I wanted to eat a curry with a strong spice flavor after a long time, so I decided to go to the popular Aabel Curry, where there is always a line. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Friday, and their Chicken Curry and weekly special curry combo is very popular. The restaurant is located right near Hankyu or Subway Kujo Station. Nearby, you can also find the casual French restaurant Oono. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor, up a slightly steep staircase. I arrived 5 minutes before the 12:00 opening time, and there were already 4 people waiting in line, even though it was a weekday. At 12:00, they started letting in customers one by one. This time, I was lucky to only wait for 5 minutes before being seated, which was quite fortunate. The restaurant is small and has a stylish and casual atmosphere with lots of greenery, giving it a cafe-like feel. There are 4 counter seats facing the window at the back of the restaurant, and there are also two 2-person tables and one 4-person table. By a little after 12:00, the restaurant was already full, and a line started forming outside. However, by 12:30, there was a turnover, and people were able to enter smoothly. The lunch hours are from Tuesday to Friday, from 12:00 to 14:30 (last order), but they may close early if they run out of food. The menu includes the Aabel Chicken Curry and the weekly special curry combo for 1,150 yen, and the Aabel Chicken Curry alone for 1,050 yen. Side dishes like dal, kachumber, raita, subji, achar, and papad are included. I ordered the Chicken Curry and the weekly special curry combo. The weekly special was "Beef Kalbi and Spinach Masala" this week. The curry was served beautifully after a short wait. The Aabel Chicken Curry had large chunks of chicken in a mild and creamy sauce with a hint of spices. The Chicken Curry was flavorful and had a nice balance of spices. The chicken was tender and went well with the spicy curry. The weekly special curry was rich and flavorful, with tender beef kalbi and a strong spice flavor. The beef was cooked perfectly and added a deep richness to the curry. The spinach added a nice sweetness to the dish. The curry was spicy and delicious, making it hard to stop eating. The turmeric rice was firm and paired well with the spicy curry. The side dishes included papad, which was crispy and savory, and a variety of other delicious dishes.
