Visited on February 11, 2019, the last day of the 3-day weekend, with my companion to enjoy both yakiniku and seafood. Even though it was a 3-day weekend, I only had Sunday off. We were guided to the second floor by a very energetic female staff member. I had often passed by this restaurant and noticed that the entrance door was always open, and I had thought there were no customers inside, but it turns out that the main seating area is on the second floor. My apologies. We ordered salmon sashimi for 780 yen, which was delicious with good fat content. The tako zangi for 650 yen had a sweet flavor instead of the usual salted taste. The cucumber kimchi for 400 yen was slightly sour and not very spicy. The medium fatty beef ribs for 700 yen had a lot of fat, which melted in the mouth, but it was a bit too fatty for my liking. The shirokoro hormone (miso flavor) for 500 yen was soft and easy to eat, but the miso flavor was not very strong. The Hokkaido specialty Jingisukan for 600 yen had a taste that made me want to eat it in a hot pot. The grilled vegetable assortment for 500 yen used good quality vegetables. We also ordered a large rice for 300 yen, non-alcoholic beer for 400 yen, and ginger ale for 300 yen. Additionally, we added the top sagari for 1100 yen, which was a bit dry as it seemed to be overcooked. We also ordered another grilled vegetable assortment for 500 yen and an additional rice for 200 yen. Before starting to grill, I found a piece of metal wire stuck in the grill, but the staff quickly replaced it. Overall, the quality of the ingredients was good. Especially the grilled vegetables were not just a side dish but really delicious, which impressed me. The only disappointing points were that the inside of the sunken hearth was cold and the dipping sauce for the yakiniku was slightly different from my preference. Just to clarify, this doesn't mean that the other dishes were not delicious, so please don't misunderstand.

I decided to go out for dinner with my son in Kushiro. My son requested yakiniku and I wanted seafood. I searched for a yakiniku restaurant on the bed of the hotel and found one that offers both yakiniku and seafood. I made a reservation through Tabelog and was able to secure a table for my son and me.

Kushiro izakaya. Actually, I was craving for yakiniku and found this place (lol). I heard they also serve seafood like oysters, so I decided to give it a try. The meat was all tender and juicy, really delicious! And the beer was ice cold!! That's important! I ordered oysters, and they were plump and packed with flavor, so good. I wanted to try other dishes besides meat, but I got too full, so maybe next time. But my craving for delicious meat was definitely satisfied, so I left very happy. It's not often that I get to go, but I'm glad I found a great restaurant in Kushiro. Thank you for the meal (^^♪ Oh, by the way, the kanji for the restaurant was a bit hard to read, but it's pronounced as "shuu," right (lol)?

Tonight for dinner in Kushiro. Along the banks of the Kushiro River is like the bustling downtown area of Kushiro, with various shops clustered together. There are several large public parking lots along the river, so parking is not a problem. Today, the izakaya I was aiming for was unfortunately full due to customers in front of us, so we had to give up... What to do - where to go? We wandered around and ended up at this restaurant. We were guided to a private room on the second floor. Feeling a bit cold, they quickly brought a small electric stove and a knee blanket for us. Grateful! The table had a grill for yakiniku, giving off a very authentic vibe, but the menu was full of seafood dishes. The most delicious was the tachipon. The freshness was so good, with a sweet and rich flavor and amazing texture. The whale sashimi was also delicious. It had a nostalgic taste, like fish but also like meat, with a light and protein-rich flavor. I also ordered various yakiniku dishes. I love horumon, so I ordered two servings of pork horumon as usual... but this was a mistake! The yakiniku here serves quite a large portion for one person. Despite worrying if we could finish it all, we managed to eat everything. The portions here are larger than at regular izakayas, and the quality is top-notch, making for a dinner that exceeded expectations. We usually order enough for two people, but the amount we ordered this time was enough for three people... a happy miscalculation, with great value for money! This izakaya has no complaints. It is both a yakiniku restaurant and a seafood restaurant, showcasing a variety of high-quality dishes. Even for those who come for the meat, I recommend trying the fresh seafood menu here, especially the tachipon, which is exquisite.

I visited a restaurant in Kushiro to enjoy seafood. While there are several famous traditional charcoal grill restaurants in Kushiro, they seemed a bit touristy to me. I decided to try this izakaya instead, which also had a yakiniku section. I was a bit concerned about the combination of seafood and yakiniku, but the quality of the seafood and the cooking skills impressed me. The cod milt, known as "tachi," was exceptional. Both the raw and tempura versions were delicious, with a unique taste that stood out. The raw tachi had a sweet and aromatic flavor, while the tempura version was softer and even sweeter. The tempura batter was light and did not overpower the delicate taste of the milt. The use of sesame oil in the batter added a subtle flavor and lightness. However, the prices were a bit high. After ordering a sashimi platter, I also had saury sashimi for 650 yen, raw oysters for 780 yen, and tachi tempura. I also had two beers and two glasses of sake, totaling 7,000 yen. While the quality was good, the prices were a bit steep. I recommend sharing dishes with a group to maximize satisfaction. Overall, it's a reliable restaurant, but it may be a bit pricey for some.

During the daytime, I had been eating and walking around, so I wasn't very hungry by the time it got dark. However, I didn't want to just go to bed without eating anything, so I decided to wander around the bustling area of Suehiro in Kushiro and ended up visiting this place. It seems to be a yakiniku restaurant as well, but the entrance is a bit confusing as to what type of restaurant it is.
- Date and time of visit: September 21, 2015 (Monday, public holiday) / around 8:00 PM
- Purpose: Dinner for a couple
- Order: Whale sashimi (850 yen), Pacific saury sashimi (550 yen), ikura (salmon roe) rice bowl (850 yen), beef tongue stew (680 yen), beer
- Time from order to serving: About 10 minutes
- Review of the dishes: The whale sashimi had a unique smell that I wasn't used to, but the Pacific saury was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the ikura rice bowl was disappointing as the skin was tough and the rice was dry. Despite that, the beef tongue stew was the most delicious dish with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Overall, the prices were reasonable.
Recommendation: It seems that you can also order yakiniku here. However, I didn't quite like the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the disappointing ikura rice bowl made it a bit of a letdown for dinner. I'm already full today, so I'll just go to bed quietly.

They use high-quality meat to showcase the natural deliciousness of the meat itself. Highly recommended for those who appreciate good quality meat!! Personally, I found the sauce to be lacking, but if you want to enjoy the true flavor of the meat, then eating it with just salt may be the way to go here. The kimchi was also delicious, and the other sashimi dishes were tasty as well. The prices are on the higher side, so if you eat a lot, it could easily go up to around 7000 yen per person, but if you want to savor the true taste of red meat, then it's worth a visit. They charge a service fee of 10% and then add an additional 8% consumption tax, so in total, we ended up paying 18% on what we ate.

I searched the internet for a delicious sushi izakaya in Kushiro, and found a hit. I visited this place last year and ordered delicious hair crab, so I decided to visit again this time. The restaurant has moved to a new location across from the old one, next to "Robata". This time, I pre-ordered Taraba and Hanasaki crabs. The crab that came out was huge and cost ¥5,000 for two people. We enjoyed sucking all the joints and pouring sake into the crab miso. The sake I enjoyed the most was "Kita no Katsu" from Nemuro. In addition to that, we also had octopus, sardine sashimi, and more, all incredibly fresh and delicious. We were already full, but we shared a huge rice ball at the end. Overall, it was a great izakaya with almost no complaints. The place seems to have moved from a previous yakiniku restaurant, as there was a yakiniku grill on the table. They also have a solid yakiniku menu. It seems like they offer both options, which is nice. I would definitely want to revisit this place when I go to Kushiro. Compared to other popular places nearby, this was a pleasant surprise that exceeded my expectations.

Tachi Pon at Izakaya Soshu in Hokkaido is a must-try dish. It's perfect for this time of year when everything is covered in snow and the weather is cold. Tachi is a seasonal delicacy and when served as Tachi Pon, it's a refreshing and delicious dish that helps you relax and unwind after a long year. Located in Kushiro, Hokkaido, Izakaya Soshu is the place to go for a great dining experience.

I wanted to eat yakiniku a little bit, but neither of us were very hungry so we ordered a few items. We ordered premium kalbi for ¥2100, kalbi for ¥1500, scallop sashimi for ¥480, beef tendon stew for ¥580, yukhoe bibimbap for ¥800, grilled vegetables for ¥500, and a glass of wine for ¥600, each one. The total came out to be ¥6560, but when we got the bill, it was around ¥8300. When I asked what the extra ¥1200 was for, I was told it was a service charge. I found it a bit expensive to be charged an additional ¥600 per person for a meal at around 7 pm, especially since we didn't receive any complimentary dishes and one person didn't even drink alcohol. The meat and scallop sashimi were delicious. I found the balance of marbling and lean meat in the kalbi to be better in the regular kalbi than the premium one. The beef tendon stew was a bit too salty for my taste. The menu prices seemed reasonable, and I had planned to come back occasionally, but this experience was disappointing.

I was curious about this izakaya that also offers yakiniku, so I decided to check it out. However, I didn't feel like the cost-performance ratio was great, and the dishes didn't have any outstanding points. Among the dishes like octopus tempura, ramen salad, saury sashimi, whale sashimi, chanja, sagari, and Kitami pork, the octopus tempura was the best. Since they offer both izakaya and yakiniku dishes, it's a good choice for those who want to enjoy both.

I visited a restaurant in Kushiro on a business trip. It was my first time choosing a restaurant on my own, and I think I hit the jackpot. The restaurant is called "Soh" and it seems to be a yakiniku place as well. The beer was ice-cold. I ordered a sashimi platter and whale sashimi. My companion was delighted to try whale for the first time. We also ordered yakiniku and hormone dishes. The meat looked delicious and tasted great, although the sauce was a bit lacking. We also tried some izakaya dishes like simmered dishes and salad, and everything was well-prepared. They also had a good selection of sake. I hope this restaurant thrives because I would definitely want to visit again when in Kushiro.

I have been going to this restaurant for 20 years, and the food is truly delicious. The atmosphere is a bit intimidating, but the kind master serves amazing dishes. Every time I go back to Kushiro, I make sure to visit and enjoy the feast. Without a doubt, it is incredibly delicious. The prices are not cheap, but you can enjoy incredibly delicious dishes and plenty of drinks.
