After shopping at the market, I had pistachio ice cream! The salty flavor is amazingly delicious ^-^ Also, the waffle cone here is exceptional. The sweet smell of the waffle is exquisite!! I don't usually eat ice cream, but occasionally indulging in delicious ice cream like this makes me hooked! There were also various other flavors that caught my interest. Thank you for the meal ★

I couldn't find SCOOP, so I'll just write it here. The owner is probably the same. I stop by on my way back from the newly opened Hokkai Market across the street. The Basil Lemongrass Coconut Milk might be a hit or miss due to its unique taste. The Valrhona Guanaja 70% is just chocolate, but it was delicious.

The beginning of autumn, with the lingering summer heat, I visited to refresh my slightly hungover body. The store is located across the road from the commercial facility in Sambashi area, with parking available. I love the Salty Pistachio flavor. It's rich in flavor and aroma. The subtle saltiness enhances the sweetness. The handmade waffle cone is also delicious. The store also sells seasonal vegetables, and the foreign staff is friendly. Overall, it's a great place.

I learned about this place from a review by Mairevi-san. I can't believe there is such a stylish market here! It was a bit chilly and rainy that day. There were no vegetables on display, but chatting with the handsome German shop owner was fun. The items on display were beer and ice cream. I was there for the ice cream, so I ordered the Salty Pistachio and Praline Deluxe flavors. Both are made with nuts – I was told with a laugh! The pistachio and almond ice creams were elegant and really brought out the flavors of the ingredients. The ice cream here is delicious! By now, the vegetables that caught the shop owner's eye must be on display. I heard there was a line at the register – maybe because of the long chat with the shop owner? I have to go back again! It was delicious – thank you for the meal.

I found out about this place from a review by Mairevi-san. I don't come here often, but it was quite spacious. On the day I visited, there were no vegetables, but there were lots of pretzel-like breads made in Germany and carbonated drinks similar to ginger ale also from Germany. The original goods were cute too! Mr. Marcus explained everything with a smile, and just looking at the cute accessories made me excited. I hesitated, but ended up getting bread and gelato. I got a double scoop of Madagascar vanilla and added salty pistachio for an extra 30 yen. It was rich! The pistachio was also rich and the salty flavor was just right, I thought it was delicious. I wonder if the recommended items change each time you visit? It seems like you can enjoy it no matter how many times you go. The open atmosphere without a door is nice, and the vibe is good too. It seems nice to sit outside on the terrace and eat and drink. I definitely want to go again! Thank you for the meal!

Gelato ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و I visited Meimaru Market, which is only open on Saturdays and located nearby. When I went, most of the vegetables were already sold out, but they were selling gelato. I decided to try the Salty Pistachio flavor, which had a nice salty kick to it. You could choose between a cone or cup, and I chose the cup. I love pistachios, but I was glad that the saltiness wasn't too strong. It was a quick and satisfying treat before work, and it helped me get through my 18-hour shift. Thank you for the meal!

I checked the schedule for this year's market and found out that it will be held every Saturday starting tomorrow. I rode my electric bicycle there today, even though the weather was a bit rainy and cold. When I arrived, about 15 minutes after opening, there was already a long line and the vegetables and deli items were in short supply. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, so I'm looking forward to next week! I also visited the market on the second Saturday, and the weather was sunny. My favorite bakery, "Pause Pan," had a great display of various breads that were easy to pick up in big bags. I think they would sell even more if they offered samples. I also noticed that there is a Yamaha store near the Mei Market building, which adds to the excitement of the market. The TV was playing again, just like last time. Overall, it was a delightful market experience. Thank you!

The computer broke down, but some of the data was recovered. Finally, some photos can be uploaded. It is highly likely that the computer was infected with a virus during the earthquake on September 6th. I may not be able to post reviews for a while, but this is not due to hospitalization. I will gradually like and comment as I am able.
"Mei Marche" is a store that operates every Saturday from early summer to autumn. It is a market that supports Hokkaido agricultural producers, organized by a person from Germany. I learned about this store from a review by "Harahide" on My Follow. I finally visited the store this year, which I had known about before taking a break from Tabelog.
"Mei Marche" operated from June 30th to October 13th in 2018, only on Saturdays. The store was open for only 2 hours and 15 minutes from 10:30 am to 12:45 pm each week. The operating hours were short, totaling about 10 hours in a month. The 2018 operation ended on October 13th for the year.
The store is located in the Yamahana area of Chuo Ward, Sapporo, near Sapporo Kashiwa Junior High School. Please check the exact location of the store on Tabelog. Vegetable producers sell vegetables they have grown themselves. They also sell food products under the Mei Marche brand. I bought unusual and fresh vegetables at a good price.
Vegetables purchased:
- Garlic sprouts in July: 150 yen (tax included)
- Nasturtium in July: 150 yen (tax included)
- Bamboo shoots: 200 yen (tax included)
- Cabbage: 200 yen (tax included)
- Italian parsley: 180 yen (tax included)
- Purple paprika: 120 yen (tax included)
- Strawberries from Okada Farm in October: 300 yen (tax included)
- Broccoli: 180 yen (tax included)
- Red potatoes: 200 yen (tax included)
It is very pleasing to be able to buy fresh vegetables directly from the producers. Since they are freshly picked, the vegetables are all fresh. You can also buy unusual vegetables that are not sold in supermarkets or greengrocers. As October arrives, Hokkaido is about to enter the long winter tunnel. It is the season when local vegetables are no longer available. I am looking forward to the reopening next year. I hope "Mei Marche" will continue for a long time.
A drawback of "Mei Marche" is that there is no toilet. The second time, I visited after using the toilet elsewhere. I think it would be easier for people from distant places to visit if a toilet is installed. Next time will have to wait until next year. Thank you for the delicious meal.

On a nice Saturday morning in September 2019, I felt like something was missing, and then it hit me - a market! I went during a less crowded time and was able to find the vegetables I wanted. I thought about getting some ice cream, but decided to save it for next week. The vegetables were so fresh and there were still some side dishes left. I'll save those for next week too. Thank you for the delicious food! (^^♪

Every year, I purchase fresh vegetables at the Meimarushie market! As the season for fresh green vegetables comes to an end, lettuce and broccoli that last longer and taste delicious are available. I happened to meet a farmer named Sogai who I really liked. He remembered me and my three friends visiting his fields in Setana. The tomatoes are truly delicious! Meimarushie focuses on various farmers in Hokkaido. We went late, so there were no pizzas available (only the expensive ones). Remember, when eating meat, make sure to have at least twice as many vegetables. Thank you for the delicious meal!

In the morning of September 2018, I felt lazy to go to the store on my electric bicycle due to the rainy weather, but decided to go anyway to see what kind of vegetables they had. Surprisingly, despite it being past noon, there were still some vegetables left due to the low number of customers. I found "edible flowers" that looked beautiful and tasted like a flavorful herb. I bought a bag for 150 yen and also got some broccoli for 180 yen, red radish for 150 yen, two types of potatoes for 200 yen each (Pilka and Northern Ruby), and spring chrysanthemum for 150 yen. Since there were not many people around, I enjoyed some chestnut ice cream in a silver cup while feeling the autumn vibes. It was a nice experience and I wonder how many more times I can visit this year.

Sapporo, Minami 22 Nishi 6. Second visit. Saturday only Saturday market. They handle a lot of fresh local vegetables. Last time, eggs and corn were sold out, so this time I visited about 15 minutes before opening. There were already about 20 people lined up. The store opened on time and everyone flowed in. The owner, Marcus Boss, greets each person politely. I rushed to the sales floor. There were still eggs and corn available. I also bought green eggplants, purple bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes. I walked around the sales floor for about 30 minutes, and there are a lot of unusual vegetables. I don't know how to eat them. That's also something to look forward to. There is an ice cream shop on the premises, but I haven't visited yet. It's small, but there is a place to eat. It seems they have pretzels too, but I haven't seen them yet. I want to try them. There is always a line at the cashier. I wondered why, but the staff and customers are chatting at the register. This communication must be part of the popularity. I lined up at Marcus's place. When it was my turn, he asked if I knew how to eat eggplants. I said I didn't know, and he kindly taught me. That's nice. I like this kind of thing. The vegetables I bought became snacks with sake at home. The eggs were delicious but quite small. How many more times can I come until autumn? Thank you for the meal.

This season, I finally made it to the MARCHE event. I couldn't go last week because I was out, so it feels like a summer bread festival (laughs) with MARCHE this week too. The rain I was worried about wasn't too bad, so I was able to arrive around noon. Now, onto today's bread festival... Three types of Fladenbrot, a flat bread from Germany. I bought two types. I missed out on the potato and bacon, and corn and paprika soup... I overlooked the round okra without corners, but it's grown big and apparently it's not tough and stringy. Lovely! I also bought Bolognese spices and Rigatoni... I'll buy minced meat tomorrow and make it. The flat bread is my favorite. "Oh, this bread is delicious..." I muttered suddenly, and that's the truth. I tried eating them as is, warmed in the oven, and warmed on the fish grill, and they were all delicious, but eating them as is when fresh and then warming them on the fish grill when they're left over seems to be the best. When warmed in the oven, the outside becomes crispy, which is also good, so it's a matter of preference. The corn was surprisingly sweet, like sugar! The paprika and onions on top also melt in your mouth... The potatoes have a fluffy texture like new potatoes. Truly amazing. They really know how to bring out the deliciousness of these vegetables. World cuisine goes beyond imagination. There are amazing Japanese chefs too, of course, but I really respect chefs like Marcus who can skillfully and deliciously prepare vegetables grown in this area. It must be a fundamental sense. I might be busy digging potatoes next week, so I might not be able to go shopping until mid-September. I want to go see the transformed autumn vegetables.

Sapporo City, Minami 22 Nishi 6. Visited for the first time after seeing information from Mairebi-san. It's a store in my neighborhood that I had no idea existed. They hold a Saturday market from early summer to autumn, offering local vegetables. Mairebi-san seems to have been visiting quite frequently for a while. I visited on a Saturday just before the Obon holiday, thinking it would start at 10:30, but there were already lines at the three cash registers. Inside the building, the vegetables were beautifully displayed, giving the place a sophisticated and stylish vibe, similar to a European vegetable market. Corn and eggs were also available, but they were already sold out. I didn't expect it to be this popular. In addition to vegetables, they also sell wine, wine bags, and various goods. There is also an ice cream shop attached, with a few people eating in. The vegetables were so enjoyable to look at. Since it was more of a reconnaissance mission this day, I bought only a few vegetables - zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and Italian tomatoes that are meant to be heated before eating. The producer (I assume?) explained them carefully. They are meant to be heated to enhance their flavor, like putting them on a pizza. I actually baked them in the oven with zucchini, and they were delicious with olive oil and salt and pepper. Perfect as a snack with drinks. Most of the customers seemed to be regulars, chatting with the staff when paying. The staff were very friendly. Everyone brought their own bags. They will be closing in the fall, but I feel like I can still visit a few more times. Oh, they also do catering. There will be a special dinner party on August 31st (2018). I wonder if it's already fully booked? Thank you for the meal.

This year, the market was held every Saturday from June 30th, from 10:30 am to 12:45 pm. I arrived around 11 am on a warm and sunny day. Many people were already in line at the register, and there were only a few vegetables left. The farmers selling their produce also recommended edible flowers, which looked beautiful. I purchased Romanesco, long onions grown alongside melons for pest control (70 yen), and a cheese pretzel. The cheese pretzel was delicious, with plenty of butter and a tasty cheese and onion topping. Although a bit pricey, it was satisfying. There were also many customers buying ice cream nearby, but I decided to pass. I confirmed that card payment was available at the register. It was a refreshing experience in a different environment than usual. Thank you for hosting the market again this year. It was a delightful experience.

On August 26, 2017, customers waited in line for the store to open. The market has transformed into a lovely place since my first visit. A few years ago, a friend started working at the register. We only see each other a few times a year, but it's fun to chat with them at the market. The staff is great too. I haven't tried the ice cream or coffee here yet, so I plan to do so before the end of the month. I'm looking forward to the autumn vegetables that will be available soon. I'm going to enjoy shopping without taking photos this time. My reviews for this year are done, but the market will be open until October 20th. Goodbye for now!

I arrived 15 minutes before the opening on July 29, 2017, and was surprised by the long line. I overheard conversations about people wondering if there would be enough vegetables, as it was their first time visiting. The organizer, Marcus, greeted everyone and handed out the monthly newspaper. The vegetables available included lettuce, tomatoes, cauliflower, and melon onions. The highlight was the green pea hummus, which had a nostalgic taste. The hummus was made with green peas, sesame, garlic, and lime, and was served with crackers for sampling. The containers used were environmentally friendly and could be returned for a cash refund. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to trying the coffee and ice cream they offer on Fridays and Saturdays.

I checked the website and went to the 11th year of the market, which is held from 6/24 to 10/21 every Saturday from 10:30 to 12:45. Today, it was raining lightly, but the staff guided us into the tent. This was the first market of the year, and about 40-50 people were already lining up before opening time, showing its popularity. Marcus thanked everyone for coming despite the rain and the sales began. Some producers were not used to selling, but they were doing their best. I bought three items, which are cheaper than supermarket prices at this time of year. I particularly like that it's not overly expensive. Next to the vegetable section, last year there was "May IcE" selling fresh vegetable, herb, and fruit ice cream and sorbet, but this year they seem to also be selling coffee at the stall. There was a small square with a cute owl made of yarn hanging, but I couldn't see clearly without the flyer, so I'll check it out next time. There were no prepared food options this time, so I couldn't get the quiche I was planning to buy, but I did enjoy some sample tastings. It was cold due to the rain, so I quickly paid and left, but I look forward to the summer vegetables to come.
