It is a place that is difficult to reach without a car or bus, but there are parking spaces for 3 cars and it is located along a main street, making it easy to find. The name of the restaurant was also prominently displayed. I visited around 1 pm on Saturday. There were 4 table seats, and the handwritten menu on the whiteboard showed the contents of the daily nanakusa set. When I arrived, there were no other customers, but later two groups of customers arrived, and they all ordered the nanakusa set. Despite the variety of dishes, it only cost 1,030 yen. If you don't add dessert or drinks, it's even cheaper. There are other menu items such as Napolitan and fried rice, which are priced at 600 yen, a bargain price. When I ordered a meal, it was ready in about 20 minutes. They provide organic ponzu and soy sauce sprays for you to use as you like. The dishes included:
- Salad with shredded cabbage, daikon, tomatoes, and seaweed topped with soy milk mayo.
- Pumpkin "university" (similar to sweet potato university) with a crispy texture and a nutty flavor.
- Grilled dumplings with soybeans, greens, and carrots in a light sauce.
- Grilled thick tofu with sesame miso mayo, which had a cheese-like flavor.
- Curry stew with potatoes, carrots, onions, bell peppers, corn, and a mild curry flavor.
- Tofu and mushroom simmered dish with a ponzu dipping sauce.
- Sweet sake poured over tiger beans, which had a natural sweetness.
- Miso soup with fallen leaf mushrooms, winter melon, and fried tofu.
- Enzyme brown rice with various flavors and textures.
I also ordered the dessert, which was a sweet parfait-like dish with options for ice cream flavors. It had a mix of ingredients like adzuki beans, vegetable dumplings, and soy yogurt, topped with black sugar sauce. I chose blueberry ice cream, which had chunks of blueberries in it. The dessert was not too sweet and was enjoyable until the end. Additionally, there was a chestnut-shaped dessert filled with chestnut paste, which was surprisingly light and not overly sweet.
