I don't really feel like writing a report on Marugame Seimen now, but I realized that the one in the food court opens early. This store opens at 10:00, while I was planning to go to the store-type Marugame Seimen for lunch. I feel like I got a little bonus, haha.

During the first half of Golden Week, I went to Shin-Sapporo to buy souvenirs for my in-laws and cakes. Since it was still early, I decided to have lunch first and headed to the food court. Many shops were not open yet, but Marugame Seimen, which offers reasonably priced meals, was open. I ordered the cold noodles with broth and two pieces of tempura. The food was served quickly, and it seemed like they had already boiled the noodles and just quickly heated them up before serving. It was convenient to have a quick and affordable meal at Marugame Seimen. Usually, it's very crowded, so I was glad to be able to dine there at an early hour.

It's the season for farewell parties. I couldn't join due to working the night shift, so I had a daytime drinking session with new bills after my night shift. I couldn't wait until 11:30, so I got hungry and had to eat udon noodles. At first it was empty, but then it got crowded. Marugame Seimen is really popular. I couldn't resist and bought freshly fried sweet potato tempura. It was deliciously sweet and tasty. I will definitely go back. Thank you for the meal! \(^o^)/

On a certain holiday, during the New Year season, I decided to have my first meal of the year at Marugame Seimen located in the food court at Kotobuki Chikagai, Sapporo Station. The restaurant opens at 10 am, which was convenient for me. The background music playing was traditional New Year's music with the sound of a koto. I didn't have any particular attachment to any item on the menu, but I decided to try something new - the "Red Pickled Ginger Egg Ankake Udon (regular size for 580 yen)" with an additional topping of "Tempura Seaweed (90 yen)". The staff kindly asked me if I could wait for about a minute as they wanted to serve me delicious udon. I took the first bite and found the thick, slightly soft, chewy noodles to be delicious. The warm egg ankake broth was thick and had a gentle flavor that coated the noodles well. The red pickled ginger tempura added a nice salty and sour taste that complemented the dish. The seaweed tempura topping was quite small, which made me wonder if it had always been that size. Overall, it was a warm and satisfying meal to start the year. Thank you for the delicious meal.

At AEON MALL underground second floor, there is a huge food court. Inside, there is a Marugame Seimen restaurant. Just so you know, there is a Marugame Seimen near my home, but I have never been there before and I don't understand the system here. It seems that you first order the base udon, choose the toppings you want, and then pay at the end. It's similar to Hanada-ya. Since it's a regular Marugame Seimen, I don't need to explain further, right?

I heard that Marugame Seimen's all-time most popular menu, Taru Toriten Bukkake Udon, has made a comeback, so I couldn't resist visiting. The udon comes topped with crispy fried chicken, tartar sauce, yuzu peel, onions, and watercress, making it a very filling dish! The fried chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, whether eaten on its own or dipped in the tartar sauce. The udon was freshly boiled, cold, and had a nice chewy texture. Despite its large portion, the refreshing toppings like yuzu peel and watercress made it delicious until the very end. I wish they would make it a regular menu item. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I ordered the new menu item, cold beef kimchi bukkake. The udon noodles were nicely chilled and had the usual firmness of Marugame Seimen, which was reassuring. The sweet and spicy beef and onions, crunchy and spicy kimchi, and gooey soft-boiled egg combination was very delicious. I was a bit disappointed last time, but Marugame Seimen is still delicious after all. Thank you for the meal.

I came to Marugame Seimen in the food court of Katapuri. The place is crowded with families with children, so if you don't like noise, it may not be suitable for you. I ordered the large portion of Toriten Terimayo Bukkake Udon. The staff mistakenly made a regular portion first, so it took extra time. When it arrived, the yolk was already broken and the presentation was disappointing. This menu consists of 4 pieces of crispy Toriten with teriyaki sauce, tartar sauce, and a yolk on top of bukkake udon. It's like a variation of the previously popular Tartar Toriten Bukkake. When I tried it, the crispy Toriten was very delicious, and being able to dip it in tartar sauce for flavor variation kept it interesting until the end. However, this time the udon was soft and lacked firmness, making it the most mediocre udon I've had. I hope they can improve their customer service and presentation a bit more. Thank you for the meal.

The combination of meat and udon is a classic choice with no disappointments! I chose the regular meat on udon and sweet potato tempura. The sweet flavor of the seasoned meat and the warm meat go well together. Both have a sweetness that seeps out as you chew, soothing the tired brain from work. The sweet potato tempura was just average. Thank you for the meal. I love Marukame's meat udon.

This is the food court in the vicinity of Shin-Sapporo Station. I tried various dishes, but I need to hurry and have a quick lunch before my main lunch appointment, which is coming up soon. Marugame is the fastest option! I had the bukkake udon for 300 yen and vegetable tempura for 140 yen. The vegetable tempura was big and delicious! However, I made a mistake by putting too much tenkasu on the bukkake udon, even though I had vegetable tempura. I wanted to have vegetable tempura on top of the udon, but it was too late to change it, so I just ate it as it was. The vegetable tempura soaked up the broth quickly, but I had to keep eating. The udon had a nice firm texture and was delicious as always. The tempura, especially the onion, was sweet and tasty! Marugame is definitely delicious! I can understand why there is always a long line. However, when I looked it up later, I found out that the vegetable tempura alone contains 659 calories, which was surprising. I thought it was okay because it's vegetables, but it turned out to be quite high in calories. I'll have to walk it off later! Thank you for the meal!

"I tried eating from the edge. Marugame Seimen① Niku Tamabukkake (regular, chilled) With coupon 650→550 yen. It's a dish where beef and onion, similar to the ingredients of gyudon, are sprinkled on top of udon noodles. The flavor is slightly strong. Maybe it would have been better hot. Actually, can't they just serve gyudon?"

I had lunch in Shin-Sapporo... There are few unvisited restaurants around Katepuri. I visited Marugame Seimen. It's rare not to wait in line at Marugame during lunchtime, but it was not crowded when I arrived a little before 12. I ordered the "Warm Udon (regular) for 300 yen" and "Vegetable Tempura for 140 yen." They generously topped the udon with green onions. The udon had a slight slimy texture on the surface and the noodles were not very firm. The tempura was crispy, but a bit oily. However, considering the price, I was satisfied with the meal. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Curry udon for both lunch and dinner. While wandering around the New Sapporo station during a transfer, I planned to eat seafood ankake udon, but it was sold out. Since I was in the mood for udon, I ordered curry udon and realized that it was also curry udon for lunch. I added squid tempura and fish cake tempura as toppings and paid for my meal. The chewy handmade udon noodles, light broth, and slightly salty curry sauce with simple ingredients like fried tofu and green onions. I quickly finished my meal and headed home on the transfer train. I think I prefer cold or plain udon. Thank you for the meal.

Maybe, life is like going to Marugame Seimen for the second time. I don't use it often, but today I'm at the food court in Katte Pri, so I'm having lunch. However... I always end up getting too many toppings because they look so good (>_<) The tempura is huge!! I got the large serving of meat udon and onigiri, and inari sushi! I'm so full! (laughs) But the udon has a nice chewy texture and it's really smooth! The only downside is that the soup is a bit lukewarm, but it can't be helped. Next time, I'll try to resist getting too many toppings. Thank you for the meal.

I headed to Shin-Sapporo to finish my last errand from Makomanai. After getting my task done, I decided to have a light dinner in Shin-Sapporo and ended up in a food court. I thought of having something light, but then I spotted Marugame Seimen, which is not near my house. I decided to go there. In the past, I visited Kotohira-gu Shrine on a solo trip and indulged in Sanuki udon. Now, I wondered how this chain restaurant, which doesn't pre-cook their noodles, would be. The prices were reasonable, similar to the authentic ones. I was planning to order bukkake udon, but after wandering around tired, I accidentally ordered kake udon. I actually like kake udon, so I didn't correct it. It cost 290 yen. Honestly, it's cheap. The noodles were freshly boiled. It's a self-service style like in the authentic restaurants. I chose lotus root tempura, topped it with tenkasu and green onions for 400 yen. I sat at an empty seat and started eating. The noodles had a decent chewiness. The broth was light and refreshing, unlike some authentic places that tend to be a bit sweet. The lotus root tempura was moderately sized, and I enjoyed it with the dipping sauce. Considering it's a chain restaurant and the price, I was quite satisfied. I wished they had one near my house.

I asked a senior at work, and apparently if you add 10 levels of spiciness it's an extra 100 yen, and 100 levels is an extra 1000 yen! So, a bowl of udon costs 1650 yen (lol). You need to get tickets online for 50 and 100 levels of spiciness in advance, and show them at the store to place your order. It seems like a bit of an exaggeration or a playful gimmick. It's a limited-time offer, so I decided to try it as a joke. It's a bit embarrassing, so I aimed for a less crowded time. The udon with extra spiciness was 1650 yen. It comes with a soft-boiled egg as a relief measure. My husband ordered his usual spicy kamatama udon for 520 yen, with grated yam topping for 70 yen, squid tempura for 120 yen, and quail tempura for 140 yen. It takes a bit of time, but they bring it to your table. The udon was bright red with chili oil, and upon closer inspection, there were spinach, meat miso, and bonito powder sprinkled on top. It wasn't very spicy, but the saltiness was a bit overwhelming. The sesame paste was rich, but it had separated and sunk to the bottom. It splattered chili oil on my clothes as I ate it. The soft-boiled egg was probably delicious if eaten normally, my husband thought. I was curious to try it because it was advertised as extremely spicy, but it was disappointing that it wasn't. I doubt I will ever pay 1650 yen for a bowl of udon at Marugame Seimen again. It was a memorable experience.

I came back after a long time because I really wanted udon! The chikuwa tempura and squid tempura were delicious. The udon was chewy and satisfying. I ordered a large size, but it felt like a regular portion. Thank you for the meal!
