☆彡A curry specialty shop where you can choose between two types: spicy and mild. The appearance is typical of Western-style curry, but the great thing here is that you can add toppings like tonkatsu at a reasonable price, usually only an additional 100-200 yen to order katsu curry. Most of the customers who visit add tonkatsu as a topping, but it's not tonkatsu curry, it's "nabe-yaki soup curry." This summer, I felt like challenging myself to eat something hot and spicy while sweating, so I decided to order it half out of curiosity. ○ Nabe-yaki soup curry (900 yen) It's normal for sweat to come out when you eat spicy food. When you put the hot soup in your mouth, it gradually warms up from inside your stomach, not just surface sweating, but deep sweating. It's incredibly hot, but strangely refreshing. The spiciness is mild and the spices are simple, but the sweating is intense. Just by putting the hot soup in your mouth, it triggers the next round of sweating. The 900 yen soup curry is full of ingredients, with thick slices of pumpkin that are sweet, root vegetables like carrots and potatoes that are chunky but not overwhelming, and even two pieces of chicken with bones. The white rice is also free for refills, so it's cost-effective. The heat, not the spiciness, was the stimulating factor in the nabe-yaki soup curry. This menu might be unique to this place only. Thank you for reading until the end. Your likes, saves, and follows are encouraging. If you like, please click on them. I also have an Instagram account @ginjirou.star. Feel free to check it out if you'd like! ===========

I was interested in this curry restaurant. My companion had chicken cutlet curry, while I had keema curry. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The chicken cutlet curry was good, but I preferred the keema curry. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

- Ordered item: Beef curry for 900 yen - Dish description: High-quality beef with some fat, cut into small pieces and simmered until tender in a curry sauce. The restaurant has a nice aroma of spices. There are options for onion type and basic roux. This dish was a classic choice. The spiciness hits you for a moment and then leaves a smooth sensation, a type of curry that I haven't tried before but seems addictive. Although it was supposed to be a regular portion, the serving size was quite generous. The meat was tender but not overly soft. - Atmosphere: ==========

I visited the famous European-style curry restaurant, King's Spoon. They have a special offer of Chicken Katsu for only 100 yen! I couldn't resist and ordered the spicy Chicken Katsu curry. The curry was a bit thin but it paired well with the crispy Chicken Katsu. The curry sauce was tangy and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Shop Name: King's Spoon Nearest Station: Minamimorimachi Type: Curry First time visiting this shop. Arrived 15 minutes before opening but no one was waiting. They opened the door 10 minutes before opening time. So grateful! Ordered the Mixed Katsu Curry (1000 yen) which came with chicken katsu, spicy chicken katsu, and hire katsu rice in a large portion for free. However, I have another lunch plan after this so I opted for a regular size. But the regular size was still a lot! There were three types of katsu on top and the amount of curry was impressive.

King Spoon's beef and raw egg curry is not a thick curry with spices other than spiciness mixed in a blender. It is a light curry that goes well with the meat, which is tender and low in fat. I ordered the raw egg to avoid spiciness, but it was not necessary.

I felt like eating curry during my lunch break and found this place! This is my third visit. The pork cutlet curry is incredibly delicious! The cutlet is so juicy, I am very satisfied. The staff's attentiveness in refilling my water before I even ask is amazing. It's really helpful when I'm eating curry. This place seems to be quite popular and crowded. The spicy cutlet curry is tasty with chili pepper mixed in, but it might be a bit too spicy for those who are not good with spicy food. I also tried the keema curry and it was delicious. One thing to note though! Eating the lunch set here will make you too full, and you might suddenly feel sleepy during your afternoon work, so all you salarymen out there, please be careful haha.

I visited the restaurant a little earlier than lunchtime. I tried the Spicy Chicken Cutlet, which I thought was spicy sauce, but it turned out the seasoning was on the cutlet itself. The sauce looked light and fruity, with a nice blend of sweetness and spices that made me sweat as I ate. I found some tender beef mixed in with the finely chopped ingredients. The sweet and savory soy sauce flavor of the cutlet paired well with it. It's no wonder this place is popular with regulars as it was truly delicious.

A few minutes walk from Nansencho Station. Had lunch here today. The interior has counter seats and table seats, and the main menu is curry. You choose the base curry and toppings. I had the spicy chicken cutlet curry with the King base. Let's dig in! First, a bonus salad arrived. Next, the main dish, the cutlet curry. The curry is soupy and has a spicy kick. The chicken cutlet was spicier than expected. The curry covers the entire cutlet, making the breading soggy. I think the texture of fried food is important, so it would be nice if they could put less curry or none at all on the cutlet. Overall, it was a fried food curry. The serving was relatively fast. Another person ordered beef curry and it came out quickly, so it seems convenient even when in a hurry.

Between Mountain Day and the Bon holiday weekend, it was a Friday when many restaurants were closed for the holiday (my husband had the day off today). We decided to visit a restaurant called "Ousama no Spoon" for the first time, which only operates during weekday lunch hours and is known for its benchmark quality. The restaurant is located at 5-11-4 Nishi-Temma, Kita-ku, Osaka, a 7-minute walk from the "Minami-Morimachi" subway station and the "Osaka Tenmangu" JR Tozai Line station. We arrived a little before 11 am. The restaurant is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and operates from 11 am to 3 pm (last order at 2:30 pm). The staff kindly invited us inside before opening time due to the hot weather. We sat at the counter seat and had a chat with the staff. Today, many companies are likely closed, so they were short-staffed with just one person. During lunchtime, they usually have a team of three staff members due to the constant flow of customers. The curry sauce comes in two bases: the "Ousama Base" for those who like a strong spicy flavor (the restaurant's signature sauce) and the "Onion Base" for those who prefer a milder, sweet onion flavor with a hint of spices. Beside each menu item, there is a crown symbol for "Ousama" and an onion symbol for "Onion," and you can choose between the two bases. Although the rice portion size is not specified, they can adjust it from small to large upon request. My husband ordered the "Ousama Base" with a large serving of Mixed Cutlet Curry and an additional Garam Masala. Ousama no Spoon also focuses on its original retort curry, which is available for online purchase on their website. There is Fukujin pickles on the table, and I suggested having a separate plate for the spoon for hygiene purposes. After a short wait, the dish arrived. A large serving of rice topped with mixed cutlets (chicken cutlet, spicy chicken cutlet, tenderloin cutlet) and generously poured with curry sauce, finished with a sprinkle of Garam Masala right in front of us. The aroma of curry and Garam Masala was delightful when I removed my mask. They advised us to dip the cutlets in the sauce before eating. I topped it with Fukujin pickles and started eating. First, I tried the Ousama Base sauce, which had a smooth texture with a strong spicy flavor and a good balance of fruits and onions. It was spicy and addictive, with a unique blend of spices. Dipping the cutlets into the sauce enhanced the flavor. The spicy chicken cutlet added an extra kick to the dish. As I continued eating, the Garam Masala also added a nice touch, making me break a sweat from the deliciousness. The Fukujin pickles paired well with the curry, and the dressed cabbage helped refresh the palate. I enjoyed the curry until the last bite, wiping off the sweat and feeling content. It was a high-quality curry that left me satisfied and happy. I thanked the staff at Ousama no Spoon and left the restaurant. My husband also expressed his satisfaction and said he would come back again. "Thank you for the meal! It was delicious! I'll be back!"

Business trip to Osaka for one night and two days starting today. For lunch on the first day, I went to "Ousama no Spoon" as usual for curry. The location is a curry stand-like place where you can choose from 8 types of curry, with the option of "Ousama Base" or "Onion Base" for the roux. I ordered the standard "Beef Curry" with the spiced "Ousama Base" roux. The curry was served in a large white plate with beef, onions, and various vegetables and fruits. The roux had a good balance of sweetness and spiciness, and the beef was tender and flavorful. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying meal. The bill came out to 900 yen. Thank you for the meal!

Continuing from yesterday, today I also tried the Eat-Log Curry WEST Top 100 Stores. As of today, the shop has a rating of 3.66 on Eat-Log. It took me about 10 minutes to walk from my company to the shop. I arrived at 11:05 am. There was only one customer inside and the staff told me I could sit anywhere. I chose a seat at the counter. It was my first time there. The staff told me to choose a base, so I chose the King's base. Then they asked me to choose a curry, so I chose beef. I like spicy food, so I ordered it with garam masala. I asked for a smaller portion of rice. After waiting for about 3 minutes, I was served a salad first. Then, I met the beef curry with garam masala on the King's base. The curry was a thin type, and the beef was cut into large pieces, about four of them. I took a bite of the curry first, and the garam masala added a nice spice to it, making it moderately spicy and delicious. The beef was chunky and satisfying to eat. I topped it with plenty of fukujinzuke and enjoyed it with the curry. It was delicious. Next time, I think I'll try the chicken cutlet. Thank you for reading until the end! If you could 'like,' 'follow,' or 'save the shop,' it would be encouraging for me in the future, so thank you in advance!

I visited a weekday lunch-only spice curry restaurant that is closed on weekends and holidays. I had a late shift this week, so I arrived at 12:30. By that time, they had run out of beef curry and pork cutlet curry. I managed to get one of the last two servings of chicken cutlet curry. It was delicious, even though it may not be Instagram-worthy. The taste is excellent, perfect for salarymen, even though it may not be popular among women.

This is a well-known curry restaurant that has a lot of media exposure. They also offer retort curry that can be purchased online. I decided to visit because I thought, "I have to go there at least once." After researching, I found out that they are only open for lunch on weekdays. However, I was really curious, so I decided to visit on a weekday in April. The restaurant is located in Minamimorimachi, Osaka. You can walk there from Osaka Umeda area, but this time I took the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line to the nearest Minamimorimachi Station and walked for about 5 minutes following the GPS. I arrived at the restaurant right after it opened at 11:05 am. Before entering, I found a large menu board at the entrance and decided on what to order. According to the explanation on the board, they carefully roast spices with antioxidant and digestive properties in the store. Interesting, it seems good for the body. You can choose between "King Base" or "Onion Base" for the roux. Since the "King Base" with the restaurant's name on it was labeled as the "signature roux," I decided to go with that. Therefore, I chose the classic and satisfying "Beef Curry" (900 yen tax included). I heard that a salad comes as a side dish, which is nice. Fortunately, the restaurant wasn't crowded yet, and I entered smoothly. There is a counter along the kitchen and two-person table seats along the opposite wall. Many solo diners, which is reassuring. I told the staff my order, and in just a minute, it was already served. Even though it's a curry restaurant, this was fast! This could lead to a high turnover rate even when it's busy. The spoon on the side was quite big, this can be called the "King Size." So, I will enjoy it like a "King." The consistency of the roux is low, more on the "runny" side. I dipped the rice well and took a bite, and it slowly spreads throughout my body. It has a strong "medicinal taste." There is umami, but it's more "refreshing" than rich. I can see solid ingredients like bite-sized beef, but there seem to be many ingredients melting in the roux, "Wow, it's elaborate." The spiciness is mild, just enough to tingle the tongue and throat. Slightly more "adult-oriented." The salad is simple, shredded cabbage with French dressing. Yes, it's tangy and refreshing! I finished the meal while gently sweating. I feel like my stomach and intestines are "settled." (Personal impression.) If you live or work nearby and come here frequently, it might have even more effect.

I had some business at the Osaka Legal Affairs Bureau North Branch Office, and since I had a good experience last time, I went back to "King's Spoon" after a year and a half. Today, I had the King's base mixed cutlet. The curry is on the watery side, but it has a strong spice flavor and is very delicious. They are closed on weekends, so it's hard to visit, but I would like to go again on a weekday off.

Today, I had a rare weekday off and decided to visit two takeout restaurants that I had tried before. I arrived 10 minutes before opening time and was the only one in line until I finished eating and left the restaurant. I ordered the mixed cutlet curry, which included tenderloin cutlet, chicken cutlet, and spicy chicken cutlet. The curry had a thin consistency and a slightly spicy taste that made me break a sweat on my forehead, but it was not overwhelmingly hot. Each cutlet was delicious, and all of this for only 1000 yen was quite a good deal. I was satisfied with the takeout experience, but dining in the restaurant made me appreciate it even more. Thank you for the meal!

The King's Spoon Plain Curry (¥750 including tax) is the basic curry. It contains various medicinal spices that help regulate the body, making it a gentle curry that won't cause stomach upset. You can choose between the King's base and Onion base, and I chose the King's base for that classic taste. It's quite spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. It's a curry that you can easily slurp down.

I had lunch here on a regular day. First, I choose the curry base. I chose the onion base because I don't like it too spicy. But when I tried it, it was still quite spicy. However, as I started eating, I felt like something was missing. Maybe I should have chosen the popular King base after all? I finished the meal with some regret. The chicken cutlet was tender and delicious.
