I had a girls' night out in Ikebukuro with a friend I hadn't seen in a while! While searching for a restaurant online, I discovered this place. It’s connected to Ikebukuro Station via an underground path, and if you exit from the 39th exit, you can get very close to the restaurant. The restaurant is located in the basement of a building. Since dinner starts at 5:00 PM, I made an early reservation for that time, and we were the first customers! (lol) After that, more and more customers came in. Both of us love alcohol, so we thought about ordering a bottle of wine. We asked the staff for recommendations and ended up getting a bottle of red wine for 2,750 yen. There were several types of both red and white wine available by the bottle, so for anyone who enjoys wine, ordering by bottle seems like a good value!
◆ Salmon Marinade and Orange Carpaccio - 869 yen
I was really torn between this and the prosciutto, but since I wanted some meat for the main dish, I chose the salmon carpaccio! The cumin added a nice touch and it was delicious.
◆ Raclette Cheese - Grilled Vegetable Plate with 6 Types of Vegetables - 2,618 yen
This place is famous for its raclette cheese! It was my first time trying raclette, and it was surprisingly delicious without any strong flavor! The crispy bits from grilling were tasty, and the melted cheese on top kept it hot for a long time. I generously dipped all the veggies in the cheese! It was so good that I want to eat it again!
◆ Ribeye Steak (180g) - 1,980 yen
The steak came with a generous serving of fries, making it a hearty meal! It paired perfectly with the red wine. I thought 180g might be too much, but I ended up finishing it all!
◆ Homemade Wagyu Meat Sauce Pasta - 1,628 yen
This pasta had chunks of meat in the sauce, and the texture of the fresh pasta was really enjoyable. I wanted to have dessert too, but I got so full! Next time, I’m hoping to try the cheese fondue!

I had the homemade meat sauce from "Kamakura," topped with plenty of Parmesan and Raclette cheese sauce. True to its name, the dish was piled high with white cheese, completely hiding the meat sauce underneath. As I mentioned in the title, it had a delightful balance of acidity and sweetness, making it very delicious.

I reserved a cheese course and went there! Every dish, from the appetizer to the main course, was covered in cheese and it was delicious. I had prosciutto with grated cheese and mushrooms for the first time, and I want to have it again. The main dish of beef topped with raclette cheese was also very satisfying, as the raclette cheese had a strong flavor. The all-you-can-drink option had quality alcoholic beverages. Everything was delicious, and I definitely got a bit tipsy!

Based on my personal bias that underground restaurants never disappoint, I ordered a course at an Italian restaurant located underground that included their specialty raclette. I indulged in an abundance of cheese, and there was even a performance of melting cheese for dessert. I definitely want to visit this place again! As expected, underground restaurants are always a hit!

On weekends, it's mandatory to order a meal set for lunch, which includes options like pasta, curry, and roast beef rice bowls. This time, I ordered the visually appealing curry. The flavor was a bit monotonous, and the portion was quite large, so I felt full towards the end, but since I ordered it for its appearance, I didn't mind too much. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere, and the cheese dishes and desserts looked delicious, so I would love to try it for drinks or cafe use in the future.

Since I had plans to visit Ikebukuro, I made a reservation at CHEESE CHEESE & Meat. COMTE. The reservation was only for a table, but I was able to order a course menu upon arrival, so I chose the 4,500 yen course and updated a few items on the menu. To drink, they had Carlsberg, which was delicious, and I ended up ordering it multiple times. The food had a variety of options to choose from, and I ordered several of my favorites. Everything was tasty, but my personal favorites were the roast beef bowl and the steak topped with raclette cheese. I ordered the roast beef bowl in double size, but overall the portions were quite large, so it might be a bit too much for someone who doesn't eat a lot. However, I was very satisfied.

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. I had made a reservation, but due to the approaching typhoon news, there were no waits and I was able to enter right away. My companion and I ordered a sharing course. The appetizer was a Caesar salad, which had plenty of cheese and a rich flavor, making it very enjoyable. I would like to try the salmon carpaccio next time. For the main dishes, we ordered cheese fondue and carbonara. The cheese fondue came with a variety of items like bread, vegetables, bacon, and sausages. The cheese coated everything well, and we enjoyed it until the very last bite. The carbonara was also cheesy and had a rich sauce, making it a decadent dish. The dessert was a rich cake, and since the sharing course allows for inexpensive drink refills, we enjoyed it with coffee and tea, which was delightful. The staff were very attentive, and I would definitely like to return when I crave cheese.

Initially, I was considering lunch at another restaurant, but after getting lost and feeling tired from walking around... I noticed there was a location right in front of the station that had people lined up even before it opened. I didn’t pay much attention to it at first, but after wandering around, I ended up finding the same restaurant! The place had just opened not long ago, and since there were available seats, it felt like serendipity!
The menu had many delicious-looking options, and since lunch came with a drink, I went for white wine. I also ordered the prawn and mozzarella cheese with tomato sauce and the pepero pesto with shirasu (young sardines) and karasumi (dried mullet roe) along with arugula. Although the hanging tender steak wasn’t listed on the lunch menu, I decided to order it as well! I was thrilled to have fresh shirasu, and everything was delicious! I’m now looking forward to trying more cheese dishes since they’re highlighted in the restaurant’s name!

I ordered from the raclette menu because I was craving melted cheese. They serve the cheese right in front of you, which is a nice touch! Both my friend and I love cheese, so towards the end, we found ourselves wishing we had more cheese, haha. Overall, the portion sizes weren't too large, and the cheese didn’t feel too heavy. For dessert, we ordered a torched cheesecake, which they also torched right in front of us. The brulee part had a slightly bitter taste and had a nice two-layer texture, making it delicious. The restaurant is baby stroller-friendly, but there’s no elevator, so you'll need to carry your stroller down to the basement. The aisles are not very wide, so it may not be the best option for families with small children. The staff was kind and helpful.

Of course, it's all about cheese! Even the snacks are cheese-based. It's recommended for girls' gatherings. There were definitely many women in the restaurant. Personally, I was very satisfied! The quality of cheese here is better than at that cheese spot in Shin-Okubo, so I didn't feel bloated at all. The guys who want to drink might be a bit disappointed, though, haha.

I entered the restaurant around 13:45, and the last order is at 14:00. The rich cheese dry curry has an amazing cheese flavor; if you're a cheese lover, this is a must-visit place! The prices are reasonably high, but you get to truly enjoy the cheese. The interior is clean and stylish. They also have meat and pasta, and the other menu items are appealing as well. The desserts are stylish and delicious!

I unexpectedly found myself with some time to kill alone, so I decided to look for a delicious restaurant in Ikebukuro that I hadn't been to before. I have a personal bias that there are no misses with restaurants located underground, so I chose an Italian place in the basement. Since I wasn't very hungry, I ordered carpaccio and ajo blanco (garlic shrimp). Both dishes were absolutely amazing and made me crave them again, so I definitely want to come back! I visited a great cheese shop located near the road to Sunshine in Ikebukuro. It's on the basement floor of a building. The interior is fairly spacious and has a clean appearance. As soon as I walked in, I was surrounded by the rich aroma of cheese, which made me very hungry. All the dishes I ordered were delicious!

I enjoyed melted raclette cheese and cheese fondue right in front of me, along with keema curry, Caesar salad, grilled zaftun, and finally, a brûléed cheesecake that was torched at my table. I have the impression that Italian portions are usually slightly larger, but even for single dishes, the prices are quite high, and I felt the servings were a bit small. I was really looking forward to the raclette featured on the website. I expected to see melted cheese flowing when using a knife, but there wasn’t much cheese that had melted, and instead, I had to cut and pour the cheese on with the knife. The reason I chose this place was to enjoy the cheese. If it’s a signature dish, I think it needs some more creativity or improvement.
