This Swiss roll cake is recommended! I received it as a gift, and it's wrapped in cute packaging featuring Peko-chan. The white roll cake is fluffy, and the cream inside has a unique gentle sweetness, not just regular whipped cream. It's very delicious and a taste that can only be found at Fujiya. Highly recommended. I also tried a limited edition cake baton cake for 1000 yen. The bottom is a regular sponge cake, the top is a chocolate sponge, and there are crispy chocolate cookie-like pieces scattered throughout the middle and on top, adding a nice accent. It's worth the price. Fujiya is popular with families with children.

The shop I visited this time is the Hanakawa Minami store in Ishikari City, which is a branch of Fujiya. Although it has been a few years since it was released, it still feels fresh for those who grew up eating Milky candies. This roll cake, consciously made with Milky in mind, is a product with a white fluffy sponge filled with plenty of Milky cream. I couldn't resist buying it. When I brought it home and opened it, it was delicious! The sweet aroma spreads. I took a bite. Mmm, delicious. The taste of milk stands out. And the fluffy texture. It's irresistible. This roll cake makes you feel like you want to have the whole thing to yourself. Nostalgic...

Peko-chan's cheeks, chocolate cream, custard, Milky cream (each 108 yen) are available at a supermarket I visited. I suddenly had a craving for Peko-chan's cheeks and decided to buy them. I used to visit the restaurant at Fujiya a lot when I was a child with my mother, and as an adult with colleagues or friends, for lunch or to buy Peko-chan's cheeks. Unfortunately, there are no restaurants in Hokkaido now. I've been wanting to visit the factory direct store in Fukuju, but haven't had the chance yet. It's been about 15 years since I last bought Peko-chan's cheeks. When I opened them, they seemed a little smaller than before, but maybe it's just my imagination? I tried the Milky cream. I was curious about the taste of Milky cream, and it turned out to have a subtle milky flavor, just as the name suggests. I tried both the Milky cream and custard, but I still prefer the classic custard. It says on the package that "domestic wheat flour is used for a fluffy and moist texture." It does indeed have a fluffy and moist texture. By the way, one Peko-chan cheek provides about half the calcium content of 100cc of milk.
