We have reopened for business. Today is the day of the Hakodate fireworks festival, so we have a special festival plan with discounted draft beer and tables and chairs set up outside for a better view of the fireworks. The fireworks festival will continue until the 5th. I had three salt and sauce pork skewers, edamame, and chicken long tea. The size of the pork skewers was a bit small, but the taste of both the sauce and salt was delicious. Unfortunately, I couldn't have the draft beer. The edamame was just right in saltiness and not too cold, which was good. The salmon onigiri was also small in size but tasty, so I was satisfied. I felt like I didn't have enough food, so I added a hot dog, which had a better texture and tasted better than the ones sold at convenience stores.

I went to the restaurant in the sports club after my workout and bath. They had Nagasaki Chanpon as the recommended menu this month, which I wanted to try, so I decided to go in. It had been a while since I last had Chanpon, but the soup, ingredients (shrimp, vegetables, pork, etc.), and noodles were all very delicious. The noodles were soft and seemed to have absorbed the flavors well. The price was less than 600 yen including tax, which was quite affordable. The portion was just right for an adult, and I left feeling satisfied.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the operating hours are from 11:00 to 18:00. The taste and selection of sushi are average. Surprisingly, the staff is friendly. They do not serve soba-yu as they are not a soba restaurant.

Tonight's hotel does not have a large public bath (>人<;) So, while going out, I searched for day trip hot springs around Hakodate! (laughs) The internet is so convenient nowadays. Guided by information that the female satisfaction rating is ☆5 and that they have introduced highly concentrated carbonated springs for the first time in southern Hokkaido! Well, you can't always trust internet information (laughs). It may have been over 30 years since it opened. A local relaxation hot spring for the people. It's like a radon center from a couple of decades ago. The second-floor restaurant corner has tables and chairs on tatami mats! A restaurant that caters to the elderly. We had miso ramen, tororo udon, and tsukimi soba. Actually, Jessica (my wife) thinks that the miso ramen here is the simplest and most delicious (laughs). It is indeed delicious (laughs). In the food and beverage industry, there is often a demand for novelty and change. And the restaurant owners try their best to meet those expectations (≧∇≦) This might be the kind of miso ramen that people from the mainland really want to eat! Simple is best! A natural hot spring facility where you can relax all day, not just in between busy travel schedules! Keep up the good work. (laughs)

The location is the "Former Spa Beach," which is easily understood by locals, right? The pool and accommodation business closed a while ago, and now it has become a facility for day trips with open-air baths overlooking Hakodate Bay and fitness. The access by JR is good, so if you use public transportation, it is convenient to use Hakodate buses (101, 11, 81 series, etc.). I used to go to the hot springs occasionally, but this was my first time at the restaurant here! I was surprised to see the words "All-you-can-eat rice with set meals" on the table. It's a delight!! So, this time, I only ordered a set meal. The prices are reasonably reasonable, and the meal is served in a banquet hall with a stage, which is common in hot spring inns. The large TV looks small (^_^;) The cutlets were thick and tasty for the price. I also ordered the fried chicken set meal, which tasted exactly like the taste of a major manufacturer's fried chicken powder. Given the location, it seems to be able to accommodate a large number of people, and banquet plans are also available. It is located along the national highway with plenty of parking spaces. The quality of the hot springs is high, and you can relax with manga books available. In addition, there is a barber shop, juice, light meal corner, and souvenir corner on the first floor. Update on July 12, 2014: The one-coin lunch is also quite delicious♪ However, the interior is hot because the air conditioning is not working, with only the windows open.

This place is a facility for hot springs and fitness, but even if you only come for a meal, you can enter the building. There is a restaurant on the second floor. You have to take off your shoes when entering the building. The rooms have tatami mats and are very spacious. There are table seats and rooms where you can sit directly on the tatami mats. The menu is very extensive and the cost performance seems good. I ordered the zaru soba, which is made from 100% buckwheat, something I hadn't eaten much before and was curious about. It was around 11:30 am, but the restaurant was almost full, everyone eats early here. It was quite crowded, so I had to wait about 15 minutes for the soba to arrive. The portion was sufficient for me, but it might be small for someone with a normal appetite. The soba noodles were thick and had a substantial texture. It was served with green onions and wasabi, and the dipping sauce was quite salty. The soba noodles had a good chewy texture, so it took me some time to eat, but it was delicious.
