Ordered amazake gelato and soy coffee gelato. The amazake gelato has a refreshing taste with a hint of amazake aroma. The soy coffee gelato offers a smooth, slightly bitter flavor with sweetness. It was delicious!

This is a cafe restaurant located in the Daishosen Garden. You can visit without buying a ticket to the garden, so it's recommended if you happen to pass by. They offer Mikuni's staff meal pork curry for 950 yen, possibly due to the proximity to Mikuni's restaurant next door. You can enjoy viewing the beautiful flowers in the garden through the glass. I stayed at Fratello Di Mikuni next door the previous day, and guests there can use the garden for free. I also recommend checking that out.

I had gelato at Midorizaka Teahouse in the Great Snow Forest Garden in Kamikawa. I chose a single, double, and triple scoop from the vending machine and bought a ticket. Then I told the staff the flavors I wanted. This time, I had a combination of Kamikawa Daizukeshuzo's sweet sake and hazelnuts, Forest Berry Mille-feuille, and a coffee latte. The location in the garden was fantastic, and eating gelato in nature was delicious.

The record-breaking heat continues in Hokkaido. Ice cream is a must. Single scoop for 300 yen, double for 400 yen, triple for 500 yen. Only available in cups. The strawberries from Date are sweet, sour, and refreshing. The sweet sake ice cream seems to be the most popular, but it's quite big so I didn't have the confidence to try it. I should have tried it~.

"Ryokkyu Sabo" Green Hill Tea House. On a Sunday when Ryokkyu Sabo was closed, we decided to visit the Garden in Kamikawa region. We started from Ueno Garden in Asahikawa and made our way to the Forest Garden in Kamikawa Town. Despite heavy rain, we managed to avoid getting wet during our hour and a half walk. Since I have written about this café before, I won't revisit it, but wait, the name of the café hasn't changed, right? I quickly checked and realized that I hadn't been here before. We hurried to the ticket machine, aiming for gelato. My wife had already checked and said, "It's nothing special." But when I looked at the ticket machine, they had pistachio flavor. There was only a double option for it, right? I'm fine with a single, and it's 300 yen cheaper, but it must be a good deal. Especially since pistachio gelato can be more expensive at other places. It arrived in a cup. After finishing it, I noticed there were quite a few cups in the trash can. So, maybe the customers are slowly returning? It was creamy, and while I don't like using this word, I can't think of another way to describe it. It was smooth and not too sweet, with a subtle pistachio flavor. The color was light, but the refreshing pistachio taste was delicious. Just as we finished eating, the shop closed. It was a close call. Let's head back home.

At the cafe affiliated with Kamikawa Taeyama Shuzo Midorigaoka Kura, located about 9km away from Kamikawa Station, I decided to try their desserts after having ramen. The cafe is situated within the forest garden of Kamikawa, so it offers a unique and peaceful atmosphere. Since I had already eaten ramen and mini fried rice, I wasn't very hungry, so I opted for a triple cup of gelato made with fresh milk from Kamikawa. I chose one cup of amazake, a specialty of the area, and asked for recommendations for the other two cups. I ended up selecting black sesame and pistachio flavors, both of which were rich and flavorful. The amazake gelato had a subtle hint of sake lees and koji, which paired well with the milk. The black sesame gelato had a fragrant and intense flavor that complemented the milk perfectly. The pistachio gelato was also delicious, with a rich and nutty taste. Although the price for a triple cup was a bit high at 500 yen, considering it's a cafe in a commercial area, it was worth it for the quality of the gelato.

I visited the Garden at Ooyukimori on a Saturday in August to see the beautiful garden. After enjoying the lovely garden, I went to the tea house and ended up ordering gelato. I got a double scoop with amazake gelato on the bottom and soy coffee gelato on top. The amazake gelato was full of flavor and even people who don't like amazake would find it delicious. The soy coffee gelato had a subtle coffee flavor but a strong soy taste. Thank you for the delicious treat!

I had a fulfilling lunch time at Daisetsu Club and then spent the day wandering around, exploring places like Oyakari and others in the Kamikawa area. It was a fun time enjoying all the sights. My stomach was full, but there's always room for delicious gelato, right? My favorite is pistachio. I always want to try it if it's available. The smoothness is gentle, isn't it?
