In June 2022, I noticed many banners along the road and decided to stop by out of curiosity. There was a stylish shop in front of a large and impressive house. The shop was not very spacious, but they were selling vegetables and meat products from the Meat Shop Gotenzan in Nishi Ward, Sapporo. I bought broccoli, Gotenzan sausages, and hormone. The sausages were not greasy, had a meaty texture, and tasted delicious, similar to salami. They were great grilled but also worked well when stir-fried with other ingredients. The hormone had no strong taste and suited my preference.

The meat products are from Meat Shop Gotenzan in Nishi-ku, Sapporo. The store is located along the Maizuru Oiwake Line (Prefectural Road 226), just up the hill from the Oiwake town area. It's about a 40-50 minute walk from Oiwake Station on the JR line. On June 30, 2022, at 10:00, I visited for the first time. On this day, I went to Yubari to eat curry soba and enjoy the hot springs. The route was chosen by Mogutan, so it's a super geeky route that even goes through agricultural roads. There are no restaurants, convenience stores, vegetable stands, or even vending machines, making it a tough route for summer cycling. When I passed by here before, there were signs for hormone dishes, vegetable stands, and flags! So, I decided to stop by this time. At the entrance of the store, there are deer antlers, and the parking lot is filled with classic cars. The entrance has an American-style English lettering decoration. I bought broccoli for 150 yen. It was fresh and delicious, almost like freshly picked. I lightly boiled it and ate about half of it as is. The rest was mixed into a stir-fry the next day. I also bought 5 green peppers for 40 yen each. The green peppers were also decent. I'd like to come back when the alley tomatoes are in season.
