I was able to take a weekday off with paid leave, so my wife and I went out for lunch at Itoshima Yakiniku Akatsuki in Minamidaito. I was able to make a same-day reservation through Tabelog. We ordered the Akatsuki Kalbi & Roast Lunch and the Sagara Lunch, along with additional premium hormone and drinks (beer). The lunch prices were quite reasonable, both around 1680 yen (excluding tax). The portion sizes of the meat were substantial. The Akatsuki Kalbi, which is named after the restaurant, looked gorgeous with nice marbling and was very delicious with just the right amount of fat. The Sagara was also tasty, and I would recommend it for those who aren’t fond of fatty beef (like me). The additional premium hormone we ordered was the best of the day! It was around 980 yen, which is reasonable for premium hormone, and it had generous portions. You can refill your rice, soup, and kimchi. The rice was shiny and white, which made it very appetizing. The kimchi was so delicious that it paired perfectly with plain white rice. Although I felt like I overindulged, I ended up refilling all three: rice, kimchi, and soup (sweating). Enjoying delicious meat with a little buzz in the afternoon made for a very happy time.

I have been visiting since the Nullbon era, going once a year. This time, I came for the first time since it became Akatsuki. There used to be an all-you-can-eat option, but this time I ordered a small amount of meat and bibimbap. The staff asked if I wanted them to mix the bibimbap for me. The all-you-can-eat option starts at 5,500 yen for adults, and the atmosphere was more relaxed compared to the past. I was satisfied with my meal, which cost around 2,300 yen per person.

This restaurant was originally located at the same spot as Nullbon Minamikaze-dai. When I asked the staff if the name of the restaurant had changed, they informed me that it's still part of the same chain. I visited during my birthday month, so I was able to use an app to get a 10% discount! The yakiniku was quite filling, especially the 8,500 yen pair set. We went as a family of four—my husband, me, our 6-year-old son, and our 11-year-old daughter—and found that the pair set was just right, along with a few extra items we ordered. Personally, I thought the domestic beef heart and special rib were delicious. All the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

I visited a yakiniku chain in Fukuoka called the Nurubon Group, which recently changed its name from Nurubon to Itoshima Yakiniku Akatsuki. I made a reservation through Tabelog and went there for lunch. The lunch menu was quite extensive. Each meal came as a set, including a salad, soup, rice, and kimchi (all available for refills). Since it was just my wife and me, we ordered the Akatsuki Kalbi & Roast Lunch and the Sagari Lunch, along with an additional order of Premium Hormone.
First, the soup and salad were both delicious. The soup had a distinctive flavor of sesame and chili oil, and I ended up getting a refill. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, possibly from Itoshima, and the dressing was tasty. The meat was also very good. For the price, it was quite flavorful—definitely a great value. The sagari was light and easy to eat while the kalbi had a rich sweetness from the fat and a wonderful meaty flavor. Especially, the premium hormone we ordered separately was incredibly delicious, comparable to what you would find at a high-end yakiniku restaurant.
The staff provided very attentive and excellent service, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant lunchtime. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Nuru Bon Garden in Itoshima has reopened as Itoshima Yakiniku Akatsuki. The parking lot is shared with the neighboring Steak Garden Kaze no Ie. They offer a variety of set menus and individual items in a DIY grilling style, providing flexibility in your choices. The drink menu is almost the same as that of Kaze no Ie. It’s enjoyable to explore two different restaurants to find your preferred cuts of meat and alternate between them.

I wanted to eat a lot, so I went to Akatsuki. I occasionally visit the neighboring restaurant, Kaze no Kiyu, but this was my first time eating at Akatsuki. Since I was there, I opted for a course meal.
◎ Banquet Course: It included appetizers (salad and kimchi), meat, and a rice dish. We could choose from several options for the rice dish, and we decided to share the stone bowl bibimbap and Korean cold noodles. There were two types of sauces available (soy sauce-based and fruit-based), as well as lemon juice (really just lemon!) and salt on the table.
All the meat had no unpleasant odor, and when you bite into it, you feel the juicy umami and sweetness. The marinated meat that was served had just the right amount of flavor, not too strong. I was impressed by how sweet the fat of the Hakata wagyu is. The stone bowl bibimbap was served hot in a stone pot, and they provided gochujang on the side. The cold noodles were lightly seasoned, with vinegar and soy sauce served separately, which was very thoughtful.
It’s nice that you can adjust the taste to each person's preference! They also offer free corn tea, which I recommend having after the meal. We spent about an hour there! I was satisfied with a casual and hearty meal.

I had never been to Nurubon before, but I had heard from my relatives that it was delicious, so I visited Akatsuki, which just opened this year. It was my husband's birthday, and the staff's service was excellent, making our experience truly satisfying. The location is great, and there are many other restaurants I want to try nearby. I plan to revisit this place for my birthday in December!

After watching a women's golf tournament, I stopped by a nearby yakiniku restaurant. I had some good quality meat, rice, and kimchi soup, and I ordered three sets of refills.

On Sunday evening, I made a takeout reservation and went to pick it up at 5:30 PM. There were a few other customers there as well. I had occasionally used takeout bento from Nurubon in the past, and this time I ordered the premium loin and premium rib bento (2000 yen). The wet towels were the same as when I visited Nurubon, which brought back memories. The shape of the meat, which used to be nicely square like in the photos, was a bit uneven today. The seasoning was robust, and I enjoyed it very much.
