Even on regular days, there's always a long line at this super popular bagel shop that sells out quickly! Let's sneak into Happy Camper Bagel shop and see what the hype is all about. 📍Location: Osaka, Osaka Prefecture 🚇 Nearest Station: Approximately 4 minutes on foot from Ogimachi Station 📝 Description: A stylish bagel specialty shop with a warm wooden exterior located in Tenjinbashi-suji 3-chome. The shop opens at 11 am, but there's always a line forming an hour before opening due to its popularity. Let's dive into the details! ▲ Key Points to Remember ▲ - On a weekday, sunny day at 12:15 pm, there were 6 people waiting outside. - Cash payment only. - Each group can buy up to 6 of one type of bagel, totaling 12 bagels. Only 2 people allowed inside the shop at a time. - The staff mentioned that they would soon be sold out when people were still lining up, even though it was just over an hour since opening! - Bagels are made without eggs, butter, margarine, or shortening. ▲ Must-Check Charming Points ▲ - The interior of the shop is made of wood, giving off a cozy Disney-like vibe. It's adorable! 🥤 Blueberry Milk Tea - ¥270 A decent size drink at a great price. The bagel is soft and chewy, with a nice bounce and texture. The blueberry and subtle milk tea flavors blend well, creating a refreshing and fruity taste. Surprisingly, the combination of blueberry and milk tea works perfectly! 🌰 Chestnut and Uji Matcha - ¥300 Sweet chestnuts add a nutty flavor, while the Uji matcha provides a subtle taste. A delightful bagel where you can enjoy the flavors of chestnut and matcha. 🌰 Pecan Nuts and Cinnamon - ¥270 The cinnamon aroma is strong, with a crispy sugary texture and a hint of sweetness. The cinnamon sugar flavor with pecan nuts is a winning combination. 🍫 Chocolate - ¥270 Loaded with chocolate inside and out, this bagel is perfect for chocolate lovers. The chocolate sauce and cranberries add a nice touch, making it a great pair with coffee. 💭 Overall, the bagels at Happy Camper Bagel are delicious and worth the wait. Don't miss out on this popular spot in Osaka! 🏠 Shop Information 🏠 📸 Official Instagram 📍 Address: 3-7-24 Tenjinbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture 📞 Phone: 06-6358-1522 📅 Closed on Sundays ⏰ Operating Hours: 11:00 am onwards (until sold out)

The trendy friends lined up for me. The best birthday present!!!! The softness that is not compatible with the bagel guillotine. But it's still satisfying. I wish all bagels in the world were like this type... Maybe even the original Jewish people don't know about it (maybe?... lol). Thank you for the meal!! Someday I will line up by myself!!

Just a 5-minute walk south from JR Temma Station in Osaka♪ Located in the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, "Happy Camper Bagel"! The store opens at 11 am, but on some days, they sell out before noon. Essentially, it's a super rare store that only operates for about an hour at lunchtime♡ As soon as the store opened, a long line formed, with people gradually lining up before that. Around 10:30 am, the area around the store was quite crowded with people observing the situation. By the time the store opened at 11 am, there was already a line of about 1 hour wait (there was a risk of not being able to buy even if you lined up from there). It has become a sort of status symbol to say "I bought this by lining up in this line"… there is an unspoken agreement on when to start lining up. The store only sells items, no eat-in options. Choose quickly and buy to take home!! And of course, the only option to buy is the bagel♡ With a wide variety of options, you might get overwhelmed by the choices. The "Bagel (Plain)" (displayed 200 yen, tax included 216 yen) is a bagel that separates nicely when torn, with a lovely aroma. It's fluffy and you can feel the chewiness. When you press lightly with your fingers and release... it bounces back with a good elasticity! When you taste it, it has a flavorful taste♡ The top of the bagel has a slightly sweet taste, which adds to the deliciousness. It is indeed tasty, but after lining up for so long, you might end up with a straightforward impression of "Is this the level of deliciousness after all that lining up?". It might be a nice item to receive as a gift or to buy, but you might end up with a feeling of "It's okay, it's quite delicious for a bagel" (probably because lining up to buy it is quite challenging). After making your choice, they carefully put each bagel into a bag, which is a good customer service (although if this is one of the reasons for the long wait, it might be a bit questionable). The store operates with a retail sales format, which is not bad, but it seems to not be in line with the current situation or reality. The atmosphere of the store might not be fully enjoyable, so it gets a neutral rating. Nevertheless, the fact that there is a long line every day for this bagel from "Happy Camper Bagel" is undeniable♪ It's a fact that it must be a wonderfully delicious taste for people to line up like that... it depends on individual preferences and how you feel about it♡ (It's on the tastier side for a bagel! (my personal opinion)) This bagel from "Happy Camper Bagel" is definitely worth trying at least once. It might be quite challenging to buy, but if you have the chance, why not visit and try it out~※Closed on Sundays. Early lining up should also be considerate of the neighborhood! [Tabelog rating 3.68 (at the time of visit)]

I arrived around 11:30 on Saturday and there were about 5 groups waiting in line. I was able to enter in less than 10 minutes. There were about 5 types of bagels available, and I bought the one with sausages inside that didn't look like a typical bagel. I ate it while walking and the sausages were juicy and delicious. The other bagels I bought were warm when I purchased them, but when I ate them the following day, they had lost their chewy texture and weren't as good. Eating them right after buying is the best way to enjoy them.

Located in the famous Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street in Japan, there is a bagel shop called "Happy Camper Bagel." The name "Happy Camper" is slang for "cheerful" in English. The shop is known for selling out within 2 hours of opening, which is quite surprising. It is about a 10-minute walk south from JR Temma Station. I arrived at around 10:40 am on a weekday and was about 10th in line. The shop opened at 11:00 am, and I was able to enter around 11:15 am. Since it's only for takeout, the turnover is quick. The shopping street arcade was surprisingly windless, and it was quite hot, making the wait uncomfortable. However, the joy of finally making a purchase was worth it. The menu includes plain, red bean, fig & hazelnut, chestnut & Uji matcha, and walnut bagels ranging from 200 to 300 yen each. I don't usually eat bagels because they tend to be dense and tiring to chew, but the bagels here were different. The dough was light with a subtle wheat aroma and sweetness. The texture was soft and chewy. Even though one bagel was satisfying, I found myself wanting more. The ingredients like figs and chestnuts were generously mixed into the dough, adding to the overall satisfaction. The long lines and sellouts make sense now. I would love to try other flavors in the future. Notes: Maximum of 2 people allowed in the shop at a time. Cash payment only. Limit of 6 of each type, total of 12 bagels per purchase.

"Happy Camper Bagel" Osaka, Ogimachi Subway Sakaisuji Line Ogimachi Station Tamba Black Bean and Black Sesame Anko Bagel Takeout. There is always a line before opening, a popular bagel specialty store. The chewy craft and mochi mochi dough are delicious! The anko bagel has walnuts in the dough, which goes well with the lightly sweetened anko. The black bean and black sesame bagel has plenty of sweetened black beans in the black sesame-scented dough, which is delightful. Both are delicious, and you can choose the type of bagel you prefer."

From Sakamachi Station, a 3-minute walk away, there is a small bagel specialty shop called Happy Camper Bagel located in the shopping street! Even before opening on weekdays, there were already 6 groups waiting in line. It's a very popular shop! When the shop opened and the door opened, the smell of bagels was soothing. They only allow 2 people to enter at a time, so I had to wait for about 15 minutes even after they opened. The shopping street had a roof, so it was okay even if it rained. These bagels are made without using shortening or butter, which made me excited to try them. There was a limit of 6 pieces of one type, totaling 12 pieces per purchase, but since it was my first time, I bought one each of Plain, Sweet Bean Paste, Matcha with Chestnut, Berry, and Fig with Nuts. The bagels were still warm when I got them. I couldn't wait to eat them! I had the Sweet Bean Paste bagel while it was still hot. It tasted like a healthy sweet bean paste bun with walnuts, which left me slightly unsatisfied. I had high expectations, so I was a bit surprised that it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be (maybe because it was my first time having a sweet bean paste bun, and I ended up comparing it to a regular one...?). However, when I tried the Plain bagel, I was truly impressed by its deliciousness! When I got home, I sandwiched ham and cream cheese between the Plain bagel and ate it without toasting it. Even though it was just a simple ham and cream cheese sandwich made with items from a regular supermarket, the taste was on a whole different level. The flavor of the wheat made the ham and cheese taste so much better than usual, and it was more delicious than any other bagel I had ever eaten. I finally understood why it's so popular! I would want to eat this every day...! The Matcha with Chestnut bagel had big, sweet chestnuts in it, which made it luxurious. The Berry bagel, when frozen and then baked on a different day, had blueberry juice oozing out and tasted delicious! The Fig with Nuts bagel also allowed me to taste the ingredients clearly. I paired the Berry and Fig bagels with cream cheese, and they were also delicious. I felt that combining the bagels with other ingredients and lightly cooking them made them even tastier than eating them on their own. Personally, I thought the Plain bagel was incredibly delicious, and I wanted to try combining it with various toppings. Thank you for the meal!

It had been a while since I visited the Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. I left home with the intention of buying a bagel. Last time I went, there were hardly any left, and I didn't like the ones available, so I didn't buy any. This time, I started lining up at 11:10 a.m. There was already a long line... I waited for about 25 minutes until I entered the store, but I was able to buy what I wanted and I am satisfied. There was a couple behind me who asked, "Cash only?" and then left the line. They were a young couple. Just a reminder, electronic money is not accepted here, so please be careful.

I visited a bagel specialty store that I was curious about! I arrived 40 minutes before opening and there was no line, but when I came back 10 minutes before opening... there was already a line haha. They only allow 2 people in at a time, so it takes a bit of time. The store is small and cute♡ There are not many types of bagels, but freshly baked ones keep coming out hot. I bought almost all types♡ There was also a limit on the number of bagels you can buy. The bagels are crispy, chewy, and heavy! One is enough to make you full♡

Plain 170 yen, Tanba black bean and black sesame 250 yen. This popular bagel shop often sells out. The plain bagel is chewy and tastes great when sandwiched with ham. The black bean bagel has a nice sweetness from the black beans and a great aroma from the sesame. Personally, I prefer the black bean bagel.

At a popular shop in the arcade shopping street, I visited just before closing time and found that there was already a line of over 10 people. In addition to the plain type, I also bought a walnut bagel. I had it for breakfast. I warmed it up a little in the toaster, and it was delicious without being too chewy. It had a nice balance of sweetness.

The shop always sells out by noon. I arrived around 11:30 and waited in line for about 20 minutes before getting in. The shop only allows two people inside at a time, so it took a while. They were already sold out of the Very Berry and Fig & Nut flavors, along with many others. You have to line up before 11 am. I bought a Cinnamon and Nut bagel. They only had two cheese flavors and a Chocolate bagel left. My friend bought all four flavors. You can buy up to 12 bagels per person. They are a bit pricey, but they are delicious.

When walking through the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, I saw a long line! It was around 10:50, and there were already nearly 30 people in line! Even though it was a weekday! About 80% of the people in line were women... I thought it must be really delicious, so I decided to wait in line. The shop opened at 11:00. The shop is small, so they let in 2 people at a time. While waiting in line, the line kept getting longer. Even people passing by stopped to look. After waiting for nearly 30 minutes, I finally got inside the shop! It smelled really good. I bought a plain one for 250 yen, and red bean paste and black sesame ones for 270 yen each! Looking at other people's photos, I realized that the prices had gone up due to the current situation. Since they were freshly baked, they were warm and fluffy! When I took a bite... Yes! It's definitely worth waiting in line to eat these! The plain one had a strong wheat flavor even without any toppings and was delicious! Although there was a limit on the number of items each person could buy, everyone was buying a lot, so it might be a good idea to line up early.

Around 12 o'clock, there were about 25 people waiting in front of the store when I arrived. It was a Saturday, so it was no surprise to see a busy scene at the Tenroku Shotengai regardless of the weather. While waiting in line, the staff informed us that there might be some items sold out soon. Fortunately, I was able to purchase what I wanted in the end. - Plain (216 yen): Simple yet delicious, with a perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness from the wheat flavor. - Blueberry & Milk Tea (292 yen): A smooth combination of blueberry and white chocolate in the dough, creating a nice sweetness. - Chocolate (292 yen): Finely crushed almonds sprinkled on top, with a well-balanced chocolate flavor and a pleasant touch of cranberry acidity. - Pecan & Cinnamon (292 yen): Crunchy texture with plenty of caramelized sugar, enhanced by a strong cinnamon flavor and the nuttiness of pecans. - Onion Cheese Melt (324 yen): A classic combination of onion and cheese that melts perfectly into the dough, without needing to reheat, allowing the rich cheese flavor to shine through.

There is always a long line at this shop in Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, but there were hardly any options left. I managed to buy Onion Cheese Melt (324 yen) x 2 and Chocolate (292 yen). Even though there were only two options left, they were delicious and chewy. I understand why there is always a line here. The joy of being able to buy and eat is truly satisfying.

I arrived 30 minutes before opening but there was already a long line! There were probably more than 20 people waiting. Inside the shop, only 2 people were allowed in at a time, so it was moving slowly, which could be tough in winter. Finally, when I entered, I found that they had a wide variety of bagels. When I tried one, I discovered that bagels could be this delicious!
