"Gamousmile" is a restaurant located in Osaka City, Joto Ward, behind the Sandrag in the Joto Shopping Street, just a 2-minute walk from the Kamon Shichome Station on the Osaka Metro Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line. They serve delicious ramen starting from 7 am, and I had the pleasure of trying their summer limited edition dish, the "Chilled Conger Eel Broth Ramen" for 1,100 yen, as well as their limited quantity "Tuna Bowl" for 600 yen. The chilled ramen had a refreshing touch with the seasonal delicacy of conger eel, topped with plum paste, vinegar, and bamboo shoot menma. The rich flavor of the conger eel broth soy sauce soup combined perfectly with the smooth and firm noodles, creating an incredibly delicious dish. The tuna bowl featured a mix of lean tuna and fatty tuna, providing a delightful combination of flavors. "Gamousmile" is located at 1-11-5 Imafukunishi, Joto Ward, Osaka City, with a phone number of 06-6932-5456. They are open from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, closed on Mondays, and offer a smoke-free environment. No parking is available, so it's recommended to take the Osaka Metro Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line and get off at Kamon Shichome Station, 5th exit, just a 2-minute walk away."

I arrived at 11:10 AM and was able to slip into a gap without waiting outside. It's a ticket system, so I bought a ticket at the machine. This time, I purchased the "mixed noodles with doteyaki". After purchasing the ticket, I grabbed chopsticks and a cup near the ticket machine and headed to my seat. I was seated at the back of the restaurant. The BGM in the restaurant was playing recent J-pop songs, and the bass was really booming through the speakers. The noodles arrived in about 7 minutes! I quickly mixed it up! The light attribute noodles, egg, and dark attribute doteyaki sauce blended together. The chaos mixed noodles have arrived! I took a bite immediately... The soy sauce base was sweet and spicy with a nice hint of acidity, not as strong as it looks. I could also taste the punch of garlic, but it was mild. The noodles were Tokuoka's original flat, medium noodles, chewy and bouncy, holding up well against the flavorful sauce. I love Tokuoka's noodles! The beef tendons were simmered to melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, spreading a sweet fat flavor in the mouth. The konjac, a must-have with doteyaki, was jelly-like and delicious with the soy sauce glaze. The bamboo shoots were crunchy, yet soft, prepared just right. I slurped up the noodles with ease and finished it all! They open in the morning, so it might be a good place to get a morning ramen fix when you need a boost. Enjoy!

The salt ramen with flavored hagfish and seasoned egg was priced at ¥1,100 (tax included). The interior of the restaurant was very clean. The hagfish was not well deboned, but it was cooked perfectly. The noodles were quite soft, but not bad. The chashu was not too fatty and had a nice pork flavor, which I liked. The flavored egg was similar to what you find at other ramen shops, so nothing special there. The soup was excellent - it had a mild saltiness with a rich broth, giving it a completely Japanese taste. Overall, the flavor was gentle and lacked a strong punch, which is why I find it surprising that it received a high rating close to 3.7.

First visit to this shop. Arrived at 8:30 with no wait. What to order? Hamo salt ramen (950 yen). Impressions? Both the soup and noodles have a gentle flavor. After eating ramen, sometimes you may feel thirsty due to excessive salt, but here even after finishing the soup, you won't feel the need for water, which is nice. The hamo, chashu, and menma are delicious, and I also want to try the soy sauce ramen. I've been wanting to go to this shop for a long time. It was my first experience with morning ramen, but it's actually quite good. [Anything else to convey?] Go straight down the shopping street and turn left. Be careful not to miss the turn! (^_^;)

I received a 1000 yen mixed noodles with doteyaki from a shop that opens early in the morning. As the name suggests, the doteyaki mixed noodles had originality and were delicious. It's great to be able to enjoy this quality early in the morning.

A ramen shop that is open from 7am to 3pm. I visited for the first time around 9:30am and ordered their limited edition Chilled Hamo Salt Ramen. It was a hot day, so the cold ramen was perfect. The hamo (pike conger) was expertly deboned, and the plum meat and ramen soup were perfectly balanced. The shop was clean and bright, with only counter seats available. They use a ticket vending machine system.

Visited a ramen shop in the morning, cycling about 60 km in total. It was my first visit, as last time they were closed for summer break. I ordered the basic menu item, soy sauce ramen, with char siu, bamboo shoots, and green onions. The clear soy sauce broth was not like traditional ramen soup, but more refined with a good balance of umami and richness. Surprisingly, there was plenty of chicken oil floating on top, but the aftertaste was refreshing. The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles, with a chewy and smooth texture. The char siu had a good balance of pork sweetness and flavor, not too soft or too firm. The bamboo shoots were also enjoyable with a crunchy texture. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

This is Gamou Smile. It's morning ramen before work. It's around 8:30 am, right after getting off at Gamou Yonchome, and there are quite a few customers even at this time. There's even a line forming after me. This time I tried the Chashu Mazesoba. It's my first time trying this menu. It comes with rice. The mazesoba has flat, medium-thick noodles with a chewy texture, and the garlic-infused sauce mixes well and tastes delicious. The texture of the green onions is also good. The red onions and the rich sauce complement each other well and taste delicious. The sliced bamboo shoots have a nice crunch and taste delicious when mixed with the sauce. The cubed chashu has a good chewy texture with a mix of fatty meat that tastes delicious. The thinly sliced chashu is also meaty and has a good chewy texture that tastes delicious. Adding wasabi makes it slightly milder and goes well with the dish. Okra is served with the rice, making for a delicious side dish. Of course, putting chashu on top of the rice is delicious too. After finishing the noodles, mix the remaining sauce and chashu with the rice for the finishing touch. The garlic-infused sauce with rice is also delicious. It was a hearty and delicious meal from the morning.

Around 11 o'clock, I visited the restaurant after a long time. There were two customers before me. It was lucky that there were seats available because it was hot. I ordered the chicken white broth ramen and the summer limited edition chilled noodles with conger eel broth. It took about 7 minutes for the dishes to be served. The soy sauce broth with the sweetness of the conger eel combined well with the thoroughly chilled noodles. There were two large pieces of conger eel and some plum paste on top. The texture of the conger eel itself was not great, but the thin noodles had a good volume and matched well with the chilled flavor.

Located a little off the shopping street of Pumonishi-chome, this ramen shop is a popular spot run by a former manager of Tsurumen Osaka Castle Kita-zume store. I visited at 8 am and there was only one customer ahead of me. The shop's specialty is soy sauce ramen, but this time I ordered the chicken white broth ramen. The soup was thick and creamy, with a rich flavor combining the umami of chicken and the depth of the seasoning. The noodles were straight, flat and medium-thin, smooth and slippery with a pleasant chewy texture. The char siu was lightly seared, tender and paired perfectly with the soup. Being able to enjoy such delicious ramen from 7 am is just fantastic.

Today is the last day of my trip to Osaka. For lunch, I came to this restaurant. They open from 7am, but I arrived around 10am and there were 4 people waiting ahead of me. I was told to buy a meal ticket first, so I purchased the Doteyaki Maze Soba for 1000 yen. This time, I didn't add rice. I handed the meal ticket to the staff and waited again. After about 5 minutes, I was seated. The food arrived quickly. It looked delicious with the egg yolk, doteyaki, and menma. I mixed it all together. When I finished mixing, I took a bite. The chewy flat noodles were delicious as they mixed together. There was plenty of doteyaki, which was satisfying. The menma was crunchy and good too. In the end, I was full and managed to finish it all. Osaka was great. There were only delicious things. I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

Chicken Paitan Ramen with Medium Thick Curly Noodles (Chicken + Soy Sauce, 950 yen) ★★★★ The soup is a soy sauce flavored chicken-based broth. The noodles are medium thick curly noodles. The toppings include pork shoulder chashu, chopped green onions, chopped white onions, chopped purple onions, and bamboo shoots. The white broth soup, made from black Satsuma chicken, is enhanced with plenty of chicken oil and a rounded soy sauce seasoning, resulting in a rich and flavorful finish that brings out the concentrated umami of the chicken. The noodles are from "Menya Taiho" and have a firm and chewy texture that pairs well with the soup. The large chashu slices are tender and full of meaty flavor, making them very delicious. You can enjoy a change in taste with the provided black pepper and shichimi pepper. I enjoyed this ramen as part of their morning menu, available from 7 am with their shutter open. Highly recommended for the soup! (2023.08.19 Gamou Smile) [Main Menu] Soy Sauce Ramen: 950 yen, Buri Salt Ramen: 950 yen, Chicken Paitan Ramen: 950 yen, Chicken Salt Ramen: 950 yen, White Tsukemen Regular: 1000 yen Large: 1150 yen, Chashu Mazesoba: 1000 yen, Doden-yaki Mazesoba: 1000 yen, Spicy Curry Mazesoba: 1000 yen, Flavored Egg: +150 yen, Chashu: +600 yen.

Chilled conger eel dashi ramen for 1100 yen. One of the few ramen shops in Osaka that serves morning ramen. I've been curious about it for a while and finally had the chance to visit. While the classic ramen is the usual choice, I fell for the seasonal limited bias and ordered the chilled conger eel ramen. It arrived shortly. The appearance was three large conger eels with two pieces of ground plum, pointed bamboo shoots, and white onions. The color scheme was cool and pleasant. I took a sip of the soup. Huh? Hmm? Then I slurped the noodles. Wow, delicious!! The noodles were incredibly smooth and had an amazing texture! I didn't know that ramen could have this kind of texture when chilled! It went down so smoothly and felt really satisfying. The soup had a strong conger eel flavor at first, which caught me off guard. This initial unique flavor might be divisive among people's preferences. However, when mixed with vinegar and ground plum, the soup turned into a delicious, cold broth as if it was designed to come together perfectly. Truly well done! The conger eel's unique oil was also present, as you can see the rainbow-colored oil floating in the photos. It was a light and not greasy oil. The restaurant had good ventilation with proper airflow, which was reassuring. Most surprising was seeing people enjoying ramen so much early in the morning. There were many other delicious-looking ramen options, so I now have more places to consider when I crave ramen in the morning. Today, I had a refreshing ramen, so it seems like it won't affect the rest of my day much. However, next time I visit, I'd like to try a hearty bowl of ramen and see how it affects me afterward. Thank you, RAMEN Gamou Smile, for the delicious ramen. Grazie!

I visited around 2 pm on a weekday. There wasn't a long line since it was past 2 pm, but customers kept coming in and the restaurant was always full. It took about 10 minutes for the ramen to arrive after being seated. I had the Ajitama Shio Hamo Ramen. At first, I thought it was a bit bland, but as I continued eating, the perfect balance of saltiness worked well. It didn't quite reach the level of being impressed enough to want to come back, but it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

"I visited "Gamou Smile" in Higashiyama Ward and tried their "Shiratama Tsukemen" for 1000 yen. The dipping broth is made from black Satsuma chicken and has a low viscosity soy sauce base with a hint of spiciness. The well-balanced soy sauce tare enhances the rich umami of the chicken broth, with a hint of acidity creating a smooth and flavorful taste. The noodles are thick, straight, flat noodles from "Menya Teiho" and have a good chewy texture with a firm bite. The large chunks of tender pork char siu in the dipping broth are well-seasoned and add a delicious meaty flavor. You can also change the taste by adding pepper or shichimi on the table."

This is a bowl, I think it's crowded everywhere, so I went for morning ramen. I visited my favorite place here. I arrived at 9 am and there was only one customer ahead of me. I didn't have to wait in line to enter. I had the cold conger eel ramen, which I love. First, the cold soup. The cold soy-flavored soup with a good amount of oil has a strong flavor. The saltiness is on the stronger side, but it's just right for the cold soup and perfect for summer. The noodles are thin and chewy, delicious on their own and great with the soup. And the conger eel, so delicious. A large piece of conger eel. I started with just the conger eel. The bones were perfectly removed, and it was placed on top of the ramen, which was a bit unusual. I would like to enjoy it with vinegar miso as a side dish. The menma was soft and seasoned a bit stronger. It was delicious. I would also like to enjoy it as a side dish. The seasoned egg on top had a runny yolk. Finally, I finished all the soup. Thank you for the meal. Cold conger eel ramen is a perfect choice for a hot summer day.

Today's first stop is "Ramen Gamou Smile" in Gamou Yonchome. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and since they are currently serving a limited summer menu of cold ramen, I decided to purchase the "Cold Hamo Dashi Ramen" from the ticket machine. The dish has arrived. First, I'll start with the soup. The soup has a fish-based hamo dashi broth with a soy sauce base. It has a slightly thick consistency. The noodles are smooth, chewy, and thin straight noodles. The toppings include hamo (pike conger eel), umeboshi (pickled plum), menma (bamboo shoots), and sliced sudachi (a type of citrus fruit). The menma is made from young bamboo shoots. Itadakimasu!

Popular ramen restaurant in Kamishina, which operates in the morning. This time, I ordered the summer limited chilled conger eel broth ramen. It had large pieces of blanched conger eel on top, and the broth was rich and delicious. The noodles had a good texture and were easy to eat. The flavor of the broth was good, but I wish it had been colder. I would like to try their morning ramen next time.

My wife and I visited the restaurant at 7 am. The interior had only counter seats with about 10 people seated, so we had to wait a bit. I ordered the soy sauce ramen with seasoned egg, while my wife had the salted eel ramen with seasoned egg. At first, I thought the ramen bowls looked a bit small, but I was mistaken. They were actually filled with plenty of noodles, and by the time we finished, we were full. The soy sauce ramen had a light flavor, perfect for a morning meal. The salted eel ramen had a refreshing citrus aroma and was very delicious.

This is Ramen Gamou Smile. It's been really hot for the past 2-3 days at the end of the month. It's already hot in the morning. So, I had ramen for breakfast. It was around 8:30 am, the restaurant was almost full, but I managed to find a seat quickly after buying my meal ticket. After that, there was a long line. What did I order this time? It's been a while since I had it, but I got the Doteyaki Maze Soba set. It came with rice as well. The noodles were medium-thick, flat noodles from "Igaku Ramen," with a soup base made with Doteyaki, topped with green onions, bamboo shoots, seasoned egg, and Doteyaki made from konjac and beef tendon. There was also a raw egg yolk in the middle, which you mix well before eating. The soup from the Doteyaki was sweet and savory, and it mixed well with the noodles. The bamboo shoots were crunchy and tender, the seasoned egg was perfectly flavored, the konjac had a nice texture, and the beef tendon was tender and flavorful. The Doteyaki side dish went well with the rice. After finishing the noodles, of course, I mixed the rice with the remaining sauce, which was delicious. It was a sweet and savory meal that I hadn't had in a while, and it was really tasty.
