Around 12 o'clock on Friday. It was empty, maybe because of the rain. I sat by the window. I ordered the original chicken curry for 990 yen. I chose the medium rice portion for free. It seemed like they were short-staffed, but I didn't have to wait long for my food. The soup was chicken soup without any ingredients, and the side dishes were pink cabbage, edamame, and pickled leeks. The main chicken curry had tender shredded chicken breast in a mild sauce. The taste was gentle but quite ordinary. It's not worth 990 yen.

In June 2022, I visited a curry restaurant that is located near JR Chitose Station, in the area of Aoba 1-chome, which is a renovated house. The surroundings of this restaurant are a bit sparse in terms of houses, and it is situated along the Chitose River, making it a somewhat difficult area to describe. The restaurant is located on land owned by the Ministry of Defense, due to the extension of the runway of the Chitose Air Self-Defense Force Base, with many vacant lots for noise prevention purposes. The parking lot in front of the restaurant can fit three cars, but since the restaurant is slightly set back from the main street, it can be confusing where to park. Upon entering the restaurant, there is a counter in front of you, with counter seats for two on the left side and table seats further back. The menu offers several curry dishes and toppings. I ordered the "Rich Chicken Curry" which was spicy (free of charge) with regular rice portion (180g). The chicken curry was well-cooked with tender chicken and a thick curry sauce, but the rice was disappointing, feeling quite dry and possibly kept warm in a jar for a long time. It may not be using Basmati rice specifically for the curry. In terms of portion size, it might be better to opt for a medium portion (+110 yen for 250g) or a large portion (+220 yen for 330g) for adult men. Overall, the dish did not leave a high level of satisfaction, including the lack of volume for a regular size. Honestly, if they were to adjust the price to around 1200 yen from the beginning instead of trying to keep it under 1000 yen by compromising on the volume, it might be more appealing. A revisit would only happen if I feel particularly inclined to do so.

Originally, a shop that is usually only open on weekdays was open during Golden Week, so on my way back from Shiraoi, I made a takeout reservation for 5:30 PM. However, due to traffic, I arrived in Chitose after 4 PM. I thought it would be fine to go back to Ebetsu before 3 PM, but it was unexpected! It was too much trouble to go back home and then go out again, so I decided to pass by the "Narisawa Curry" shop where I had been rejected once before. Surprisingly, the shop was open, so I went in! Since I had just eaten lunch and dessert not long ago, I wasn't even hungry! What am I doing... More than half of the food I ordered for takeout will be given as souvenirs to my family! (laughs) Since it was an odd time, I was the only customer the whole time. I couldn't find the cheapest curry rice on the menu, so I ordered the following instead: - Soft Pork Curry (¥880) - Small Rice 140g - Spicy Kids' Curry The owner said that the Spicy Kids' Curry is made very sweet with flour and oligosaccharides. I thought it was a half-size portion, but it turned out to be different. The curry arrived within 10 minutes of ordering! The dish was beautifully garnished with leaf-like spices and a small amount of achar. The slightly thin curry had a sweetness at first bite, followed by a gradually building spiciness, which was irresistible! Not only focused on spiciness, the curry had a deep flavor from the rich taste of the meat and the curry sauce. The pork was so tender that it easily cut with a spoon, and the meat retained its umami without being absorbed by the sauce. The deliciousness that melts in your mouth and the richness you can feel on your tongue are great! The achar, with plenty of acidity, helped reset the accumulated spiciness in the mouth, allowing you to enjoy the flavors all over again! The soup had a sourness like plums, which was also refreshing and delicious. If you want to increase the rice portion beyond the normal size of 180g, an additional fee is required, which might be a downside for those who want to eat a lot, but I was fully satisfied with the small portion. Even with the small portion, the presentation was not lacking, which shows attention to detail. I will definitely pay the extra 50 yen for the extra spiciness when I go back! Thank you for the delicious meal.

I was worried if they were still open due to the state of emergency, but they were. I had a late lunch. I had pork cutlet curry, which was a unique type where they cut and then fry the pork. It was like camembert cheese fry. The meat was tender and delicious. It was good. It's not about the portion size, but when you imagine a regular pork cutlet curry, it felt a bit lacking.

First visit was for takeout, but accidentally deleted the initial review, so re-reviewing now. Visited alone on a weekday. Ordered: - Beef Cutlet Curry (mild, normal rice portion 180g) for 1,100 yen - Castella cake for 250 yen - Iced coffee for 220 yen The place was super cool inside, very comfortable even when it's hot outside. The beef was tender and delicious. I debated on the rice portion but the normal size was just right. The soup had a unique aroma and taste, very authentic. Although the menu only listed hot drinks, when I asked they were able to make me iced coffee. The castella cake was moist and delicious with almonds in it, apparently homemade by someone I know. Unfortunately, the cookies were sold out. The interior, menu, and table settings were all simple, must be the owner's preference. Thank you for the meal!

On a certain weekday, I visited a curry restaurant in Aoba 1-jo, Chitose City, which seemed to have some unique features. The restaurant has a parking lot for 2 cars in front of the store. The interior, which is a renovated older house, is not very spacious, with 2 tables and a small counter. Cool jazz music plays from stylish speakers in the background. From the menu, I chose the "Rich Chicken Curry (990 yen)" that looked like a spicy curry, and added the "Pickled Vegetables with 3 Types of Achaar (+220 yen)" as a topping. I asked for medium spiciness and regular 180g of rice. Let's take a bite... Wow, I see. This is a curry with spices tailored to Japanese taste. It's a fairly voluminous type of spicy curry, with a base that is quite easy for Japanese people to eat, not heavily spiced, making it very easy to eat. Although it says "rich", I didn't feel it was too heavy, probably because it was stewed... The medium spiciness wasn't too strong, but I felt the heat slowly afterwards! The well-cooked chicken also did a great job. The topping of 3 types of vegetables included crispy-skinned potatoes with a slight acidity, interesting and good. The classic purple cabbage was pickled in a mild way, and the finely shredded carrots were pickled gently, with a slightly sweet homemade? Fukujin pickles could also be confirmed. I love the authentic curries with various spices made by locals that have been popular recently, but this curry, which has the perfect balance that Japanese people find delicious, was also wonderful. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant right at 12 o'clock. The owner, a nice guy, was handling everything alone. I ordered the pork cutlet curry with medium spiciness and a bit less rice. The background music was playing through 3-inch full-range speakers and sounded great. Since there were no other customers, I chatted with the master who was an audio enthusiast, and it was a fun time. The curry with medium spiciness was a bit sweet and spicy, so I should have ordered it spicier. But the best part was the tender meat! It was cooked using vacuum low-temperature cooking method, sealing in all the flavors. Pork cutlet curry was 880 yen and Tachibana coffee was 250 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Last December, a curry restaurant opened in Chitose City. It is rare to have a curry specialty shop run by an individual in Chitose City, but I was not particularly interested in it. However, there was a rumor that it might be better than my favorite 【Curry no Chikara Chitose Branch】, so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant is located along a narrow alley that extends west from Kawanami Street. As long as you don't mistake the entrance, you can easily find it with banners and curtains set up outside, but if you visit outside of business hours, you might wonder if there is a restaurant there. The interior of the restaurant is more like a cafe renovated from an old private house than a curry restaurant, with a simple decor. There were sofa seats for two people, so we sat there and looked at the menu. I noticed they had Pakistani curry on the menu. When I think of Pakistani curry, I remember 【Karaba Curry】 in Fujino, Minami-ku, Sapporo, so I could expect it to be similar. The owner of the restaurant was a young man, so I thought it might be promising. I ordered the Pakistani curry in extra spicy (+50 yen) with 250g of rice (+50 yen), and my wife ordered the pork cutlet curry in spicy with 250g of rice. There was a family of customers before us, so it took about 20 minutes. When the Pakistani curry came out, I had a feeling that it might not be good. First, I tried the pork cutlet curry my wife ordered, and it was very delicious. Then I tasted my Pakistani curry, and thought, "Oh, the curry portion is small..." It's not that the overall portion is small, but the ratio of curry used is small. You can immediately see that there is no broth in the curry, and instead of the curry spreading in your mouth, you feel like you are eating finely chopped chicken with the flavor of curry. Although it was good that I ordered it extra spicy, if the spiciness is not enough, this feeling will become more pronounced. The rice was molded in a cup, but it lacked the fluffy texture of delicious rice. My wife, who ate the pork cutlet curry, was satisfied and said it was similar to 【Curry no Chikara Chitose Branch】. The menu had been changed to include tax, but 180g of rice as a regular portion is too small. I wish they would at least make it 200g, and charging extra from 250g feels expensive. Thank you for the meal.

This place is located in Aoba 1-chome, Chitose City, near Kawanami Street. For the exact location, please check the map on Tabelog as usual. I heard that a new curry restaurant has opened in Chitose, so I went to visit the shop out of curiosity as a curry lover. With the help of Tabelog's map, I managed to arrive at the shop, parked my car diagonally in the front parking lot, and entered the shop. I was told to choose any seat I liked, so I sat at a table near the stove and looked at the menu. The limited menu posted on the wall also caught my attention, but I decided to order the basic "Soft Beef Curry" with regular rice and spiciness level of hot. I waited for the order to be served. It arrived in about 4-5 minutes, and it looked somewhat like a spiced curry. I touched the plate first, but it was cold. Then I tried the curry sauce, which had a texture similar to keema curry with minced meat, different from the beef curry I expected. In terms of spiciness, it was about medium in comparison to commercially available curry, so it may not be spicy enough for those who prefer hot. As for the main dish, the "Soft Beef" was not actually tender, and it seemed like it still needed more stewing. The condiments included colorless Fukujinzuke and finely chopped pickled ginger. After trying the "Soft Beef Curry" this time, I didn't feel much charm in it, so I hope the shop owner will continue to explore more with their curry dishes.

In December 2020, a new curry restaurant opened in Chitose City! I visited with a local and the place is called "Narisawa Curry". The interior of the renovated house has a Taisho Romantic atmosphere. It feels like a space where Takehisa Yumeji would drink coffee. [Beef Cutlet Curry & Extra Spicy & Large Rice Portion] 990 yen & 55 yen & 110 yen Let's try the "Beef Cutlet" that is not common in Hokkaido. The rice portion has 4 levels, and even the largest portion is only 320g, which is almost the same as the regular portion at Coco Ichibanya. The spiciness level also has 4 levels. The owner said, "Our curry is spicy, but not too spicy." So, I'll have the spiciest level, extra spicy! The beef cutlet is made with meat that is cooked to be tender. It was not as tender as described, but it was certainly soft! It has a tender texture that can be easily cut with a spoon. I think it's a delicious curry. It may not be an exaggeration to say that it is one of the most delicious in the Chitose and Eniwa area! When comparing only the taste, it might be better than my favorite "Curry no Chikara". However, the price of the curry I had today is 1,155 yen... so it's delicious, which might be expected at this price. If it was not good at this price, I would be angry!

On December 16, 2020, I visited "Narisawa Curry" in Aoba 1-6-14, Chitose City, and tried their Pork Cutlet Curry (spicy, regular rice portion) for 990 yen including tax. The pork cutlet was freshly fried and tender, served with two types of condiments. I found out about Narisawa Curry through the local information website Maipre, and although I initially visited during the day and found it closed, I returned for dinner after work. The restaurant is located in a renovated traditional house and has a cozy atmosphere with a kitchen counter on the right upon entering, a sofa on the left, and two 4-person table seats at the back. The male owner managed the place alone. There are about 2 parking spaces in front of the restaurant. The menu prices are excluding tax and include options like Soft Pork Curry (800 yen), Soft Beef Curry (900 yen), Curry Sauce Only (600 yen), Pork Cutlet Curry (900 yen), Beef Cutlet Curry (1000 yen), and Kids' Keema Curry (600 yen). The spiciness levels range from mild to very spicy, with an additional 50 yen for the very spicy option. Rice portions vary from small (140g) to large (320g), with additional charges for medium and large sizes. Toppings such as cheese, vegetables, fried boiled egg, and bacon cheese cutlets are available. Drinks include a Tachibana Coffee Winter Blend for 400 yen when ordered separately, or 200 yen when ordered with a meal, as well as various soft drinks for 200 yen each. I chose the spicy Pork Cutlet Curry, which was not overly spicy and the cutlet was incredibly tender. The curry sauce was generous, and I felt that a bit more rice would have been perfect. Overall, the curry was much tastier than what I could make at home. I hope this newly opened restaurant continues to thrive. It was a delicious meal. Thank you.

It was delicious. I ordered Pakistani curry. I know of a tastier Pakistani curry, so the score didn't go up. I thought it might be okay to make it a little saltier. It was delicious at first, but as I continued eating, I got a bit tired of it. I thought that if it was a little saltier, I might be able to enjoy it until the end.
