"Waltz," a steak bistro located in Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, has recently celebrated its six-month anniversary with an "Unlimited Festival," offering a 90-minute all-you-can-eat hamburger, organic vegetables, and other sides for a remarkably low price of 1,800 yen! This is a great deal, considering that a regular meal would cost about the same, so you can easily get your money's worth! The bistro is conveniently located along National Route 200, with ample parking available. I visited on a weekend around 6 PM and found the place fairly busy, with three other groups dining. The atmosphere inside is quiet and pleasant, creating a comfortable space to enjoy your meal. Although the staff were inexperienced, they provided friendly and attentive service, which was commendable. Inside, there are about eight four-person tables with generous spacing between them, giving a semi-private feel. However, there are no counter seats, which might make it difficult for solo diners during busy times. For the six-month anniversary, the Waltz Unlimited Fair offers a 90-minute all-you-can-eat deal for 1,800 yen, with discounts available for seniors (400 yen off), half price for elementary school students, and free for preschoolers. The system requires the entire group to order together, and if there are leftovers, a fee of 1,000 yen is charged for take-out. The meal starts with a platter, after which you can move on to the buffet. You can order up to three types of dishes for two people each time. The first round featured a grilled hamburger, fried chicken, organic vegetable salad, soup, and fried potatoes. The hamburgers are handmade from 100% domestic beef, with a low-fat content that doesn’t compromise on flavor. It feels great not having to worry about presentation when the taste is so satisfying! Each burger is about 150 grams, and you can order a half-size version. Various sauces are available, including demi-glace, Japanese-style sauce, and ponzu with grated daikon. Personally, I preferred the Japanese-style sauce, but the hamburger is delicious even without any sauce! The organic salad is made with high-quality organic vegetables from Oita Prefecture, and it’s fantastic to know that it’s part of the all-you-can-eat offering, unlike typical salad bars. Other menu items were delicious but varied in preference. Here’s a brief rating system: ○ Must-order △ Recommended if you like ✖ Don’t order - Fried chicken: △ - Napolitan spaghetti: ○ - Fried potatoes: △ - Grilled offal: ○ - Sausages: △ - Corn salad: △ - Soup: ✖ - Chicken nanban: ○ - Fried egg: ○ - Potato salad: △ Overall, the food was above average even for an all-you-can-eat. While the hamburgers may taste somewhat pre-prepared compared to single orders, the price makes it understandable. Plus, with the salad and the handmade domestic beef hamburger, you can enjoy a healthy meal that won't make you worry about gaining weight even after eating your fill. The billing process is straightforward — there's no cover charge or mandatory drinks, ensuring a transparent and safe dining experience. I highly recommend this bistro to anyone looking for delicious steak and hamburgers with fresh vegetables at a reasonable price!

Before 8:00 PM after returning from the hot spring, I visited a Western-style restaurant in the Iizuka area where I had previously enjoyed a meal. I noticed it was much livelier than my last visit, which was surprisingly quiet at that time. It turns out they were having an all-you-can-eat promotion to celebrate their six-month anniversary. For 1,800 yen, guests could enjoy unlimited servings of hamburgers, fried chicken, grilled offal, salads, and more. While that sounded appealing, I was in the mood for roast beef, so I decided to go with à la carte options. My order included: - Roast Beef 1,200 yen - Chicken Nanban 900 yen - Baguette with half-boiled egg potato salad 500 yen - Braised Beef Tendons 650 yen - Homemade Ginger Ale - Mojito with plenty of mint leaves Unfortunately, it took a while to receive each dish, likely due to the large number of customers. The drinks took especially long as I could see the bartender preparing them, and they weren't mixed just before serving, resulting in the ice melting and leaving the syrup at the bottom. I could have mixed it myself, but it was a bit inconvenient. The potato salad seemed not homemade but rather straight from a commercial package—it had large chunks of potato but lacked flavor. Maybe they offered this kind of salad since they had the all-you-can-eat option. On the bright side, the roast beef was moist and chewy, tender enough to enjoy with just salt, and it had a delightful beef flavor. Eating it on a baguette was also a great choice. The chicken nanban was hearty and, just like before, had a sweet vinegar sauce and generous amounts of tartar sauce that went well with rice. I particularly want to highlight the limited-quantity braised beef tendons. It was packed with more than ten satisfying pieces of beef tendon, cooked to perfection and incredibly tender! There were also two large pieces of konnyaku, one boiled egg, and radish in the dish. It was lightly flavored, reminiscent of gathering only my favorite items from oden. It felt like a good deal; I could easily eat two bowls of rice with just this dish! Since the all-you-can-eat promotion had just started, it was quite crowded, with some groups being loud and lively. I actually preferred the quieter atmosphere of my previous visit. Nonetheless, I hope the restaurant continues to thrive and gain more fans. Thank you for the meal! ( ^人^ )

I went out for dinner near Iizuka City after seeing great comments from my followers. I visited a fresh restaurant that has only been open for about two months. While it’s named a steakhouse, they also cover a variety of dishes including pork cutlets, chicken dishes, minced meat options, and even spring rolls with roast beef and banh mi sandwiches. The menu had so many choices that it was hard to decide! I went for the must-try steak and ordered the diced steak (150g for 1,750 yen), chicken nanban (900 yen), and Scotch egg (900 yen), along with a rice and salad set for an additional 400 yen. I also added a craft beer of the day for 700 yen and homemade ginger ale for 550 yen. My salad and soup arrived in about three minutes, followed by the steak in about five minutes, then the chicken nanban, and finally the Scotch egg. Even though everything was served quickly, all the dishes were delicious. The diced steak was served semi-rare and was juicy. The accompanying vegetables had a homemade feel rather than being frozen. The generous portion of chicken nanban was made with thigh meat, perfectly cooked to a slight pink, with a fluffy coating and meat juice oozing from the chicken. Paired with coarse tartar sauce and sweet vinegar, it was heavenly with the beer and paired perfectly with rice! The Scotch egg was served hot, and despite its crispy outer layer, the egg inside was soft-boiled. The dense minced meat patty and the runny yolk created a delightful harmony. It also made for a fantastic snack! The craft beer of the day had a citrusy aroma and a light taste that beautifully complemented the richness of the meats. The ginger ale seemed to be made from a homemade syrup with a spicy kick and a strong ginger aroma; it felt very authentic. Surprisingly, even though the ambience was classy with jazz playing in the background, I was amazed by the extremely generous portion of rice, which was truly large! The chicken nanban alone could easily serve two people based on its heft! I visited around 7:30 PM, and while it was mostly empty at that time, there were about ten groups on the waiting list, so it seems there can be a wait. Though it’s located in a place not frequented by many from outside the city, it stays open until after 9 PM, and the service was fast, the food delicious, and the price reasonable. I really want to support this restaurant. Thank you for the meal! (^^)

I visited a steak bistro that opened in May and had been curious about since it looked promising. I checked their social media and even got a flyer. It's located on the same street as the bakery "La Bled," which I previously posted about, right across from a large supermarket. You can enter the parking lot from the side of Nagasaki Highway, which runs parallel to that street. The interior has a bright and stylish atmosphere with table seating and a spacious raised kotatsu area. You can choose the cut and size of the steak, and there are various other options like hamburgers, Scotch eggs, and chicken Nanban. - **Pork Cutlet Set (950 yen)**: 150g of Kagoshima-bred white pork loin, with soup, salad, and rice. You can get a large serving of rice for free. This is what the staff recommended, and it was advertised on social media as a limited dish with only five servings, but the board at the restaurant said ten. While Kagoshima is known for its "black pork," this one is "white pork." The cutlet was quite thick, very filling, and had a satisfying crunch from the batter, along with a rich flavor of the meat. The fat was not overly trimmed off, which is usually undesirable, but here it added a sweet taste that complemented the delicious meat. The frying was done perfectly, so it didn't feel heavy at all, which I appreciated. The homemade sauce was fruity and matched well with the tonkatsu. The corn cream soup was creamy and enjoyable, and the rice was delicious too. - **Domestic 100% Hand-kneaded Hamburger (Single, 900 yen)**: 150g hamburger served with salad, soup, and rice. There’s a double 300g option and combos with steak or shrimp. The sauce can be chosen between demi-glace or Japanese-style, and I selected Japanese. It uses organic produce from Oita, and the slightly bitter green salad was fresh. The hamburger was soft, but not the trendy "drinkable" type; it had the perfect texture. It had a gentle flavor but still packed a juicy, meaty taste. The Japanese-style sauce was tasty, making me curious about the demi-glace option. The side of glazed carrots was also tender and delicious; it had been a while since I had them. The young staff were very friendly and polite, providing excellent service. I'm already looking forward to trying other menu items at this recommended restaurant, which made for a very satisfying lunch.
