This shop does not have a parking lot, and it is quite far from the station, making it difficult to visit. I arrived around 12:50 on a weekday and there were no other customers. Maybe they hadn't had any customers yet that day? The front sign recommended the Katsu Ramen, so I ordered it without hesitation for 800 yen. My companion ordered the Char Ramen for 650 yen. Isn't that quite affordable? The Katsu Ramen was delicious, with a depth of flavor from the katsu oil. The portion size was quite generous, maybe because of the katsu. The couple running the shop, the father in the kitchen and the mother in the front, were very friendly. When we ordered, they gave us milk chocolates wrapped in nostalgic candy-like paper, two for each of us. When we were delighted, they even gave us an extra one (laughs). We had a brief conversation and they mentioned that they don't advertise because they don't have a parking lot, so they operate quietly. It was heartwarming. I would love to go back if they had a parking lot, but it might be difficult to revisit due to the high hurdle. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

When it gets hot, my symptoms worsen, as I have a designated rare disease (specific illness) by the government. Unfortunately, there is still no medicine to cure my rare disease. Administering "blood products" for 5 consecutive days temporarily improves symptoms, but there must be several weeks between administrations. Also, after receiving "blood products," vaccination such as COVID-19 vaccine is not allowed for a month. Last year, I was hospitalized five times for rare disease treatment. I had my first hospitalization of 2022 in January, and I was discharged safely today. Your supportive comments are always a source of encouragement during my hospital stays. I am truly grateful. Due to my hospitalization, comments and likes may be delayed, but I will definitely respond. I plan to mainly upload past reviews that have not been reviewed yet. New visits will be limited depending on my health condition. "Ramen Hau Utsu / Kanayama no Mise" is a ramen eatery that exudes a Showa-era vibe. It is a place where you can find the nearly endangered "Katsu Ramen." I visited for lunch for the first time with my usual companion. The shop is located along Ishiyama Street in the Minami 33-jo area of Sapporo City. Please check the exact location of the shop on Tabelog. I visited around 12:30 on a weekday. There were four customers before us and no customers after us. The interior of the shop has a counter seat on a raised platform. I sat at the empty counter seat. I ordered the "Katsu Ramen 800 yen," and my companion ordered the "Gomoku Ramen 700 yen." While waiting, we were served four chocolates as a bonus. The shop has a strong homely feel, reminiscent of the Showa era. After a 13-minute wait, our two ramen dishes arrived. ■ Katsu Ramen Noodles: Noodles with a gentle texture that evoke the Showa era. The noodles have an old-fashioned feel and are not too hard. Soup: A light soy sauce-based soup that has been around since the old days. The saltiness is just right. Ingredients: Freshly fried hot tonkatsu with minimal fat, probably loin Bean sprouts The soup's umami is infused in the ingredients. Green onion Price: 800 yen (tax included) ■ Gomoku Ramen Noodles: Same as above Soup: Salt-based soup that is simple but brings out the umami of the ingredients. The saltiness is just right. Ingredients: Quail egg Young corn Chinese cabbage Carrot Wood ear mushroom Spinach, etc. Price: 700 yen (tax included) Truly a place that evokes the Showa era. The ramen is simple but comforting. The "Katsu Ramen" with freshly fried large cutlet is especially delightful. The handmade cutlet is a joy to eat. The bonus chocolates were a nice touch as well. The conversation with the shop's obasan and my usual companion was entertaining those around us. It's a warm and welcoming ramen eatery that embodies the essence of a neighborhood diner. The actual score is 3.8 stars, but I gave it 4.0 stars as it's a type of Showa-era eatery that I love. Next time, I might try the recommended "Ebi Fry Teishoku 900 yen," which looks delicious. Thank you for the delicious meal.

When you order bottled beer here, they serve it in a chilled glass wrapped in a napkin. The beer itself is nicely chilled too. I usually drink beer at night and avoid carbs, so I ordered the vegetable stir-fry set meal (650 yen) without rice or miso soup, but with extra vegetable stir-fry. They brought me a huge bowl filled with stir-fried vegetables - bean sprouts, cabbage, carrots, eggplant, pork, and more. The seasoning was perfect and it paired well with the beer. It was so delicious that I could eat it endlessly. Highly recommended for those who need more vegetables. The cost performance of this dish is amazing. I became a regular customer, visiting about twice a month just to satisfy my craving for this vegetable stir-fry. One time, my companion ordered the hormone stir-fry set meal, which was also delicious with its sweet and savory miso flavor. It goes really well with rice and beer. Highly recommended.

On a certain weekday, I visited a ramen shop located in Minami-ku, Minami 33-jo Nishi 11-chome, considering various options due to the season. Please ask the owner for parking. The interior consists of a traditional counter with 5 seats and two tables with tatami-style mats. The background music playing is a wide show program. Looking at the menu, I noticed there were surprisingly many set meals and some special items, which got me excited. I decided to try the "Katsu Ramen (800 yen)". While waiting, the mother of the owner gave me some chocolate, which was a small act of kindness that touched my heart. Now, taking a bite... The noodles are thin, yellow, medium-thick wavy noodles with a chewy texture. The soup is not overpowering; it's a light soy-based soup with a chicken base, perhaps? There seems to be very little oil on the surface, which makes it easy for even elderly customers to enjoy. I think those who like this type of soup will appreciate it. As for the katsu, wow! It's actually thinly sliced pork loin layered like a mille-feuille! The unique texture and flavor from the breadcrumbs add a nice touch. I also noticed bean sprouts, green onions, bamboo shoots, and white sesame seeds in the bowl. Sometimes, a soup like this is a nice change of pace. Thank you for the meal.

I dropped by during my lunch break. The interior of the restaurant had a Showa-era vibe, with regular customers enjoying hearty meat dishes. It felt like a nostalgic diner. I heard that the ramen here is quite filling, so I ordered it without hesitation. The ramen was piping hot and generously portioned! It was a bit warm that day, and I was sweating a lot. The owner poured me a refill of water, saying "It's hot, isn't it?" It's a cozy little place that makes you feel warm inside!

In the second day of the consecutive holidays, I was disappointed to find out that the longstanding ramen shop I remembered was no longer there. It made me realize the importance of exploring the old-fashioned places and not just focusing on new ones. So, I decided to visit a ramen shop located on a corner along Ishiyama Street that I had been curious about for a while. The owner greeted me enthusiastically as I entered the shop, which was unexpected but welcoming. I tried their classic soy sauce ramen, which had a perfect balance of garlic, crunchy stir-fried vegetables, hot soup, and medium-thick noodles. The thinly sliced pork char siu was surprisingly delicious. After trying two different ramen shops in a row, I concluded that it's important to not overlook the traditional ramen shops before exploring new ones. However, I still can't help but be curious about new places. Next time, I'll try their five-flavor ramen or old-fashioned ramen.

I've been curious about this shop for a while. I came near a bank, so I decided to go in. The entrance has noticeable menus posted. The menu includes "La Ramen Sanmi" for 600 yen. There are also options like Gyoza Ramen and Katsu Ramen. There are quite a variety of set meals available as well. There are also some great value set menus. I was interested in the A set with fish fry and hamburger. However, I ended up ordering the Yakisoba (soy sauce flavor) for 600 yen. It comes with soup. The ingredients include Chinese cabbage, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, green peppers, bamboo shoots, and chopped chashu. It's more like soy sauce flavored abura soba than soy sauce flavored yakisoba. The seasoning is good, and the chashu is really delicious!! The noodles seem to be medium thick and chewy. The soup includes seaweed, white sesame, and chopped green onions. It's hot, well-seasoned, and delicious. When I was taking photos, the lady asked, "What are you doing?" So I told her that I was writing a blog and that I came here because I read about this place on another blog. She was impressed and said, "It's the times, huh." When you visit, please let them know that you found out about the place through a blog. They will probably be surprised. Next time, I want to try the chashu noodles because the chashu was so tasty. Rating: 26.4 out of 5.

Located just a few kilometers away from Chuo Ward, "Ramen House" is situated on Ishiyama Street, with a Seven Eleven store across the road and "Ramen Shofuku" nearby. On January 27, 2014, at noon, I visited this restaurant as part of my quest to conquer all ramen shops in Minami Ward. Unfortunately, this restaurant does not have a parking lot, and there are no nearby coin parking facilities or large commercial centers, so it's not recommended to visit by car. Upon entering, I noticed that there were no other customers present. The owner and his wife were working diligently in the kitchen, displaying a heartwarming teamwork. I ordered the "Gyoza Ramen," the second item listed on the menu, expecting it to be a decisive dish. The waiting time was about 12 minutes. The soup had a clear and light soy sauce base with a distinct garlic flavor that lingered with a bitter aftertaste. The noodles were average in taste and slightly excessive in quantity. The gyoza, while freshly made and hot, seemed to have an excessive amount of cooking sake, overpowering the dish. Overall, the experience at "Ramen House Kanayama" was underwhelming, and it felt like a typical diner-style ramen lacking in sophistication. The wide menu variety may come at the cost of compromising on quality in terms of preparation and ingredient management. In comparison to dedicated ramen shops, diner-style establishments may face disadvantages in terms of effort, time, and resources.

There is a orthopedic clinic nearby. I walked there from the hospital when I went to visit someone. There is almost no parking available. Although there is a sign for ramen outside, the atmosphere inside is like a cafeteria that also serves ramen. They also have counter seats. There were six of us, so we all ordered ramen according to our preferences - miso, salt, and soy sauce. The ramen we had was like the old-fashioned ramen you would eat at a cafeteria. It looked and tasted just like I imagined. It made me think, "Oh, this is how ramen used to be back in the day."
