba tofu was served with dashi soy sauce and wasabi. It had a smooth texture and great flavor♪ The seared mackerel sushi had a crispy rice base and a delicious smoky flavor♡o。.。・゚・(⦾ᗜ⦾)・゚・。.。o♡ Delicious! And the star of the meal, the mori soba, was fragrant and had a great texture, made with three types of buckwheat from the foothills of the Yatsugatake Mountains in Nagano Prefecture. The dipping sauce was rich and had a sharp taste, making it a refreshing dish to enjoy*.(๓´͈ ˘ `͈๓).* The atmosphere and service in the restaurant were excellent, making it easy to linger longer after a few drinks (´>∀<`)ゝ We were only having non-alcoholic drinks this time, so let's remember to leave promptly after finishing our meal to help those waiting outside in the scorching heat (^_-)-☆ I would love to come back in the winter and try their hot soba next time! Thank you for the meal m(_牛_)m

Today I found out that they were open for business and decided to go. I had the steamed chicken and sudachi cold soba for 1600 yen, and the seasonal obanzai assortment for 1350 yen. I also enjoyed two glasses of Heartland beer and local sake. Everything was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

There is a quiet and cozy shop just a 3-minute walk south from Subway Tanimachi 6-chome. Although it took about an hour and a half from arrival to being served due to the popularity and busyness of the restaurant, the soba noodles were worth the wait. The noodles were thin with a nice texture and aroma, and the broth was rich and flavorful. The timing of the soba water at the end was impressive. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Had lunch at Soba Kiridake Sora in Tani 6. It was my first visit to this stylish restaurant with only a counter. I ordered a half portion of Mori Soba and seared Mackerel Sushi. The appetizers were also satisfying, but I resisted the temptation to drink while eating. The soba served was so fresh and chewy that I could slurp it without dipping it in the sauce. The sauce had a good flavor of soy sauce and bonito. The seared Mackerel Sushi was delicious with its fatty sweetness and smoky aroma. Finally, I enjoyed the thick soba soup and finished my meal. Thank you for the feast.

I visited Soba-kiri Gaku, a soba restaurant in the Momonokai shopping street at 7-1-54 Tanimachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City. I decided to have lunch here and ordered the Duck Seiro for 1,750 yen. The restaurant has only 8 counter seats, but the clean and tidy interior is a testament to their good work. The service was also friendly, and they took our order at the right time. After about 10 minutes, the zaru soba was served, looking shiny and fresh. Then, the warm duck dipping sauce arrived, with three thick slices of duck peeking out. The rich and slightly spicy dipping sauce coated the soba well, making it very delicious. However, I noticed that there were no meatballs in the duck broth. If they had been included, I would have given them a higher score. Nevertheless, the taste and satisfaction of the food were top-notch, as expected from a famous restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

It seemed like they had just opened, but the 8-seat counter was already full. I thought the soba would come quickly, but everyone seemed to be ordering both soba and side dishes, so I ended up waiting for almost an hour. I had tempura and soba, and the tempura was crispy while the soba was delicious whether eaten plain or with salt. The soba dipping sauce was on the richer side.

This popular restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 soba shops. I've always wanted to go but have been disappointed multiple times due to sold out items or being closed for a few months. However, I finally made my long-awaited first visit. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and has a sense of elegance. I ordered the mori soba with 1.5 servings. It is delicious. The aroma, texture, and smoothness of the soba are all excellent. Sometimes, at refined soba shops, the taste can be too refined, but here, the soba flavor is strong and satisfying. I was also interested in trying the mackerel sushi, but I resisted in order to have a meal at a Western-style restaurant in Yotsuya.

I felt like eating cold soba noodles on this day. I decided to visit this famous restaurant. I arrived 30 minutes before opening, but there was already a line forming. I missed the first round and had to wait for a while. It was a Sunday, so many customers were drinking alcohol and the turnover was slow. I waited for about an hour and a half before eating. I ordered the Mori Soba (1,050 yen) and the seared mackerel sushi (450 yen). I wanted to order a portion and a half of the sushi, but I was told they couldn't do that, so I settled for one portion. The soba came with both soba dipping sauce and salt. While salt was good, I personally preferred the soba dipping sauce. The soba noodles had a good texture and were delicious. The mackerel sushi rice was fluffy and had a nice aroma. The female staff who served us was polite and attentive. She even checked in on us while we were waiting in line, which was a nice touch. Overall, despite the long wait, I had a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal!

A renowned restaurant that had been closed for a while due to the owner's childbirth. It reopened in March, and I finally had the chance to visit. I ordered a tasting set of sake, where I could choose three types or leave it up to the server. I didn't know any of the sakes, but I was intrigued by the Nabeshima, so I requested that. Each of the three sakes had different characteristics - Miyaizumi and Mimuro Sugi were elegant, especially Mimuro Sugi with its bubbly texture which I loved. Nabeshima had a unique taste compared to the other two, but it paired perfectly with the sake thief! The soba had a wonderful aroma, smoothness, flavor, and texture. The restaurant was clean, and the charming atmosphere created by the lovely owner added to the enjoyment of the delicious soba. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

My spouse and I had to wait a long time because the restaurant is run by just the two of them. We arrived around 12:30 and didn't get our food until 1:30, but we were prepared for the wait and managed to wait patiently. The soba tea was delicious, especially on a cold day. We ordered the mori soba and tempura, both of which were delicious! The mushrooms, young corn, shrimp, eggplant, and smoked bonito were all excellent in the tempura. The soba noodles were thin and smooth, and when eaten with the tempura, it was incredibly tasty! We finished our meal in no time. I'm usually not a fan of soba broth, but I enjoyed it here. The taste was just as I had hoped for.

Today I visited "Soba Kiridaka Sora" in Tanimachi Rokuchome, Osaka. It was their long-awaited reopening. I arrived 40 minutes before opening time, and was the first customer. I ordered the tempura set, half-size soba, and simmered young burdock. It was delicious as always at Kiridaka Sora. It seems they will only be open on weekends in March.

Located at a corner of the Akahori shopping street, this soba restaurant is said to be one of the top 100 in the area. I arrived 30 minutes before the Sunday opening time of 11 am and was the first in line. Due to the rain, there were only 7 people waiting at opening time, and we all entered the restaurant. I ordered the duck soba and mackerel sushi. The mackerel was freshly seared and the soba had a standard deliciousness, but the thick dipping sauce had a rich flavor.

Today's soba was at "Gakuzora" in Osaka. I arrived at the restaurant right at 11:00 and was the first in line, but soon there were 2 more groups and by 11:15 there were about 5 groups waiting. It's truly a famous restaurant. I started with some side dishes and then had the tempura soba and kake soba. It was worth coming early! I finished eating at 12:15, and by that time the soba was already sold out and the restaurant was closed! Closing after only 45 minutes of being open...I was surprised!

When I arrived, the soba was already sold out. It was a Sunday, and I got there at 11:47. There were 7 people waiting outside. I underestimated the speed, thinking it would be quick. The staff outside were asking how many servings of soba and if we wanted tempura. At one point, they only had one serving of soba left, and the seared mackerel sushi was also gone. At 12:02, the sign changed from "Open" to "Soba sold out." I just made it in time as the last customer. They closed after only 30 minutes of business and two rounds of customers. It was a narrow gate to get in. The turnover was so slow! It's been a while since I had to wait standing up for so long. Finally, at 12:55, I could sit inside the restaurant. I was finally seated at 13:27. It took 1 hour and 40 minutes from my arrival to being seated! The first tempura dish was served at 13:46. From arrival to first dish, it took 2 hours! Soba set for 950 yen with extra wasabi, and a tempura platter for 1300 yen. It was expensive, but everyone was having the tempura, so I gave it a try. The soba had a clear appearance and was thin. You could see the grains. The dipping sauce was a bit strong. It had a refreshing and firm texture. I understand why they asked how many servings we wanted. The tempura included shrimp, eggplant, sweet potato, shiitake mushroom, and smoked herring. They were all crispy and delicious, especially the shiitake mushroom, which was crunchy and fragrant! It was worth ordering despite the high price. The timing was perfect when they brought out the soba broth. Some people were enjoying their tempura, soba, and drinks, getting refills. It's no wonder. There's a notice outside, but I think this restaurant is more suitable for people with plenty of time. Both the soba and tempura were very delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Tucked away just a 3-4 minute walk from Tanimachi Rokuchome Station, "Sobakiri Gakusora" has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Soba Restaurants in 2022" on Tabelog. I visited around 1:45 pm on a weekday, with just one other customer present. The restaurant exudes a sense of luxury, with only 8 counter seats available. I ordered the "2-piece Mori Soba" (1750 yen including tax). The slightly translucent soba had a great texture and mouthfeel, giving a true soba-eating experience. The flavor was delightful. Although the portion size of the 2-piece set felt a bit small, the dipping sauce was rich and flavorful. When dipped in moderation, the soba's flavor, texture, and the sauce's taste all came together beautifully. Lastly, the rich soba-yu (soba water) at the end was a treat. I would definitely want a refill. The staff's service was exceptional, and I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I arrived at the restaurant a little before 12 o'clock, and about 10 minutes later, they announced that they were closing. The interior of the restaurant was spacious, bright, and beautiful, exceeding my expectations. After waiting for about an hour, I finally got to try the mixed soba. The soba noodles were clean and had a strong flavor despite being low in moisture. The dipping sauce had a balanced taste, not too strong in dashi or soy sauce, allowing the soba to be enjoyed to the fullest. It was really delicious. Thank you very much. Itadakimasu.

I visited Gakuzora, a restaurant I had been curious about for a while, on Sunday at 11:30 am. There was only one seat available, so my companion and I had to wait inside the restaurant. After about a 30-minute wait, we were finally seated. At this point, there were about 5 or 6 groups waiting, and the open sign had been taken down. We ordered the mori soba, assorted tempura, and seared mackerel sushi. The tempura included angel prawn, eggplant, sweet potato, smoked daikon radish, and shiitake mushrooms. The angel prawn had a crispy head and a plump body. It was my first time trying tempura with smoked daikon radish, and I discovered that it was delicious when fried. After a while, the mori soba arrived. It had a translucent appearance with visible grains of soba, looking very appetizing. When eaten as is, the soba had a great flavor and a chewy texture with a satisfying snap. It came with Lake salt and wasabi from Azumino, and personally, I preferred putting the Azumino wasabi on the soba and dipping it in the soba broth. The seared mackerel sushi was very oily and had a delightful smoky flavor from being seared. I finally got to visit Gakuzora and was extremely satisfied. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

I went to a famous soba restaurant and had soba tofu, cream cheese pickles, and dipping soba. The soba had a nice texture and was delicious. I only had a little bit because I am trying to lose weight. My current weight is 41.3kg and my goal is 40.0kg. I enjoy using Eat Log with the concept of "eating to lose weight."
