I used the restaurant for a girls' night out. We made a reservation for two and were seated at the counter. We chose the “Koi Course,” which was 4,500 yen and included a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option. We entered at 5:30 PM, and the restaurant quickly filled up. I think it’s a popular place. This was my first time trying robatayaki (grilled over an open flame). Watching the delicious meat being cooked right in front of us allowed for great conversation, making the timing of food, dining, and chatting just perfect. I realized how enjoyable robatayaki can be. The lean cuts of meat were especially good, with nice texture and volume. As we left, we were given grilled rice balls as a takeaway, which I’m looking forward to eating for breakfast tomorrow. When we exited, there was a long line of customers waiting to get in. Since we had such a relaxing time, I’d love to use this place again for another girls' night out.

Last time we had a course meal, but today we ordered from the menu. The char-grilled sweetfish and shrimp are excellent! It's a great spot for a date! Although it's a robatayaki (charcoal-grilled) restaurant, there's also a wide variety of yakiniku (grilled meat) options. It's open late, making it one of the more convenient places to visit. I highly recommend it!

I had a great experience with robatayaki. It's quite rare to find a restaurant that offers it alongside grilled meat. I believe that added to the deliciousness. I also enjoyed the grilled sweetfish, which I haven't eaten much recently, and it was tasty after such a long time. It’s hard to find a place where you can enjoy both grilled meat and seafood, so I highly recommend it.

I'm sorry that my photos aren't great. There were hardly any people walking near the restaurant, but the inside was almost full and lively. I had the fatty tuna, harami, morning chicken, and sweetfish, and they were all incredibly delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the drinks came out quickly. Two of us spent 12,000 yen (with all-you-can-drink). At first, I had trouble finding the entrance and some items were sold out. I definitely want to visit again!

In Kokura, there are two restaurants: "Ushi no Charisma," known for its classic yakiniku, and "Robata no Charisma," which specializes in robatayaki. This is the first robatayaki restaurant to open in Kokura and has already become a popular spot! For our order, we had: ⭐️ Big Toro Tongue, Salted Tongue, ⭐️ Assorted Lean Cuts, Neck Meat, and Black Japanese Beef Liver. The atmosphere is nice, making it suitable for any occasion. The seasoning of the meat is excellent, and it’s easy to eat, making it the kind of place you could visit every day. The staff has a good eye for quality, so if you ask for recommendations, you can’t go wrong!

On September 27, 2023, a new seafood and grilled meat restaurant opened on the 3rd floor of Kokura Noren Village. Since Producer P insisted I come, I couldn't refuse and ended up being the first to post a review. As the restaurant name suggests, it's part of the "Ushinokarishima" family of barbecue places in the fish town, so I decided to focus on the seafood this time while leaving the meat for the other location. I want to mention that the grilled scallops with butter should have the butter added on top at the end, as it completely melts while cooking. Also, for the sweetfish, I'd prefer sansho vinegar over lemon. Keep in mind that the plate used for the sweetfish is the same as the serving plate, so if you're particular about it, you might want to change it yourself. The "Drug Egg Potato Salad" comes with salmon roe, which is a nice treat. However, the seasoned egg has a tsuyu flavor, which feels a bit cheap, raising some concerns. Now, the unique aspect of this restaurant is that they use shichirin (small charcoal grills), and grilling is left up to the customers. This means that the perfect cooking of the food will depend on your skills (or luck), so evaluations may vary. Additionally, it surprisingly takes time for the food to cook, so some quick menu items might be necessary. While they still have a little way to go to achieve true service excellence, the heartfelt hospitality is commendable. This series of restaurants might be more reliable than you think. If they open a third location, it’s definitely worth checking out!

The freshly prepared chicken meat was delicious. It would have been even better if there had been unlimited sake included.
