I went to "Ganeshm" in Kitahama, Osaka and tried the ai-gake curry with spiced flavored egg topping. At first, the portion looked normal, but when I started eating, I realized there was a lot of food! I thought I could finish it easily, but towards the end, it became too much for me to handle. The women dining there all seemed to order smaller portions. The curry wasn't extremely spicy, but I couldn't stop sweating! However, it was delicious. I usually couldn't visit due to timing or long lines, but this time I lined up before the opening and it was worth it!

The restaurant is on the second floor, with a different Indian restaurant on the first floor. On a Sunday after 1 PM, there was no wait to be seated. The service was polite, with a male cook visible in the back. The curry had a punch to it and was satisfying to eat. Each bite had a different taste, with a strong presence of spices. It had potatoes in it, and there was a homemade curry-like aspect to it. Overall, it was enjoyable and made the curry experience interesting.

The timing didn't quite work out, so I decided to go in without waiting. It was my first visit after waiting for 2 years. The curry, which seemed to have been carefully prepared, had a unique taste and was very delicious. I think it's something you can't easily find in the Kanto region. I will definitely come back.

The curry at this restaurant is unbelievably delicious. The vegetable curry with lentils is bursting with umami from the dashi broth, followed by a burst of fragrant spices. The shrimp curry is simple yet high-quality, with chunks of shrimp and a perfect pairing with the firm rice. The addition of bonito flakes adds a uniquely Japanese touch that enhances the overall flavor. This place is a knockout in terms of taste.

Delicious! The combination of daal and keema is tasty. The daal is surprisingly spicy and delicious! I might like the daal here, but it seems like there are fewer vegetables as toppings compared to before. The curry is still delicious though. It's a shame that this place is only open occasionally.

I visited the restaurant right after it opened. The interior had a foreign atmosphere. When I saw the menu, I couldn't decide which flavor to try, so I ended up ordering both. The first bite was spicy! But delicious! But spicy! I'm not good with spicy food, so my stomach felt hot all day. I read other reviews and it seems like Fridays are especially spicy, so next time I want to visit on a different day.

Spice Chicken Curry for 1100 yen. In this area, there are many spice curries to choose from. I've tried various ones, but this spice curry is very light. It's a curry that makes your body happy, almost like a guilt-free meal. You can easily drink it down like a salad. However, the spices are strong, and by the end of the meal, you'll start to sweat a bit. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Osaka Kitahama [#Ganeshm] ☑️ Aigake Curry ☑️ Large portion ☑️ Spicy egg
Still delicious as always, right? This time, I had the veggie and spicy pork with beans and vegetables. Gotta have that egg on top for sure. It's sad when it's all gone. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on a Friday. I didn't know that Fridays are for spicy curry, so I visited without knowing. When I arrived in the early afternoon, it was almost full and they were sold out by 1 pm. I ordered and paid later. Cash and PayPay are accepted.
- Mixed Plate 1100 yen: Thai-style spicy shrimp red curry. The flavor was strong and more intense than spicy, which I found a bit too much, but the shrimp and spicy curry were delicious. If it was a bit milder, it would have been even better.
- Thai-style spicy chicken green curry: Easy to eat with no strong flavors. It was not too spicy and easy to enjoy. Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't find the Nepalese restaurant-like place on the 2nd floor, it was quite hidden. Maybe it's a curry battleground? The small and cute shop had a limited menu with two daily specials and a side dish, but that was enough for me. I had chicken curry and vegetable keema, I think. It was thick and filling. The vegetables were cooked just right, with a nice texture. The green sauce was spicy, probably some kind of chili sauce. I enjoyed it, but if you don't like spicy food, it's better to let them know in advance.

It's been a while since I had the chance to visit Ganesha M. I was looking forward to their Friday special Thai curry. The curry of the day was a spicy green curry with locally sourced Toba oysters and a spicy red curry with firefly squid. I asked for a combination of both with fragrant jasmine rice. The dishes arrived promptly and looked appetizing. I tried the green curry first and it was spicy but delicious. The red curry was also spicy and had a generous amount of toppings like daikon radish that complemented the coconut well. Although there were only a few firefly squids, the oysters were plump and enjoyable. As always, the curry had a generous amount of sauce to savor while eating. It was a satisfying meal.

When I checked Instagram, Maton Kimah was on, so I had lunch at Ganeshm. When I'm feeling unwell or hungover, the heavily spiced Ganeshm curry is the best. The flavor of the mutton and the fragrant spices combine, making me feel like I can recover quickly. Today, I also topped it with spicy flavored egg. The cherry blossoms in the back are already starting to fall. The cherry blossoms are almost over.

*Spicy shrimp curry & lentil vegetable curry ¥1200
The curry was piled up to the brim, almost spilling over when the plate was tilted. I've tried various curries before, but this place has the most generous portion! Even with a small rice portion, it's perfect for women. The shrimp had been peeled, so the curry was infused with the rich flavor of the shrimp. The large shrimp added a nice crunch to the dish! The lentil curry had chunks of potatoes and carrots, similar to home-cooked curry, but with a completely different taste due to the spice curry. The side dish on top of the rice was refreshing and helped balance out the spiciness, especially the bonito flakes-like topping, which was incredibly delicious! I could really taste the inosinic acid (a flavor component in bonito flakes). I still love spice curry♡

I entered the restaurant right at 12 o'clock for lunch, and it was just full. The timing was perfect. There was a partition separating the seats, and the space was comfortable for eating, which was great. Ganesha in Osaka Tenmangu Shrine is my personal number one curry restaurant in Osaka. So, my expectations for this place are high. The ordering system is different here compared to Ganesha in Tenmangu Shrine. This restaurant follows the common style where you choose between two types of curry or select two options as a combo. I ordered the "Oyster & Lentil Bean Vegetable Curry." It took less than 15 minutes for the curry to arrive after ordering. The presentation of the curry was beautiful... my expectations were rising to the level of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine... Now, I took a bite of the well-shaped oyster. "..." Unfortunately, it still had a lingering smell... The curry itself was spicy, but lacked originality and a memorable taste. The vegetable curry was gentle but lacked excitement. The sprinkle of bonito flakes added a playful touch, which was interesting. The lemon didn't really complement the curry, so I felt it was unnecessary. The rice was not basmati rice, which is different from the restaurants in Osaka Tenmangu Shrine.

It had been a long time since my last visit. I always imagine it being crowded, so I tend to avoid it. I went around 1 PM this time, and surprisingly there was no line, so I got seated right away. I ordered the spicy oyster green curry this time. I had chosen a spicy dish before, so I thought it was good timing. The options were:
- Spicy oyster green curry for 1,300 yen
- Spicy oyster red curry for 1,300 yen
- Combination of both for 1,400 yen
I opted for the combination, prepared for the spiciness! When I asked the staff if it was spicy, they said it might be for those who don't like spicy food, but everyone seems to eat it just fine! The curry at Ganesha is really delicious! To be honest, it was extremely spicy, but the flavor itself was really good. Personally, I prefer the green curry. It was so spicy that I ended up drinking almost all of my water. The portion was a bit large, and combined with the spiciness, I couldn't finish it all. It seemed like they could make it with less spice. Men might appreciate that. I definitely want to try the regular spiced curry next time!

There is a store on the second floor that you might accidentally overlook. The spices are just right and add a nice touch. Payment is cash only. There is another store in the same chain called "Ganesh n" on the approach to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, and it always has a long line of people.

Osaka is a famous curry restaurant in Kitahama. In 2019-20, it was one of the top 100 curry restaurants. They mainly serve spice curry, but on Fridays, they only serve Thai curry, which is a special arrangement. I happened to visit on a Friday. Well, that's okay. Some customers left upon finding out that only Thai curry was available. I can understand if they were specifically looking for spice curry. It's quite unique for a restaurant with limited opening days to have such special arrangements. The menu includes Oyster Green Curry and Firefly Squid Red Curry, which can also be served together. All for 1300 yen. I'm not a fan of firefly squid, so I opted for the green curry only. Oh, it looks beautiful. The oysters are plump and not falling apart, very delicious. Green curry goes well with seafood. The interior of the restaurant has a cafe-like or subculture vibe. The staff also have a similar appearance. The condiments include sweet and spicy simmered small shrimp and achar in the middle. I was worried about the spiciness, but it wasn't too overpowering, and it had a nice kick without being too harsh. It was a good experience. I'll come back on a day other than Friday next time.

After arriving in Osaka and heading to eat some spice curry at Kashmir around 2 pm, the line was so long that I decided to go to Ganesh instead. Luckily, there was no wait there! I had a spice chicken curry and lentil vegetable curry side by side. It's been a while since I had Osaka spice curry, and it really hit the spot. I realized how much I love it. The lentils were smooth and the chicken was nice and hot. I'm satisfied!

I've always wanted to go to Ganesh-san! It was a very cold Sunday, but there were about 5 people waiting in line before the store opened! When you go up the stairs, the interior is very calming. I had the spiced oyster curry and lentil and vegetable curry with a spicy egg topping. It was truly amazing... the deep umami flavor of the spicy curry and the deliciousness of the plump oysters with the bonito flakes topping! The lentil and vegetable curry had a comforting and gentle flavor. Both were incredibly delicious, with the crunchy texture of cut vegetables like onions adding to the enjoyment of the taste. The spiced egg was perfectly soft and the sweetness spread with each bite! The cold weather also added to the perfect deliciousness for winter. It was a perfect meal, thank you!

I had been curious about Ganesh-san's curry shop in Kitahama for a while. They offer two types of curry for 1250 yen, with the option to mix them together. What a happy surprise! The curry with plenty of oysters is quite spicy and delicious, while the mildness of the bean and vegetable curry balances it out perfectly. The presentation of the curry here is also beautiful and enjoyable to look at. Thank you for the delicious meal!
