I was in the mood for some meat, so I made a reservation and went with my partner. We ordered salted tongue, a premium assorted meat platter, and some lettuce wraps. We enjoyed top-quality meat once again. I also had quite a few highballs to drink! I wanted to try some offal, but I was too full; it might have been the best amount to share among three people. I visited for lunch and had the C lunch set with sundubu (soft tofu stew) and a small bibimbap. I got a bit carried away and ordered it at level 3 spiciness (the highest of three levels), which made me sweat quite a bit. The tofu wasn't specifically made for sundubu but was store-bought, yet it still tasted good. However, the bibimbap was delicious. It might just be my preference, but the seasoning was just right. I should have gone for the A lunch set with bibimbap as the main dish. Next time, I want to try the hormone dishes for dinner.

Today I had a late lunch♪ During peak hours, it tends to get crowded, so adjusting the time was a great idea and it was nice and quiet (*^^*). In the evening, I'm planning to enjoy grilled offal with an all-you-can-drink option. The overall reviews for this place are quite high. I think adjusting my schedule worked out well because there were only three male customers ahead of me (⁎ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈⁎). I was shown to a counter seat ( •̀ᴗ•́ )/ I ordered the following: ● Main A - 900 yen, Stone-grilled Bibimbap, and a small Cold Noodle. By the way, the bibimbap can also be made into a large serving! It's been a while since I had stone-grilled bibimbap, and while it wasn't as mind-blowing as the first time I had it, the piping hot dish was delicious. The contrast with the egg yolk really enhanced the flavor d(≧▽≦*) (^^). The cold noodles were actually served first, but I wanted to savor the hot dish (^^). The cold noodles were quite authentic as well. There were several other menu options and they offer large servings; so it seems they can accommodate even those with a big appetite. There is a wide variety of meats available. Grilled meat cooked over seven wheels is irresistible. The drinks are also inexpensive, and ordering a platter makes for a surprisingly reasonable experience. The interior is clean, making it suitable not only for solo dining but also for dates. I definitely want to visit this place again.

I've been visiting this place for a long time, but its ratings are surprisingly low. Honestly, they serve meat that's one to two levels above what you'd expect for the price—it's the best! If you're looking for delicious meat at a reasonable price near Sakai Station, you absolutely have to check this place out. The thick-cut tongue should be grilled just right; crispy on the outside and rare on the inside. The harami (skirt steak) should be quickly grilled for the perfect texture. Just thinking about it makes me want to go again! The photos I took include thick-cut tongue, harami, and kalbi (short ribs), and there's even better stuff on the menu, which is amazing, right?

This was my nth visit, and this time I was able to take plenty of photos. Compared to the surrounding yakiniku restaurants, the quality of the meat here is a step above. I'm not a meat expert, but even to a layman, it's easy to see the difference. The cuts are large and filling. The tongue, rib eye, flank, and short rib are all satisfying even without ordering the premium options. They also offer inside cuts. The tongue comes in a platter showcasing various parts, and the intestine is noticeably large and a great value for the price. The fresh “senmai” (cow stomach) is also highly recommended. The hot stone-grilled bibimbap and small sundubu set lunch was 900 yen! I chose to have the bibimbap in a large serving, and it was really fulfilling and full of volume. It stayed hot until the very end, and I loved the crispy rice at the bottom! The sundubu also had adjustable spiciness, and even though I ordered the spicy option, the small size was still quite generous. It was a luxurious set, and I ended up with a very full stomach! Feeling a bit tipsy, I thought about exploring the area around Sakai Station while considering picking up a Toris highball to take home. As I reached Takakaya, I noticed a large menu outside. While looking at the drink options, I spotted aoi (碧) – it’s rare to find AO on the menu. Usually, you’d only see it in hotel bars, so I decided to go inside without hesitation. After checking out the interior, I ordered an AO highball, and I loved the glass it was served in. Taking my first sip, I found it very easy to drink! It’s inexpensive and doesn't have that typical bitterness. It felt a bit pricier than I expected, but for this quality, it's acceptable. The downside could be the sauce, as I hope it’s not too sweet. I’m looking forward to visiting again soon!

I entered with a friend. Since we had a bit to drink, we ordered highballs and lemon sours, and started with some quick bites: addictive cucumbers, a kimchi platter, and raw heart (hatsu sashimi). When the shichirin (charcoal grill) was brought to our table, it was seriously hot (lol)! We ordered grilled salt tongue and harami (beef skirt). That was it for the grilled items. After that, I texted our usual grill master on LINE to see if he could come, but he declined since he was busy, so we were on our own. My friend, ready to wrap things up, ordered a large bowl of white rice and started eating it wrapped with kimchi, so I decided to order some Korean cold noodles to keep up. The meat was finished, and we had a brief moment of calm at the table, marking the end of our long-awaited yakiniku (grilled meat) dinner. Surprisingly, we didn’t have any hormone dishes at this hormone restaurant (lol), but I really love their salt tongue, so I guess that’s how it goes!

I was introduced to a person working in Sakai and visited the restaurant. There are many shops around Sakai Station, but most of them aren't great. Although Takaya doesn't have a high rating on Tabelog, the reviews I read were quite positive, so I went there with some expectations. The heart yukhoe was delicious and I recommend it. I want to try the heart sashimi next time. I ordered the Takaya Mori, which consists of premium cuts of meat, and it was a great deal—highly recommended! The superior tongue was also delicious. At a different table, they ordered a course meal, and according to the manager's explanation, it wouldn't be possible to finish it all in two hours (laughs). Considering the price, quality, and portion size, the cost performance is outstanding! I drank a bottle of wine, so my bill went over 5,000 yen (laughs).

It had been a while since my business trip to Sakai, and since I wanted to have an early dinner, I took a stroll around Sakai Station. I entered the only restaurant that was open, which turned out to be a yakiniku (grilled meat) place. It seemed that the setup involved grilling meat over a charcoal grill right in front of me. Since I hadn’t had yakiniku in a while, I decided to splurge a little and ordered a platter of delicious looking beef tongue, thickly sliced short ribs, and a mixed platter of five types of offal, along with salted cabbage. As the meat quickly arrived, my appetite was stimulated! I started grilling and eating right away, and both the beef tongue and short ribs were thickly sliced, tender, and juicy - simply amazing! The offal was also plump and tasty. I was really glad I decided to come to this restaurant! Normally, when it comes to yakiniku, I would pair it with draft beer, but due to the current circumstances, I’ll refrain from commenting on the drinks. However, to wrap things up after thoroughly enjoying the yakiniku, I had a bowl of rice with raw egg, which was also fantastic! I would definitely like to revisit this place the next time I stay in Sakai!

The stone-grilled bibimbap for lunch is only 700 yen, which is cheap, juicy, and delicious—it's the best! In the past, it used to come out very hot with a nice crispy layer, but lately, there have been times when it hasn’t been like that, which is disappointing. If they could consistently serve it hot enough to get that crispy layer, it would be perfect! By the way, the curry is also incredibly delicious.

Compared to nearby yakiniku restaurants, I believe the quality of the meat here is excellent. Even the regular tongue is thick enough to satisfy, and I can only imagine how thick the thicker cuts must be. The kalbi is very juicy and pairs well with wasabi soy sauce. The harami is tender and makes you crave rice! The hormone typically shrinks and becomes quite small at regular places, but here it doesn’t shrink much at all and is huge! I’m always satisfied.

I walked in on a whim, but it was delicious cooked over charcoal! The service was great too!
