Kamifura no pork. December 18, 2018 NEW! Theme: A night in Upper Furano, Hokkaido. Finally finished work and came to a local izakaya. "Suzukifukutaro" may not be well-known, but it's probably the only izakaya like this in Upper Furano. Even though some restaurants have their noren curtains turned around, if there are this many words written on it, might as well have it facing the front, right? Well, cheers. The appetizer is "Satsuma-age, carrots, simmered daikon." Starting with a Caesar salad and "pork belly skewers," a specialty of Kamifura known as "pork belly" skewers. It's also a common dish at yakiniku restaurants, but it's delicious as skewers. Other dishes include a "grilled chicken assortment," followed by a "lemon sour." And! "Secret sauce special spare ribs." Spare ribs marinated in secret sauce for 3 days and carefully grilled. Limited quantity, and it's delicious! "Upper Furano pork liver pate" spread on baguette is also excellent. Still drinking with "oolong highball" and "rolled omelet." Not the cheap frozen kind. And then, a "pork bowl." Of course, made with charcoal-grilled Upper Furano pork. Probably the loin cut. Shared with others, but seriously, it's delicious. Finally, a "pickled vegetable assortment" to cleanse the palate. A restaurant that is friendly to the Self-Defense Force personnel stationed in the town. Satisfied contrary to expectations! Thank you for the meal.

The food was delicious and served quickly. Orders were taken using a tablet which allowed us to track the cooking progress. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

The menu is extensive, the service is fast, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent.

Enjoy a plentiful shabu-shabu in a cool kotatsu with air conditioning. Indulge in the flavors of Kami-Furano pork shoulder and belly, with the sweet taste of meat during moments of happiness. The vegetables are easy to eat without any bitterness. It is wise to make a reservation to enjoy this meal.

Always great service at "Suzuki Fukutaro"! The majority of the dishes are homemade and they put a lot of effort into them (lol). They seem to be experimenting with creative dishes every day. Their grilled dishes are cooked over charcoal, of course (*ﾟ∀ﾟ*)b. The cost performance is good, and the customer service is excellent ♡. They have been faithfully continuing the basics for many years, so it's no wonder they are popular, right? They may not handle high-end ingredients, but they work hard on pricing and provide high-quality customer service (^-^)v. On this day, we had a fun reunion with friends. We always choose a reliable and pleasant restaurant to ensure a good time. Drinking at "Fukutaro" is always fun and safe ( *´꒳`* ) Although it's a bit far, we will definitely come back again ♬. We visited the restaurant with 4 people. One person was not drinking alcohol. We were thinking of getting the all-you-can-drink option, but the staff suggested that only the drinkers get the all-you-can-drink option and the non-drinkers can just pay for their drinks. It was so considerate! We had a fun, delicious, and pleasant time with great friends. Safe and secure!

I can't keep up with organizing my photos (lol). On top of that, when I eat out at weird places, that becomes the priority, or when it's a trendy or popular spot...(*^^*) So, here it is! Since my memory is fading, let's start with releasing the photos first!! In Kami-Furano, it's a popular spot and the staff are all energetic and cute (*^^)v. Everything I order is delicious and they serve it with care, making sure hot items are hot and cold items are served in chilled dishes ♡ (Take notes, other restaurants...learn from them! (lol)) Please continue to prioritize customer service and maintain your status as a great restaurant ♬ I will support you with all my heart (^_-)-☆

When it comes to Kamifurano, you have to mention Manzaku-san and Marumasu-san! And of course, Fukutaro-san as well! I went there after a few years and it was great. They use local ingredients and the grilled dishes are cooked over charcoal. On this day, we had a gathering with a group of friends, like a celebration. We reserved the all-you-can-eat and drink course for 3,980 yen, I think. The staff inside were mostly cute girls, very efficient and friendly. The restaurant was almost full, it has become a popular spot among locals. They seemed to be working hard to serve the dishes promptly. Fukutaro-san has definitely evolved since my last visit. I might come back occasionally from now on. The all-you-can-drink menu is great and the glasses are clean. A tour of Kamifurano could include chartering the Hinode Cottage, soaking in the natural hot springs at Shiraginsou, having lunch at Manzaku, and having a party at Fukutaro in the evening, followed by lunch at Marumasu the next day. Maybe it's a good idea for a meetup too? I'm considering ordering their New Year's Eve party platter this year.

Visit date 17/5/4. On this day, we moved from Furano to Kamifurano and stayed at Furanoi Onsen. We had a light drink in the room before walking about 5 minutes to Furanoi Onsen. We made a reservation for 18:30 and were seated almost at the same time. Since it was still early, the restaurant was not crowded. The dim lighting and private room allowed us to relax and enjoy our drinks. We opted for the all-you-can-drink option with beer and hops. Later, we found out there was also an all-you-can-drink soft drink option, so my wife switched to that. The appetizers included cabbage and ham salad, asparagus tempura, and vinegared mozuku seaweed, all of which were delicious. The Mentaiko mayo tamagoyaki was large and filled with plenty of tasty Mentaiko mayo. The Fukutaro salad with fried potatoes was a unique combination that worked well with the sesame dressing. The Sagari wasabi skewers were exceptionally delicious. The crunchy gizzard salt was enjoyable. The liver with sauce is always a favorite of mine at izakayas. The grilled chicken tenderloin with green onions and ponzu sauce was a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The pork Sagari skewers were a must-try in Kamifurano. We ended the all-you-can-drink session with a large beer, which was a nice touch. The service from the staff was friendly, making it a delightful and satisfying day of drinking. We returned to Furanoi Onsen for a relaxing soak before bedtime.

The parfait at the end was unexpectedly luxurious, so I ended up taking a photo of it. My daughter ordered it, but I ended up eating it... Other dishes were not photographed. I can't drink, so I was looking forward to eating at the izakaya, but there weren't many things I wanted to order. Since the main dishes were yakitori and sashimi, there was no choice, but I wanted more creative dishes. The ramen salad was delicious. It had been a while since I went to an izakaya, so maybe my expectations were too high?

The 660th store is here! It's almost the omen Zoro of 666. I stayed overnight at a campsite in Nakafurano. This campsite is surprisingly close to the town and even has a convenience store nearby, which is rare for a campsite. It's highly recommended for those who want to have a relaxed camping experience. The Furano Onsen is also nearby! Now, I'm searching on Tabelog for dinner. I decided to go to this place that looked the most delicious! Next to it, there was a rental GET that looked exactly like GE○, which made me laugh. The logo is almost identical! When I arrived at the restaurant, they explained in advance, "It's full, so it may take some time for the food to come out. The staff may not come right away." Even so, I was fine with it and entered. In the end, it was much faster than the Tsubo○ in my hometown! (laughs) I wonder if the standard is the speed of the city. I appreciated the detailed explanation at the beginning, and I ended up liking it even more. I could relax in a private room, and all the dishes were delicious, so I was satisfied! I didn't expect to find such a wonderful izakaya in Nakafurano! It offers a wide variety of dishes, more like a general izakaya menu than a "local menu." When you want to go to a second place, there is a service where the affiliated store covers the full taxi fare! Be sure to check it out for a second round! Thank you for the meal!
